The food is excellent love the illy cheese steak and the sole sandwich are yummy yummy! The true blood was liked by my son but I don’t think I was ready for the chlorophyll. The only down was the music was to loud for such a small place and not quite in museum district. Would go again to try more definately. Recommend to all who love fresh food!

This place makes me wish I lived in Houston! Everything tastes super fresh!!! So far I have been coming back every other day on my vacation. Definitely a must try! Honestly this place is the best vegan restaurant I have been to since becoming vegan 2 yrs ago. The Cali burger and full minty smoothie are to die for!

YALL! When I say exploring Houston alone in these last few days has been AMAZING. Let me tell you. I stumbled across this gem in between classes, hungry as hell, and refusing to eat Burger King, Wing Stop, or McDonalds. I drove 7 minutes from campus and found @greenseedvegan on wheeler and almeda. I had the«Cali» and«Beetle Juice». And when I say this ALL vegan meal was delicious… I can’t describe. Stop what you’re doing and go… Now lol. #goodfood #vegan #vegansoul #bliss #Htown

The illy cheesesteak my husband ordered was really good(I had to sneak a bite). I got the rockin tacos, very good too. The cauliflower nuggets are good, but a Lil on the oily side for me. My husband couldn’t get enough! Everything was really good. Definitely coming back!

Vegan and great. Just a bit pricey, but worth it. I still need to try out those Cauliflower Nuggets. Even the bread is amazing. The big tex is probably the most filling thing here, so that’s what I’ve had and it’s super.

Got the big tex burger, absolutely delicious. I ordered on the phone and when i got there my order was ready. I would give this place 5 stars, Butttttt they have only few parking spots, so that will bring it down to 4 stars.

Get the cauliflower bites!!! They were my favorite! Loved this place. SUPER affordable. The vegan paninis and burgers and $ 7. Sides aren’t included but still a good deal. Place is a good size and staff was so friendly.

I absolutely love green seed vegan. I’ve been here a few times now and my only complaint is the super limited parking. I’ve driven away once cause parking was just impossible. Other than that, the food! So delicious! I always get the cauliflower nuggets and sweet potato dill fries as my side. Love the lil red bbq or something like that, but it has got to have double the serving that they currently give you cause right now it’s so delicious, but you definitely feel like you’re eating more bread. So if you’re getting it, until they change it, ask for double the jackfruit and you’ll be set. Also have had the burger with the cauliflower, currently my absolute favorite! Basically, this place is really tasty and it’s evident by how busy it always is!

I never thought I would see the day where I would actually be writing about how much I’ve loved exploring the vegan diet, let alone, writing high remarks about an amazing spot tucked away in Third Ward. Before making the decision to finally approach Green Seed, I had assumed it was an expensive bodega charging outrageous amounts for frozen vegetable medleys laced with balsamic vinaigrette and the unforgiving bland microwaved soybean patty. At least, that’s the type of «vegan food» I was used to. I was deeply mistaken. Green Seed was absolutely mouth watering. No, seriously. I brought my friends who are carnivores(and proud) here and even they were astounded. The bread is perfectly toasted, the protein replacements are deliciously seasoned and the best part is, you don’t leave Green Seed feeling like your pants are about to pop off. It’s an alternative way to eating a burger and feeling guilt free. I highly suggest you try them today. I’m looking forward to their freshly squeezed juices the next time I return.

3.5 Stars This place was pretty good. Had a salad, a brownie, the hemp seed burger, and cauliflower nuggets. Salad was delish. Brownie delish. Nuggets with accompanying sauce delish. Hemp burger left a lot to be desired — it’s TINY, basically no sauce, they forgot two of the four burger ingredients(onion and tomato). The patty itself was flavorful but about the size of a tiny granola bar. I asked for more sauce and my tomato and onion but I only got the veggies, she said the burger was supposed to be that way, uh ok I guess. Not a very satisfying meal. Would consider going back. Parking in front on Almeda is tight. Definitely get the brownie. Cute little interior.

It’s a cozy and casual place. The menu is unique and the cashier was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the rockin tacos and the Berries blast smoothie to-go. The tacos tasted fresh, but were quite small. I loved the sauces, but it was a lil too citrusy for me at some bites. Nonetheless, I’ve never had anything like it, so I was impressed. The smoothie was nice and thick. Not too tart or sweet. It was perfect! I will definitely be back soon.

For some reason I thought I had written a review for this place, but since I haven’t here goes. I’ve never had a problem with this place. I used to visit frequently when attending UH, but not so much seeing how I live in Katy. Anyways, this past weekend I was craving some doshi’s café. I got there at about 7:35PM& was informed I could only order drinks because they close at 8. So, dang out of luck. I was thinking what was near by? Green seed came to mind, so I headed that way. I got there at about 7:45, they close at 8 too. Wasn’t sure if I would make it in time. I was very pleased when they gave me the good new, I made it just in time! I opted for the big tex burger with dill sweet potato fries & cauliflower nuggets. The buckwheat patty is delicious & veggies tasty fresh. Fries where really good too, not super oily, nuggets on the other hand was a tad oily but nothing over powering. I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t exquisite at this place. Last visit had the lil red bbq, which consisted of jackfruit carnitas, smoothies are dope too! Never had any issues with service; staff is friendly, facility is a bit small & parking can be a hassle but these little annoyances will not stop me from coming back.

