Awful awful awful customer service! Called to place an order, the woman on the phone sounded so mad and impatient. Went to pick up my order she was even worse! Not sure if she’s the owner of the place. This is No way to treat customers! Won’t return or recommend to anyone!

The crawfish is basically their specialty here, they are delicious, seasomed just spicy enough to give them some kick without having your nose running! They are reasonably priced but it stops right there! The bayou platter fried is overpriced at around $ 12 in the drive thru because you have to pay for the to go packaging! You want an extra tarter sauce or two, you’re going to pay for it. The service is fairly decent unless you encounter the African American lady with the glasses, she’s a bit rude. Parking is not an issue here and the inside and out are pretty clean. When you walk in, there’s that good olé’ Cajun smell that would lead you to believe that the platters are going to be very nicely seasoned but that’s not the case unless you order crawfish. The seasoning is very bland so I guess the aroma comes from the crab and crawfish boiling. Overall it’s a decent place for a family night out for dinner but just make sure you’re prepared for a hefty bill!

It’s my first time there and there was only one person eating at the diner area. i began to question myself if this place was legit or not… decided to give it a try. so i stood in front of the counter looking at their menu. and it Took the black lady about 5 mins to acknowledge me because she was on her phone. I told her or was my first time there and asked for her recommendation. long story short she was verrrry rude. She gave me an attitude and never once smiled. She looks like she hates her job and dont want to be there. i tried their crawfish fried rice and seafood gumbo. It was good. Just really bad service. They need to hire someone else that actually gives a damn.

The crawfish here are OK. Not bad. Not overly buttery. I’d go here again if my favorite spot has a wait.

The African American cashier is very rude and argumentative. I’m sure that’s why there was only 2 customers there. They also changed their recipe, ordered extra spicy and received big dry ass crawfish drowned in extra thick clumpy hot sauce. Should have just driven to LA Crawfish on I10, great crawfish and BYOB…

Great Crawfish, good price, crappy service. I’m not sure if you are suppose to tip in a place like this, but I was going to until the lady was so RUDE. I asked how much the crawfish was and then again to verify the price cause it was lower than I expected she replied«I SAID $ 5.99lb!» Then when I was leaving, I asked for a «to go» tea and she said«we don’t do that», not we’d have to charge you for another tea, but«we don’t do that.» Weird, guess nobody that goes thru the drive thru ever gets something to drink and those paper cups in the corner are just for looks. I would’ve given it five stars if it weren’t for her.

Really good fresh white chicken wings. I got the 5 wings with rice. Very good meal! 3 hot lemon pepper wings and 3 hot wings. Made with love. The shrimp fried rice is good as well! Don’t let this outside scare you. Sure it’s run down and the area can seem shady but the food is good! Call ahead and pick up on drive thru

Great food! Place is kind of ghetto! Some of the prices on the menu is overrated! The crawfish effoute is pretty good! I would recommend the crawfish Poboys! I haven’t tried the chicken! I’m very particular about my chicken!

Great Crawfish! and a very large menu. Lots of cajun food to choose from. Mostly your deep fried stuff, gumbo, and jambalaya. This is my go to spot for crawfish. They’re just in season so they’re still a little small. I love the seasoning. It is thrown on top of the crawfish after they’ve been cooked(I know some people are very particular about this) When they serve them, they leave some of the boiling water at the bottom of the bag, which makes the ones at the bottom even better. They also serve head on boiled shrimp, which makes them 10x better than headless shrimp. Friday’s they have a 5 dollar pitcher special on budlight and budweiser. Service is fast, crowd is a toss up. It is always packed so that alone tells you how good the food is.

really great food! if crawfish, and wings are posted on the building then automatically you would suspect that these two items are the best that they have to offer… and I can speak on the chicken. I am not a fan of fried chicken at all. but this chicken has got to be the best ive tased in a longgggg time. and the rice omg to die for. I allso came back and got some boiled shrimp for here, which where also delicious. and also boilded turkey necks. the prices arnt to bad, I ordered enough for two ppl to eat and spent about $ 23.00 and thats to include the seafood. the only bad thing I have to say about this place is, they take forever with your food. I actually fell asleep at the Window, and what woke me up was my car moving caz I had taken my foot off the suggest calling in your order, so that your not waiting so long. but I still give them 5 stars yupp the food is just thT good. even worth the wait

This place was ok… I wasn’t wowed. Food could be more reasonable. I’ll go back only if I’m in the area already.

