My friend and I enjoyed our meal here. We started with the chips and salsa which was good and then had the Queso Fundido con Chroizo as an appetizer and it was the best I have had. It was very filling and I could have eaten that as my meal.
I ordered the Enchiladas Tex-​Mex and wasn’t too pleased. The texture of the chicken was tough to me. My friend ordered the chilaquiles al gusto and it was very good. I guess mine selection wasn’t the best. We saved room for dessert and it was worth it. We each had tres leches cake and loved it!
Minus my food selection everything was great. The food, the service, the friendliness, and everything else was awesome.

Best authentic mexican food, from their moyetes and beans to their molcajetes, deff the best little mexican restaurant ive ever been to

This is one of that places that you can’t find in all Houston, may be it is small and not so fancy but the quality of the food and the deep vision that the owners try to offer is really appreciate for all us that know what mean Mexican food. In this place you will experiences the flavors of the real center Mexico food. Congratulations for this my favorite place in all Houston for eat.

Excellent. Food and ambience is very much like it was on the Yucatan this spring. The flan and the coffee are both exceptional.

This is one of the few Real Authentic Mexican places I’ve been. I had the Enchilada trio and it was real good. Owner mentioned that The mole is made in Mexico which made it more authentic. Definitely coming back and bringing the whole family.

As a Mexican, proud of it and love my culture but most of all the food people! Lol…
I would like to just say that when I taste authentic cuisine I celebrate and dance… why? It is so hard to find authentic food and I applaud this little cute spot for being as authentic as my grandmother’s home cooked meals.
Where do I start? … First of all… let’s start with the home made corn tortillas! I recently travelled to Mexico and these tortillas are as authentic as they make them in my little Mexico.
For you all out there that only munch on those awesome flour tortillas please do yourself a favor and try the corn. You will be surprised. I visited this little spot with a few of my coworkers and we all enjoyed our experience so much. The food was amazing, the service was great and the hospitality was welcoming.
Thank you to the owner for taking the time to visit our table and welcome us. It makes a world of a difference when you treat your customers with appreciation. Don’t let the appearance of the outside fool you it is full of culture and your taste buds will not regret one bite.
As of today and my year of Unilocaling I have not found a Mexican restaurant that is authentic as this is… well there may be another but this one is definitely on the top of my list :)

Best Mexican food in Houston! I haven’t had food like this in a restaurant in a long time. It’s a very small place but the food is amazing. The quesadillas de pollo and sopes are soooo good that I almost fell into a food coma. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food!

This IS authentic Mexican food. My favorite is the Sopa Azteca. Every dish I have ever tried, has been a tasteful delight of spices and passion. This is Indegenous Mexican food worth trying and returning to.

Best traditional Mexican food.
We have been coming about 4 years ago, they have breakfast buffet, with delicious dishes and Bolillo, tortillas, chips. Today they surprise us with a green POZOLE which is great!

Went here with my wife after reading reviews on Unilocal.We both liked the food and service. I had Fajitas, and enjoyed them. Wish it was closer to home so we could go back.

Food was very good and authentic Mexican food. It’s hard to find authentic Mexican food instead of texmex.
The ingredients were fresh and servers wets helpful and quick.
I would tell you what I had, but I can’t remember how to spell it. But it was a suggestion from the waitress, and was delicious!
We also got a free Tres Leche for checking in on Unilocal!Woohoo!

It’s sad, really. There are places around town that get all the press but can’t even compare to the authenticity of this place and its food. Perhaps because it’s outside the 610 loop or maybe it’s just all politics but this restaurant easily gives the cities top Mexican joints a run for their money without taking so much of yours.
From the «Desayuno Mexicano» for breakfast with a hot cup of «Café de Olla» to «Enchiladas de Mole» with cold Aguas Frescas, they deliver unmatched flavor. Not to mention the Mole is quite possibly the best I’ve had in Houston and that’s after sampling dozens around town.
Do yourself a favor and go meet David, the owner. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever know who is genuinely concerned with you and your visit. May this place prosper and be around for years and years to come.

Not bad. Co-​workers and I have been here at least twice. Their chicken flautas are exceptional. Their tortilla soup, however, is no Bueno. Overall satisfaction depends on what you order.

Good service. Friendly staff. Chips are delicious, but not the salsa. Rice is flavorful. I had the green enchiladas and they were okay. They could have added more chicken to them. As for the enchilada sauce, not as spicy as I was expecting them to be. We received a free tres leches cake for checking in through Unilocal and it was too sweet and a little on the dry side. Ehhh, you get what you pay for. Don’t think I will be returning due to the food being so mediocre.

What a great breakfast buffet and they will make up some items fresh to order included. Very mexican though it isn’t americanized– we will go back.

The weekend brunch buffet here is absolutely amazing– packed with everything you could want and need with made to order eggs.
That being said, my favorite part of it was the café de olla (coffee from a pot) which is impressive because I don’t drink coffee but this coffee was so good that I had to come back in the week for the coffee.
If you haven’t been here, this little place will be a great surprise and keep you coming back for all the amazing food and the coffee!

Excellent customer service by David over the phone when I called in a panic needing food for 15 people asap. I’d never tried their food but was relying on my fellow Unilocalers.
He was extremely helpful, professional and reassured me that he’s take care of everything.
The guacamole was amazing. My family thought it was the best they’d had. The salsas were incredible. The green one was so spicy but it made my mouth very happy.
The fajitas were so tender and flavorful and came with sauteed onions and peppers. We tried both beef and chicken. The tortillas were fresh and definitely homemade.
Everything was of the highest quality without paying 5-​star prices. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their food the the next time I am in Houston. We are definitely fans!
