Once upon a time, real good menudo was hard to come by in Chinatown. I had to search and search. Finally, my palate landed at Taqueria Tuzantla. Years ago, I always greeted by a friendly hostess/waitress in Spanish. I immediately responded and ordered my food in Spanish. I thought this was a pretty good place to have real Mexican cuisine that was so close to my house. Recent years, I stopped patronize this place because the staff changes. There are always young people at the counter didn’t want to talk to me, even in Spanish. Ordering process became longer, because they have to find someone who speaks English. I literally have to prove that I could read Spanish by translating their restaurant hours to English. Come on, how many people are not bilingual these days.