This place has amazing crawfish. I love their gumbo and fried fish. I been coming here since it first opened, and all I can say the food is awesome. It is a hole in the wall but a great place to get some awesome food.

This place is pretty good! I would have never stopped there if it wasn’t for my mom because it looks raggedy from the outside lol! But the food turned out good. We sat down and ate in the inside and ummm let’s just say it’s not the greatest view in there. I got the fried shrimp platter and it came with fries, corn, & garlic toast. Everything is reasonably priced and I’ll definitely be going bak more often since they have a drive thru. :) I’ve been hearing they have really good drinks too, but I wasn’t able to try one but I will. I plan to try the crawfish as well!

Service kind of sucked. The lady who took our order was rude. Food was okay. Crawfish Étouffée was pretty bland. The only good thing was the crawfish. Restaurant is also kind of dirty.

This place made me like crawfish! Now I’ve tried them at every restaurant I’ve gone to that has them(& that’s a lot, because I’m a seafood junkie). This little spot still reigns supreme. The seasoning is just amazing. My friends/fam and I usually order pounds of the mild crawfish with potatoes and corn, and chat/laugh while we eat outside on the patio. Friendly staff. Delicious margaritas, too. I’ve never tried the wings so I won’t comment on them, but you can’t go wrong with the crawfish. Oh… And if you’re in a rush, they also have a drive thru!

In my personal opinion, its has the best crawfish in houston. Service was really nice, and food was great. I recommend the crawfish and etouffe to everyone. Judging from outside, you couldnt tell though. Place is a fixer-upper but dont let that scare from great food and great service.

Delicious spicy crawfish in North Houston. The area is not so great, but I still go 2 – 3 times a week for my crawfish fix.

I learned 2 very important things today, as I seem to be living in Houston more now then I am in Canada. 1) The place to get Crawfish on a Sunday evening is this place. 2) I dont think I like Crawfish that much. Not that they are not tasty, but so much work. Like I could get how they were an important dietary staple back in the day, but for me, I think I will still go after shrimp instead of them when possible. However, this place as extremely awesome. From what was obviously an old KFC or Jack in the box or something they have created what could only be described as a food specific paradise. The all female staff was awesome with their quick turn around of large orders of crawfish and other LA delights. The Corn was amazing and the piece of sausage include in our order was just down right perfect. The fried okra was made fresh, not the frozen stuff you can find at other places. If you are a crawfish eater, I would totally go out of your way to pick up a to go order, or watch law and order on the TV while munching down on these little mini fresh water pinchers!

Good food in a casual place. It’s mostly a Cajun menu, but there are enough other selections if Cajun is not your thing. For example, I was told by a regular customer the crawfish and spicy-coated snow crabs are the best items here. As for wings, I am not sure there is anything special about them here, other than they optionally are served with Cajun Fries. My order: Fried shrimp(5) small platter, which comes with small corn on the cob and garlic bread. I added a cup of gumbo. Fried Shrimp: Worthy. Perfectly cooked. Not greasy. Nice crispy breading, and a non-chewy shrimp inside. Tartar sauce was very good, and seemed home made. What a combo. I would be very tempted to order this again. BG’s Gumbo: Average. It contained very small shrimp(from frozen), smoked sausage(not overpowering the flavor), and crab. The thickened roux seems rushed. It’s not a filé gumbo. It was not hot spicy at all, so I added some Tobasco and it tasted OK. I would not order this again, though. French Fries: Excellent. They were traditional half inch size, with straight-cut sides, freshly and perfectly cooked, dusted lightly with seasoned salt. A 5 inch fry was not too stiff, and only slightly bent when held horizontal. Very yum. Corn on the cob: Apparently boiled in crab boil for a bit of nice flavoring. It was cooked too long, and was too soft for me, but was very tasty. Garlic bread: Good. This 3“x4″ piece was thin; apparently a large French roll brushed with garlic butter and specks of parsley and pressed on a flat griddle to toast the one side. It was not over or under buttered, and if anything, light on garlic. I liked a couple of lime slices that come with the platter(actually a basket). Brownies are home made(but no pecans in them). I resisted this time, but the looks of them are enticing. Prices are typical for a casual place. Note there is a surcharge of 5% on take-out orders. This is the original location, and I’m sure the new location is nicer, because some regular customers are now going there. That, plus the oil spill have impacted the level of business here, as people seem to be wary of food and/or their jobs. I did notice there were many more drive-thru customers than walk-ins. Only one person serves both the window and the counter, so that is a bit annoying.
