I’ve ordered delivery from this location on several locations as my office is near but I really had a horrible experience this time around. I called at 10:30 to place an order for delivery at 11:30. Knowing that Jimmy John’s is fast, I mean that’s even their slogan, I wanted to have a quick lunch to my team before a meeting immediately after. By 11:40, my food had not arrived. When I called back to speak to the manager, he apologized and said that my food would be arriving 30 minutes late. When I asked him the reason for the hold up, he said that they were short on drivers today. i wish he would have imparted this information with me when I placed my order because I would have set the delivery time to be earlier or I would have ordered food elsewhere. Even though he apologized, he didn’t offer us anything in return until I really pushed for it. Eventually, he gave us a credit for a free sandwich on the house next time around. When you’re Jimmy John’s and you’re supposed to be «freaky fast,» but delivery arrives 30 minutes later than scheduled, I was expecting a full refund.

Crazy fast delivery, ordered online and they were here in under 10 minutes.

I like this Jimmy John’s. I find some of the employees slightly awkward(but that could be me) and the tables are not always clean, but for some reason I still get a good feeling in the JJ’s. And I love the food! The California-style club on wheat bread or any of their sandwiches as an «unwich»(wrapped in lettuce instead of bread) are delicious! I also enjoy their large pickles and lower-fat potato chips(«Thinnies). Jimmy John’s makes a great lunch!

First off, I’m rating this based on the food because the service varies so much at this place. I’ve had them tell me they didn’t deliver to my apt anymore when they have in the past at least 10 times. So I didn’t bother calling until yesterday afternoon at 12:30 on a Saturday. They pulled up my address(which they save with your name and number, which is a plus) and for some reason had no problem delivering to me. So either they pick and chose their deliveries by who’s the driver or they constantly change their delivery radius. Either way, pretty ridiculous BUT they have the best chips and I love their tuna. I don’t care for the wheat bread it is sliced way too thick and it’s not sub bread like their white bread. So ya it’s weird but I will still eat here for the fact that they usually deliver to me and I like the food. But beware of shotty service.(Yesterday’s was great)

The delivery range for this store is absolutely ridiculous. We are a few minutes away from them and«corporate» won’t let them go out of range, even for catering. no thank you.

Jimmy John’s is a pretty good spot to go for subs. But I almost never get a sub. I stick to the #3 tuna on wheat. Sandwich is a strong 4 all day(scale of 1 – 5). Tuna is pretty good, if you prefer a strong celery presence in your tuna. Fast and friendly service is another plus. Although, every time I do go, I seem to be the only one there.

On top of being rude, today marks the 5th day my order has been incomplete. I’m not sure how difficult it is to put a sandwich and bag of chips in a bag, but I’m pretty sure a child could complete the task. I love the sandwiches, especially when I can’t get away from my desk, but this is absolutely ridiculous. P. s. The managers don’t do anything about it. Not even an apology. They say they will send the chips out, well DUH, I’VEALREADYPAIDFORTHEM!

Worst jimmy johns I’ve been too. Used to go there a lot and would have them deliver to my work every once in a while until today when they decided not to deliver there anymore. Never will I eat there again. Talked to management there and we’re not helpful boasted about being a franchise and not having anyone to answer to.

This is the McDonalds of sub shops. You call this a sub shop… What a joke. They don’t even have Salt and Pepper or PICKLES. HOW do you NOT have those core ingredients at a sub shop? Help me understand that. I asked for a turkey with provolone, lettuce, tomato, salt/pepper and pickles… both the girl at the register and the guy making the subs looked at me like I had just farted. They couldn’t believe it! They said sir, we don’t carry that. I said carry what? They said salt/pepper and pickles… I said are you serious… and left. I just can’t comprehend how they don’t have those simple ingredients. Thats like a burger place not having ketchup or a bathroom not having toilets. What went through the owners mind when he decided to start this chain… where is the guy from that the sub shops growing up didn’t have salt/pepper and pickles — Mars?

I love JJ but the staff at this location act like you are the first customer they’ve ever taken an order from. ugh!

I love Jimmy John’s. The J.J. Gargantuan is my fave. I’ve tried some of the other sandwiches but to me the«gar» is the best by far. The service at the Yale Street location is always fast and friendly, I’ve never waited more than a few minutes even during lunch rush. Keep up the good work guys…

Out of the major sub/hoagie chains out there(quiznos, subway, which wich, and jj), I enjoy JJ the most. Their veggie club sub is so tasty and messy to eat. Probably the speed in which they put their sandwich together(under 5 min) relates to how messy the lettuce will fly when you bite into it. They use good bread, cheese, and spreads that I don’t really miss any meat. The price is reasonable without relying on gimmick sales. I’ve read some of the complaints from the other reviews but they seem like petty expectations for a fast food hoagie restaurant.

As with the other reviews, this place is edible but nothing special. The main draw for me is the proximity to my house in the Heights.

I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich, mehh. It was alright nothing spectacular. Lacking a bit of flavor or something, I just couldn’t put my thumb on it. I think the sandwiches are subway are better. :-p The only good thing about this place is they deliver. The staff was friendly, I’m just not a big fan of their sandwiches.

I’m pretty sure everytime I come here they make the wrong bloody sandwich and call it a number 2. If I wanted poop instead of roast beef I would go to a truck stop toilet. Today I got a turkey with bacon, last week I got a «deluxe ham» or whatever the heck you would call that. A number 2 on the menu is a roast beef. You don’t even need to know how to read to tell the difference between BEEF and HAM, they’re different bloomin colors. What if I was a kosher jew, I could have eaten it and died according to my religion? What the flying heck?

Great place for a Jimmy John’s. This Jimmy John’s is close to downtown. Great sandwiches.

Very quick sandwiches, especially when ordered online! The staff is always friendly and tries their best to get your order in-and-out in a very timely manner, but something about their sandwiches is lacking. Unfortunately, I do not know what it is or else I’d include it in this review. The location is alright. It’s on Yale across from the new Walmart, but trying to find a parking spot during the lunch rush is nearly impossible and the spots are so tight! My suggestion for those craving Jimmy John’s and choosing this location, order online and pick up your order during the«down times» of the lunch hour.

This location delivers the same great sandwiches you expect from Jimmy John’s with consistency. If you haven’t had Jimmy John’s before, it’s worth a try — fresh, tasty options at a good price. So far, this location isn’t quite so fast that I freak, which is one of the big draws for Jimmy John’s in my opinion, and in their’s as their tagline would suggest. The staff seems really nice and given that I couldn’t make a sandwich that fast I’ll be happy to give them a couple of months to freak me out.

There’s nothing wrong with Jimmy John’s, but nothing particularly great either. You place your order with the cashier and a sandwich comes out at the other end of the counter — there’s no interaction with the sandwich maker to customize things, which I think is unfortunate. I had the Beach Club with turkey, provolone, and avocado spread. Cucumbers were a nice addition. At first I thought they had forgotten the avocado spread, but there it was, a wafer-thin smear of green between the turkey and the cheese. Couldn’t taste it at all. For one of the key ingredients in a sandwich, unacceptable. Bread is so important at these places, and JJ’s french roll was ok but nothing special. I will say their house brand potato chips are very good.
