I don’t really understand why this restaurant doesn’t get more positive reviews. I went here a few weeks ago and enjoyed my dry chicken noodles very much(Mi Ga Kho). You can choose between their two sizes: regular($ 6.95) or large($ 8.45). My bowl had golden egg noodles with roasted slices of dark & white chicken meat. The chicken was moist but it was saltier compared to other restaurants that I’ve been to. It came with a small bowl of broth which surprisingly hit the spot. The two other people that I came here with ordered the Mi Thap Cam(soup version, comes with pork and seafood). My boyfriend ordered the Com Tam Thit Nuong Dac Biet(steamed crushed rice with grilled pork, egg cake, shredded pork, and a sunny side up egg) which costed $ 8.95. The meat was non-fatty and has an explosion of authentic Vietnamese flavors. The menu also consisted of vermicelli entrees, hot pots, small appetizers, and white rice noodles(dry/soup). I adamantly declared that this restaurant has the best dry and soup noodles dishes around this area!

It’s decent for a quick fix. It won’t be able to compete with southwest area like bellaire and other places. It’s just good enough for this area to get something to satisfy a quick craving. I do frequent this place since it’s so close to home. I wouldn’t recommend it to veteran Vietnamese food eaters though.

I was debating on going with the rice dish, because rice dishes never fails me, but I said why not try the hu tieu mi since you know, that’s the name of the place. Boy was I disappointed. When the bowl came out I didn’t even see noodles. Just a bowl of broth. It was literally 25% noodles and 75% broth. And that 75% was awful. It was so bland. The only way to make it have any flavor was for me to drown it in fish sauce and sriracha. And they’re very stingy with the meat portion in it. Barely had anything. If I do ever return to this place I will definitely not be getting the hu tieu mi, even though that’s what the supposedly specialize in.

The service was quick. That’s the only good thing I could say for this place. The phở ap chao was greesy, bland, and flavorless. Here’s the worse part: THEIRWAS A STRANDOFHAIR. It was disgusting. Hu tieu mi was drowned in broth. ¼ of the bowl was noodles and ¾ of it was the broth. The prices here are expensive for the lack in quality of their food. Don’t waste your time and money in here.

I like this place. Something different nearby. Com suon(rice plate with pork chops) was very good. Hu tieu came out with plenty of fixings. I would definitely return.

Flavorless/bland. The hu tieu ap chao bo had unseasoned fatty pieces of beef. The noodles were drenched in bland sauce. My friend had the seafood version of my dish and there were stray pieces of beef in his(probably used the same wok) which takes away from any flavor if there was any. My brother had mi vit which the duck was okay but the noodles and broth left much to be desired. Finally, my mom had the bún thit nuong cha gio and she said it was good but it’s difficult to mess up that traditional dish. The food service courteous and quick but our waitress who took our order was slow and got confused for 4 orders. Stay away!
