Mezban has recently got new ownership and it’s amazing now. I never really liked the food or environment before but the waitstaff and even owners are so friendly. They’ve gotten new chefs and the food is delicious. For an Indian restaurant even their burgers are as good as their chicken tikka and kabob rolls. Highly recommend checking them out again

The place does not have a good sitting arrangement as most of Indo/Pak resturants, anyways some of items on the menu are delicious AF but then at the same time some are not so good in taste. Chicken/Mutton Karahi is really good and Beef Behari Kebab is a must try and thats about it. Biryani and Chicken Seekh Kebabs are not so good.

I’m always down for trying new places up North side(of Houston) so we decided to try a new curry spot. Goat biryani — goat meat had a good portion and the flavor in each bite was so so tasty. Goat curry — 7.99. Oh hot damn that was nice n spicy. Generous portion of meat again and the flavor was up to par. I would even compare it to the curry at Himilaya. but I’d rather go here since it’s much closer. woohoo! Samosa(vegetarian) — good, not great but totally hit the spot. Great starter. The naan comes out fresh and fluffy. It’s 2/$ 1. Tip: add a cash tip for the employees there, they were so friendly and helpful!

Great place to get persian on the northside of Houston. Gone are my days of driving 35 minutes for Persian food!!! I’ve only had to-go so I’m not sure about eating there but don’t worry the place looks like a cheesy nightclub on the outside but the food is good on the inside. Quick service. I’ve ordered from there twice and once there was some difficulty ordering and the second time was much better. Beef Kebab– good; it’s no the chunks that you’re thinking about it’s the ground beef kebobs — well seasoned and flavorful. Karahi Chicken — very good; my favorite dish there. Spicy chicken in a garlic tomato sauce. great with naan or rice Rice — good basmati rice; you have to order it their meals don’t come with it.

A friend recommended this place and said everything on the menu is good. The place is on the narrow side, a typical neighborhood eatery. The bathroom was clean. Soft music. Very friendly staff. Had some trouble ordering since I’m not familiar with the food and the names did not have a description with them. Ordered lunch special, rice with two Kebabs and somosa chaat. Tried Pakota soft drink from pakistan. It tasted like pumarosa fruit. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.

I’m torn between 2 and 3 stars. Good food(chicken reshmi, and especially the papri chat). However, the owner needs to make these changes: — people dining in should not have to use Plastic ware. You have a sink, please get some silverware. — don’t serve salads on styrofoam plates. — Have your employees try all things on the menu — BIGGiE: have pictures of all dishes on a laminated sheet. I heard you were getting a monitor to show dishes… Guests want to know what something is, not wait for a screen to scroll through 30 menu items before they see it. — GET the DIRTY Mop Bucket Out of the small bathroom. No guest wants to see this.

I love trying new food so I decided to try this new place. As soon as I entered, I was greeted & felt like a valued customer. If you love Indian/Pakistani food you must try this place. I had the Chicken Kabob Roll along with the Mixed Vegetable Pakora and they were awesome. I will be back to try other items! I am a fan! :)

«Mezban: Persian word literally meaning a host.(from ) The word now means ‘community feasting’. It is usually hosted by rich people and the main occasion to organize it is the observance of the some religious days and for special occasions. The invitation is open and according to tradition, once the information about organization of mezban is made public, it becomes a social responsibility for all to join it.» The interior is new, remodeled with good furniture, simple but artful décor and clean. It’s somewhat narrow, but has about a dozen tables or so. And no blazing TV hanging in the corner!(the street’s other places may complain to the authorities about this) Menu(on the wall & a to-go one): Has a category of ‘BBQ’, which really means the indoor kitchen grill. These items are chicken and beef(different kebabs and pieces). Chicken Tikka, Bihari, Rashmi, Seekh(B or C), Charga Deep-fried items: chicken and Lahori fish. Kebab Roll(option parata +$ 1), Chicken or Seekh The odd menu item: Cheese Burger with Fries. About 9 Chaat offerings, and 3 Roti. But for novices, there are no pictures of items on the menu. My feast order: Chicken Kebab Roll($ 6), which was 5-star terrific. I had it with the grilled bread(paratha). The roll comes with a liquidy-light-green sauce that is mild, but adds a nice touch of flavor to round-out the kebab inside and onions and lettuce. The kebab is about 10 inches long and about inches thick. The meat was perfectly cooked and not chewy. Mango Lassi($ 3.50) was good, but diluted a bit compared to those from my favorite places. Friendly and good service. Seems family-owned and operated. As Mezban Host, the owner was very helpful. As Parasite, I enjoyed the Roll. Now this street intersection has 3 very good places(this one, Kebab Korner and Crawfish & Wings) in case one is packed.
