La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston – Westchase

I have been staying at this hotel for a week now, and could not be happier with my stay. The staff have always been exceptionally nice and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean, well equipped, and great for the price. I do not like the bed, but I have several spinal fusions, so finding a comfortable bed for me is harder than the average person. The pool and hot tub are clean, although the water is not super warm yet, but that is because they are outdoors and this would be so with any hotel pool that is outdoors at this time of year. Exercise room is ample and has a variety of things for your workout. Breakfast is typical or above average for hotel breakfast. Everyday they have sausage and eggs with hot sauce and salt and pepper available, oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins on the side, cereal, milk, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, waffles with syrup and butter, bread for toast with peanut butter, butter and jelly, yogurt, muffins, etc. I consider this to be a great deal of options, especially since it is free with the purchase of your room. The woman who works breakfast area is very sweet and has always been very helpful. The front desk staff has been more than accommodating and they always greet me by name when entering the lobby. The business center has a printer with two new computers. Wifi in the rooms and in the pool area as well. Blow dryer, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, alarm clock, iron, ironing board, and desk in the room I am in. Direct tv for cable. Washer and dryer available to guests, coin operated, and they sell soap and dryer sheets at the front desk. For the price you pay, I think you are getting a great deal of service.

The room was inexpensive, they were friendly at check in and the breakfast was served on time (right at 6:00am)
The housekeeping staff missed some trash on the counter and a long black hair in the bathroom shelf right next to the towels. Keep in mind this room was supposed to be cleaned before I got it and then I was gone all day so it was supposed to be cleaned the second time. Hair and trash still remained.
I am a man with short hair so this had to be a woman’s long hair. It must have been from the person that stayed in the room before me.
They need to work on their quality control.

I’ve come to not expect much from this chain but some are an ok value. This IMO is not a good location as it is isolated and there is only one way out. The rooms are average but don’t have a living area like Comfort Suites/​Fairfield Inn and the TVs are old with poor picture. The breakfast is a bright spot. Next time would stay on Westheimer.

My wife and I were in Houston for a friend’s wedding, and we settled on this La Quinta for our quick weekend stay.
The hotel was fairly close to the wedding location, which was good because I absolutely HATE driving in Houston traffic. We booked everything pretty far in advance, so we got a pretty cheap rate. We arrived a few hours earlier than the listed check-​in time, but they had our room ready by the time we got there, so there was no problem at all. The room was clean and was just what I expected from a hotel chain.
I wasn’t as familiar with this area of Houston as I am with others, but the staff was very helpful in giving me directions and traffic tips. A+

Clean, spacious rooms with comfy beds and a decent breakfast buffet. Easy access to major arteries in the SW corridor of Houston. New hotel and security guard working the parking lot for car and personal safety — something I was glad to see when I checked in after 10p.

Don’t you just love it when you stay at a brand new hotel for a super low rate! Marble lobby, complimentary breakfast with eggs and bacon, fitness center, pool, free wifi and a super friendly staff!
All this and they drove me to my office too!
