Delicious! I can’t believe I haven’t been here before! I got the lunch special with red lentil soup and ground lamb kabob. Both were so good, there was nothing left of either! Will definitely come again!

BESTFILETMIGONKABOBEVER. I come here frequently and have tried other«kabob» places in the are but this one takes the cake. The kabob is so soft and full of flavor and the rice is perfect. Lunch special is $ 9 and it comes with a lentil soup which is also amazing. Will always love this place. Oh and customer service is perfect.

I almost ate dinner here yesterday because the Unilocal page looked great, but when I got there, the whole restaurant smelled like cigarette smoke. It was pretty strong, so I decided to leave. It’s a shame because the food looked delicious.

We had a great dinner here with a group of 8. While it was our first time, a friend who joined us is a regular here. For appetizers we had the sampler dip platter, the large shepherd salad(plenty to split between a group), and the liver appetizer. Everything was great and the hummus was the best I’ve ever had. I had the lamb kabobs for dinner and every single piece of meat on my plate was tender and perfect. I asked for a side of tzatziki sauce and it was the perfect addition to each bite. Our server was also very friendly and took great care of our table. Highly recommend this place!

Really great food. We’ve had the lamb kabab dinner, the filet mignon/gyro dinner. We’ve been there for lunch a couple of times. All food is very fresh and tasty. The I LOVE the red cabbage and salad. My husband has been pleased with everything he has eaten as well. He loves the red lentil soup with lemon. Friendly staff and good service. This restaurant is pretty much the only reason I will be sad about moving out of the area. Try it, you’ll love it!

Great little Mediterranean place. Lunch is just under $ 10, has tons of options, and includes a starter salad/soup. Staff is super friendly and nice. One of my favorite places to grab lunch in Katy.

I am unimpressed and disappointed by this place. I think the people who have referred me here must not know good Mediterranean food. I ordered the lunch one, a shepherd salad and chicken kabob, I asked for a side of hummus. Lunch special is around $ 8, my ordering hummus made it $ 15, that’s a bit much. My salad didn’t even have feta cheese because I forgot to order it for an additional dollar. I think that should just be included. I brushed price aside hoping the flavor would make up for the price. To my disappointment, it did not. The chicken was good. although slightly salty, the rice was good, though not authentic to me. But the single tomato and bell pepper that came with my kabob were not grilled enough, still firm. And one half of a tomato and a piece of bell pepper with no grilled onions? Come on. The hummus is not good. There was not enough flavor, it needs more garlic and God knows what else. Pita bread is just ok. I give his place 2 stars only because the customer service is great, food no.

WOW! Great Turkish flavors. Food was fresh, tasty and service was great. Overall great experience. Lamb and Filet sis kalbob were cooked to order. Red lentil soup needs the squeeze of lemon. It is bright and hearty. I am ready to come back to explore more of the menu!

We had our staff Christmas lunch here yesterday and it was perfect! They set up a space for us and provided everything we could need. The food was delicious, although the meat portion could have been a bit larger. The soup, the salad the bread, EVERYTHING was delicious! The Turkish coffee and Baklava was spot on! The only complaint is the smoke smell that seemed to permeate the place after we had been there for over an hour. Everyone was pleased and had a great time!

My wife and I have eaten here several times. We have enjoyed the food every time. We really think that their lentil soup is great and of course their cabbage rolls are wonderful too. We have tried several items on their menu and have not been disapointed yet. The staff is very helpful. It is a pleasant place to go for lunch or dinner. There is not a lot of tables and they do get busy at peak times.

Very friendly staff, and everything I’ve had here has been wonderful. Their gyros are very fresh and the only ones in town that don’t give my husband heart burn, lol. I love the red lentil soup and shepherd salad, that’s usually all I get and I crave it all the time.

Lamp and fillet mignon kabobs were excellent… Possibly the best in Houston… Yes even better than Istanbul Grill in Rice Village. Service was good. Plenty of parking. The only gripe is the inside smells like cigarette smoke. If weather permits, we will sit outside next visit. Yes, once you taste their grilled meats you would be hard pressed not to return for more. I’m planning to be a regular here.