Green Seed Vegan is a surprising gem that just goes to show you should judge a restaurant by its storefront. With wifi, great smoothies, and healthy meals, GSV is more than salads and raw vegetables. It’s really a cool place to sit down and hang out with friends. While it does attract a strong costumer base, GSV was great for me to have a 1 on 1 meeting for work. While I wish the smoothies were a tad cheaper, to be honest, they aren’t really that much more expensive than your usual smoothie places. I’m definitely intrigued and want to come back for more.

Great place for raw vegan food! I had some vegan tacos and some rolls. Very good stuff. Kind of over priced but I def liked the food. Parking lot is tiny. Staff is friendly. They have these cool eco friendly paper forks. Would def go back. Small seating area as well. If you haven’t given them a try stop in. Pretty healthy stuff. The tacos I had were spinach with this really good red sauce. Quite filing as well for greens.

Fact: You don’t need to go to vegan specialty restaurant to get tasty juicy vegan burger in Houston. I went to this small restaurant around 6 pm for dinner, the restaurant looked very dark from outside and you would easily think they weren’t open. The resultant was small, sketchy, and their wall was painted with off-green color that reminded me of alien’s blood. I assume they are hard core environment lovers so they didn’t even had AC on, instead, they had about 7 — 8 fans continually blowing air to our face and making loud noises while we seated in the tiny dining table and pondering our poor life choice. I tried their Big-Tex burger and famous cauliflower bite. The Big Tex burger came with tons of arugula lettuce and a thin patty, it tasted extremely plain and sloppy. The french fries came with the burger reminded me the time when I first tried to cook frozen french fries and failed. Cauliflower bite was delicious, rich and flavorful. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to vegans and vegetarians who are not picky about the taste of their food and haven’t been to much vegan restaurant before.

Not very familiar with vegan food, but seems like vegans really love and/or appreciate this place. Glad they’re doing well. I asked for suggestions for a non-vegan and was recommended: Sweet porta Latini Big tex 9 We tried the: Sweet porta — a nice intro dish for non-vegan people. Big tex 9 — really rich in SPICES. I could get over the texture of the buckwheat patty, but a little too flavorful? for us. The sides were yummy… normal: sweet potato fries, cauliflower(not included with a sandwich or burger order). Portions were kind of small.

Who: bf & I Where/when: anytime we don’t want to cook What: Illy cheesesteak, cauliflower bites, Big Tex burger, full minty smoothie Why: VEGANS, there is hope! We are so lucky to have this place in Houston. Try anything on the menu(see tip below), but I definitely recommend the cauliflower bites. They come with an awesome spicy aioli that is tasty and not really spicy. Love what they are doing for the vegans and Houston community. TIP: I wouldn’t order anything made with Daiya cheese unless you’ve tried it before and liked it. I can’t stand the stuff, so I never order anything with it on the menu.

All vegan café near the Museum District that has very delicious and yet healthy food options. While I’m not a huge fan of their panini, some of their burgers and raw entrees are great! The Lil Red BBQ sanwich is a BBQ jackfruit sandwich — and it’s awesome! Jackfruit is a Southeast Asian fruit that, when unripe, shreds like pulled pork. I’ve made it at home(you can get unripe jackfruit in cans at Asian markets or Fiesta Mart in the Med Center), but Green Seed Vegan’s is delicious! The burgers are good, too, but I’m not very fond of Daiya cheese(or how greasy it makes everything), so I always take that off! The CALI is AWESOME. It’s a «chicken fried» cauliflower steak sandwich — maybe my favorite thing on the menu! BUT they also offer Cauli nuggets as a side, so if you’re looking to try a couple of different things, I’d suggest getting a raw entrée or a burger or the Lil Red BBQ sandwich with a side of the Cauli nuggets. They’re just as good as the Cali sandwich!(And I feel better about eating the Cauli nuggets if I get something healthier as the main entrée!) On the raw side of the menu I absolutely recommend the ROCKINTACOS. They’re filled with a walnut sunflower«chorizo,» arugula, pico de gallo, and cashew cream. And they’re light and DELICIOUS(and I’m not a person that gravitates towards raw food items most of the time)! Then, of course, they have juices, smoothies, elixirs, and shots. My personal favorite is the Pina Verde(pineapple, wheatgrass, apple, and mint)! The café is cute and the staff is pretty great. Pretty small place, but they have may six tables inside and a bar, and maybe two or three tables outside on the patio(that’s more like a sidewalk). The only major drawback to Green Seed Vegan? They are SLOW. Even when it’s not busy you will be waiting on your food for a while. When it’s busy(and it does get VERY busy), you wait A LONG time for your food. Sometimes it even takes a while to order! Heads up: you can text them your order. If it weren’t for the slow kitchen, I’d give it five stars.
