My wife and I get Le Viet to go pretty often. It’s one of our go-to’s. But we’ve only actually eaten physically at the restaurant a couple times. We usually order to go so can’t really remark on the service with an informed opinion. Spicy Lemongrass Tofu — 5⁄5(avoid the huge garlic pieces) Spicy Lemongrass Chicken — 3⁄5 Autumn Rolls — 5⁄5 Bun Xiao — 4⁄5 — wife loves it. The phở, vermicelli bowls, and rice plates are all great considering how far this place is from Chinatown. I wouldn’t say this is the best restaurant in Houston but it’s nice to have a pretty decent Vietnamese restaurant close to home.

I’ve frequented this place quite a few times now and I keep telling myself its not as bad as it was last time, but now the disappointment has set in. The first time I ate here it was great, I ordered the bun xiao(its like a giant Vietnamese taco). Every time I’ve come in after has been worse either in service, food quality, or both. Food is ok and service is ok.

Great food, very cheap, and awesome service. Me and my friends/coworkers come here at least once a month, so worth it. The family style choices are great, with a lot of variety. The quality is A+

The Happy Buddha phở bowl(vegetarian) isn’t good compared to steak phở. Although I haven’t tried their steak phở. The Spicy Lemongrass Tofu is good but would be better with rice especially since it’s spicy. On a spice scale of a little spicy, spicy, very spicy, and ridiculously spicy, it’s a spicy. All of a sudden«spicy» doesn’t look like an actual word. lol Anyway, I also got vegetarian egg rolls which are huge and yummy but I got it to-go and there wasn’t any duck sauce.

We ordered several items on the menu and all were pretty flavorful. The waiter that we had was really nice and attentive. My husband tries the Vietnamese beer and really liked it. All in all, good food, great service… Will definitely be back!

As soon as I walk in it’s like a warm feeling environment the wait staff were friendly and attentive I had one of their phở bowls which come with three choice of toppings and of course it will come with fresh herbs on the side and they were all delicious by the end of that I was full and satisfied. Also I was amazed how cheap it was with a meal, chips and beer I will be coming back here for more.

This place is probably one of my favorite phở places in Houston. The service is not always the best but the food makes up for that. Seriously the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. They’re cut in half, perfect for sharing! I also love how you have the option of 3 proteins in your phở and it’s only like $ 8. They have good daily specials too. I highly recommend going here.

Granted the location is a little hidden the Phở I had was very tasty and price wise I only spent $ 13 for my whole meal. 2 Autumn rolls, and my Phở with beef and chicken was very good. I would give 5 stars but I am big on Ambience and the way I was seated I felt like everyone was watching each other eat. Overall good spot to go to!

This gem was quite yummy! I had the spring roll to start which was quite good and a nice size. The lemon pepper wings are to die for! There are other flavors if you are not a fan of lemon pepper. For the entrée, I had the Phở — Well Done Beef which was very flavorful with a good balance of meat and noodles. This place is not meant for the ambiance. The food is what you go and come again for!

I arrived on a Friday afternoon around 12:30 pm. It was busy, but there were still plenty of tables open. I got seated(by myself) in the middle of the dining area. I don’t enjoy eating in the center of everyone while dining alone, just a pet peeve of mine. The waiter gets my drink order taken care of quickly. I order my food when he brings my drink. Order of spring rolls and well done beef phở. I get the spring rolls in less than five minutes. Really tasty and fresh. The waiter does not stop at my table at any point to ask if I’m doing okay. I wanted a bottle of Sriracha for my table, but I guess the waiter thought it wasn’t worth ever stopping to see if I was doing alright. Only 4 small pieces of beef in my soup. Broth was flavorful though. I had to wave my waiter down to get the check. He seemed attentive to all the other tables besides mine. In my opinion, I would give this place another try but only with a larger group. I wouldn’t order the phở though b/c of how disappointing the serving was.

This is a pretty good Vietnamese restuarant for this area of town. I really like their rice plates and eggrolls. I like the fact that you are able to choose what you want in your rice plate. I always have them add a fried egg on mine. There phở is ok here.

Came in for lunch with a co-worker and ordered the lemon grass chicken. You get a half chicken with rice and soup for $ 7.50. Chicken was slightly dry but still tasted good. Can’t complain for the price.

The 2nd time to eat at this restaurant. At 1st I was like… why is there no people here? Then I looked at my watch and said oh ok it’s a week day and some people have to work… lol The atmosphere here is very smooth and relaxed. The service it on point and food is served fast, fresh and hot. They have a full bar, which is fun and good. The food was amazing and delicious. I can’t find the words to explain, what I’m really trying to say. Just know y’all must come and try out.

complimentary fish chips, great service, cleanliness and delicious food. Decent prices on the food, a little more expensive than the phở restaurants in Bellaire. Staff is attentive, re filling my water and checking on our table. The phở broth is clear but does not lack flavor. The noodles are cooked just right and you can choose up to 3 meats or pay extra for more. I came in hungry and left satisfied. I would definitely come back.

I’m still very sad that they closed down van loc. It was hands down the best and I always had Sunday lunch with my mom and sis there. So since it’s closing, I’ve searched around and have not been able to substitute it, until now. Le viet is as close as I will ever come. I ordered spring rolls, vermicelli bowl, 2 ice teas and lemongrass tofu for a total of $ 24.25. The plates were very flavorful and the vermicelli bowl in particular was even tastier then what I am used to. It would have definitely been a 5 star if they had better customer service! They were definitely not rude but I had to hunt them down for ice tea refills!

One star off because my water wasn’t kept full. Very important to me, not even a refill at the end where I was eating the ice I was so thirsty! The waiters walked around quite often to ask if everything was okay fit every table but mine. I can’t alone this time since I was craving bang xeo! I ordered eggrolls & banh xeo. I LOVED that they gave me lots of rau! Lots of greens! I was able to have enough lettuce to roll up my eggrolls and bang xeo for dipping! The fish sauce was good! I would perfer to add a little more siracha to it though!(I like spicy hehe) Eggrolls were crispy and fresh! I like Bang xeo was huge! I’m glad I came alone, and sat at a 4 person table because there wouldn’t be anymore room for anyone’s else’s food but my own! Lol. That plate took up 1⁄3 of the table alone. I enjoyed ripping the crispy ends off and eating them. My favorite part! To my surprise, it was all crispy and good! My only complaint is that it is full of bean sprouts! I guess when made at home we stuff it with pork, shrimp, and a fair amount of bean sprouts. But here, wayyy too much bean sprouts and not enough pork/shrimp.(They also add in mushroom) it was $ 7.50 for banh xeo which is not a bad price. The servers are very nice! I wouldn’t mind coming back to try the other menu items that Unilocalers are raving about! Pictures included!