This is a pretty solid 4 star place based solely on the vegetarian food. Some of the other reviewers complained about the meat, so discount this if you’re a meat lover. Let’s do a sectional review this time. Ambience/cleanliness: 3.5. The place smells of tobacco for some reason, not much ambience to speak of– run of the mill tables, tablecloth and silverware. Napkins could do with a bit of freshening up. Service: 5⁄5. Simply stellar. Very attentive, very very patient and cheerful staff. I felt I was at a fine dining place coz of the service. Food: 4⁄5. The restaurant offers complimentary bread and olive oil at the onset of the meal. We ordered a medium combo(7 cold appetizers– humus, babaganouj, Ezme, tabuli, lebni, cacik, pilaki) of which IMHO the ezme was outstanding. The combo comes with pita bread — the fresh kind. We also ordered falafel and fried zucchini. The felafel was pretty legit. We also got the red lentil soup. I was pretty iffy about this one, as they’d added mint to it. I’m not sure that’s the traditional way, but with a bit of fresh squeezed lime, the soup tasted great. The vegetable stew was wholesome and felt very home style. Not too spicy; the flavors blended perfectly and paired perfectly with the rice. I had the Turkish coffee and a little bit of the house wine(merlot) which were also pretty standard. Here comes the star of the show– the dessert. Baklava and a shredded wheat pastry that is filled with cheese, nuts and baked. And we all died and attained salvation. If not for anything else, come here for the dessert. Which is why I don’t have pics of said dessert– the 7 of us at the table attacked the thing with fury. I felt the portions were pretty decent, unlike some Austin restaurants that I usually frequent. It’s a pretty good place to visit if you’re in the area. It will probably do wonders to refresh the interiors a little bit and add a fresh coat of light paint. As for the food– I wouldn’t change a thing. Keep it up, Ephesus.

So a little back story– I’m a very picky eater and did not like Arabic/Mediterranean food. My parents had a date night, and they wanted Arabic. I used Unilocal to recommend them here. They had positive reviews about the food, the only complaint being that there was a smell of smoke. So despite my pickiness, I decided to see for myself, and I’m obsessed ! I love their lentil soup, and I always order the chicken kebab. A definite recommendation:)

Summary– Decent Mediterranean but I was expecting more based on the reviews. Food– 3 Stars Gyro meat was pretty good and it is house made according to a message sent to me from someone that works there. That makes sense because it was the best Gyro meat I have had since moving from the Northeast. Baba Gannoush was solid, probably my favorite thing. Eggplant Salad was decent. I never understand why these places use what appears to be food service pita bread. Blah. Service– 4 Stars Friendly and quick. Value– 4 Stars Cheap lunch special, a good amount of food but not an insane value. Atmosphere– 3 Stars Nice cozy strip mall kinda place. Does have outdoor seating.

I’m not understanding the hype for this place. Unilocaled it because of the great reviews and the many mentions of lentil soup. It’s nicely decorated and has a classy feel. The waiter was very nice and quick to take our order. I tried the lentil soup, the hummus and the falafel. I was underwhelmed with all 3! The lentil soup was a very small serving. It was bland. I’ve had better in Italian places. I really appreciated the fact that it was an option but I didn’t really enjoy it. The hummus was also bland. They brought out the hummus after my soup which made no sense to me at all since the hummus was my starter. Falafel was alright but in a poor presentation. It was a generous serving of falafel. The only thing that was GREAT about this place is the prices. 3.50 for a soup and 4 bucks for hummus. Unbeatable! I might try to come back. Maybe it was just a bad day for soup and hummus.

The baba ghanouj is delicious. The amount, however, was quite small, even for an appetizer. The unsatisfactory parts of the meal were: — the quality of the filet mignon, and — the cabbage rolls. The filet tasted really gamy and made me wonder about its freshness. And I had read another Unilocaler praise the rolls and was really excited; I was let down by their mushiness. The cabbage had to have been reheated at least a couple of times. I do, however, want to end on a good note because the service is great here. Melad was attentive, polite, and charming. I also really liked the lamb chops — grilled to medium perfection. And the milk and vanilla roll I can’t pronounce but was recommended by Melad was delicious with coffee! So the next time I’m here, I’ll get just the lamb chops and the dessert :) Easy parking.
