Went here 9÷11÷15 at 8pm and ordered a build your own burrito for 8 dollars. Even though the Burrito could have contained anything I want, I asked for just chicken black beans, and salsa. The chefs put in two ice cream scoopers of black beans and one ice cream scooper up chicken, not even enough to make a proper quesadilla. When I asked if I could have an extra scoop of chicken, they told me it would cost almost 3 dollars extra. When I stated that I didn’t add Guacamole, cheese, or anything else under the sun, the chef rudely told me there was nothing he could do. I wound up paying the extra. This place has you prisoner since it’s in an airport. Do not do business here if you can avoid it.

For airport food this place really isn’t too shabby. Food seems fresher than most places and the staff is courteous. I had the veggie bowl and substituted the rice for lettuce. Pretty decent, filled me up and got me on my way to my next flight. Nachos are pretty good and aren’t greasy!

La Salsa(No) Pronto. I don’t think I’ve ever met two employees who give two poos less about their jobs. From the pimple picking of the cashier to the lady who moved slower than a ten year old bottle of molasses, being a customer at this establishment was pure torture. I found my heart rate obnoxiously high after I finally received my food and thanked heavens that I wasn’t in a super hurry. Key reasons I would steer clear: slow and poor service, lack of cleanliness and Mexican food that is similar to that of burritos and rice found in the freezer section. Meh. Me thinks not.

Had a lay over in Houston and decided to try this place since it’s the closest thing I can get to Chipotle. Got the California burrito and it just tasted very plain and it didn’t help that they limit you to two tiny servings of salsa which also lacked taste. Price wise it wasn’t bad at all though for an airport, burrito and a fountain drink only cost me $ 8.64.

Airport food always leaves me disappointed. Why can I not get a decent meal? Why am I so often left hungry afterward? Why do prices have to be so unreasonable? An apple juice was $ 2.59! The one good thing about restaurants like this is that you don’t have to stay around them for too long. I ordered the breakfast tacos here for $ 4.69 because it was breakfast time. They gave me two tacos, both of which were ridiculously small. The wait took forever because the workers like to take their time with your meal. So much for pronto. At least Einstein Bros. Bagels isn’t bad.

Worst airport stand ever. Rude, unfriendly service, missing half their food and drink, including no hot coffee at 8am, and what they did make — breakfast tacos — tasted like $#|^. I ate 2 bites, threw it away, and went to Panopolis for a cookie and coffee. Makes Bubba’s Bayou Grill across the hall seem like a Michelin 5 star in comparison. Seriously, this place is a pit! I should have sensed it, Einstein Bros had a huge line but this place was empty. Know better now…

This is airport food, so the bar isn’t that high. But the avacado’s were browning there in the bar, the staff weren’t great(rude). A woman, who was being served before me, asked for fresher avacado’s. She was told, «No», not very polite(so minus a couple stars right there). I wasn’t really impressed with the service or the food, had I known I would have chose something else. I was very willing to give this place a chance, but it was understaffed at noon, the employees were burnt out. I was out on business, when I come back to this airport I will avoid this place.

First off, not a single person smiled that worked here. So that gave me a hint this wasn’t going to go good. Not only was everyone who worked here miserable, they must have a lack of brain cells with how slow they were working. They do realize we are at an airport with a flight to catch? I’ve never seen someone put rice and beans in a bowl slower in my entire life, I almost missed my flight. Asked for no salsa, they put the salsa still. Then I was given attiude when I made them start over for being so miserable about their life they cant even listen. Oh and 30 minutes after I ate(on the plane of course because they were that slow with only 4 people in line) I puked on the plane. I’ve been flying for 20 years and have never thrown up on a plane. DONTGOHERE!!!

The food is good, but the service is bad. There was no one around me, I was the first one. No one care to take my order until more people showed up. When they were making my tacos, I felt I was in a prision line by the way they were asking me what I wanted in my tacos. Horrible! Common service in Airports. Good luck!

Flavor was unexciting, but not bad. The portions are pretty good sized so I’d say it’s a pretty good value. Overall I was happy I ate there. Make sure to get salsa.

Breakfast is served until 11AM. $ 7.66 gets you 2 breakfast tacos and an orange juice. The breakfast tacos are tiny. Both combined are shorter than my hand’s length and no wider than my hand. Half the time I can’t understand the staff’s English. I’m used to foreign accents, but for some reason, it’s hard at this place. I wish there was a chorizo breakfast option. If I have the time, and if I have to choose an airport breakfast place, I’d go to Panchito’s in terminals A or B.

I really wanted to like this place, and I was starving(a good set-up for liking a place), but it didn’t work out. I found my burrito grande to be bland; it tasted similar to almost every other fast food burrito I’ve had. I was initially excited about the guacamole, but I could barely taste it. However, this place has one redeeming quality — the portions here are huge. I guess that saying about everything being bigger in Texas is true.

Really great food and they were fairly quick in making it. Stopped in at this location in between flights and had no troubles at all. Prices not too bad either. I would stop here again if i were to find myself in Terminal C at the Houston airport.

I came here with my husband to grab something quick during a layover in Houston. First of all, the line was very disorganized. The people working there also did not communicate or even seem to care. For instance, I ordered a salad and the guy asked if I wanted the dressing on the side. I said OK. The salad was passed to the next guy who drowned my salad in dressing. Also they got the order wrong for the prior customer. Each dish also comes with salsa. From the picture it looks great, but the side salsa that was given to me and my husband came in a very small container that was mostly liquid. I know you can’t have a salsa bar in the location, but please be a bit more generous with the salsa… Even so, the food was decent. I wish that I got Wendy’s next door.

Number 1… the place was dirty. I couldn’t tell who was in charge of the pigsty. The staff was either inept to do a good job or either they just didn’t care about doing a good job. The cashier was polite and seemed to know what he was doing. The others need some more on the job training. I ordered a cheese Quesadilla the employee put so much cheese in the tortilla that the flour tortilla was burnt black on the outside and most of the cheese on the inside was not melted it was still cold and in it’s original shredded form. I said to the guy the cheese is not melted properly and his response was, well I didn’t want to burn the outside and more… Really. Maybe next time use the right amount of cheese so that the outside is not burnt and the inside cheese is melted. I had been traveling for 9 hours at the time I stopped there and I was very hungry. I ate around the really burnt sections and said I will never stop at a La Salsa Pronto. I hope this is not affiliated with the Chain La Salsa…

Following a red eye flight out of Vegas, I found myself here at 6AM on a layover. I had a chance to grab a breakfast burrito at La Salsa Pronto, a small Tex-Mex burrito counter in Terminal C of the Houston Intercontinental Airport. Eggs, potatoes, cheese, choice of meat. The guy working let me do black beans. Overall, exactly what i expected, good food which tasted even better at 6AM. Hot sauce was actually surprisingly good, and with real heat. The regular menu features build your own burritos, salads, tacos and the like. They also serve beer, wine, and Margaritas. A-OK!
