Service was awful, they all seem as if they hate their jobs. Food was mediocre. My potato was dry as a bone so I asked for more butter and they actually tried to charge me! Really? Maybe their business has declined due to low Unilocal ratings so they’re desperate for every penny. I can guarantee they will NEVER get another penny from me

If you have never tried Dickeys before please try the pulled pork. It is delicious and tender as can be. I think I have tried the sausage before, but the pulled pork is the best. They slow smoke the meats on site. They have specials almost every day of the week. Also you can get in their email list and get specials texted to you. The décor is very rustic. For football fans they have the TV tuned to the football game right now. Hope you enjoy! PS they have free soft serve ice cream for dine in customers.

This place is great. Only down side is, it’s very expensive. We got 1lb of chicken, brisket, and ½lb of sausage with 3 sides. Came out to $ 60+. Rudy’s BBQ would have been ½ that price. I know that cause that is what we get there. You also have to pay for your bread. You don’t pay for it at Rudys. I would come back here for something different, but as far as food goes. It’s amazing.

I arrived at their front door at 10 minutes until 9:00pm and their front door was locked despite the fact that they close at 9pm. There were several employees that just looked at me through the glass windows when I knocked on the door. They didn’t do anything but stare at me. They’ve lost my business forever.

A little on the slow side, but great tasting food and sauce. I’m from Kansas so I love pulled pork. This is the only place I have found pulled pork that tastes remotely as good as it does up there. This is my go to spot for my pork fix from now on!

Gave this place a 2nd chance. Ordered a brisket sandwich and they overloaded it with tons of brisket. I was still disappointed that they had it all precut. This place actually prepares your sandwich for you with what you want on it instead of having a self serve bar where you just get a little pile of fixins and DIY. I also ordered a baked potato fully loaded which was pretty awesome. I still just cant get over the feel that this place is overpriced. I paid about $ 19 for 1 brisket sandwich, 1 baked potato, and 1 drink.

The food was edible. Very bland. My husband ordered a meat plate and the the brisket or whatever it was tasted like it was roasted in the oven. I paid 7.75 for a giant stuffed baker with meat… there was no meat. Spoonful. That’s it. Will never go there again and I will tell my friends about it. Very high priced for oven cooked barbeque.

The food is 4 stars. The service is closer to 2 or 2.5 stars. They are horribly slow for a bbq place where everything is already cooked and all you have to do is slice the meat(and scoop the sides) — this includes checking out too. I see them doing stuff but I just can’t understand how it could take some much time to do it. But the food is good enough that I’ll tolerate the less-than stellar service once a while. I like that they have a regular bbq sauce and a spicy one. And nice to have free soft-serve ice cream.

The food wasn’t bad. Kinda what you’d expect. What bothered me what the total lack of customer service. I totally get that high-schoolers need jobs, too, I just feel like polite isn’t something too hard to learn. Try the fried okra.

The food is good but the service was not very friendly. Although there is a sign that states«order here» it would be nice if someone would speak to me even though I am looking at the menu. Even when I’m ready to order I had to get someone’s attention then I was just told to wait. I understand the concept of speaking directly to the angry man with a knife in his hand to place your order but there needs to be more to the system. I like that kids eat free on Sundays and I would like to go back but I’ll probably give it some time for the current employees to be replaced and for some serious customer service training to take place. Too many restaurants in Houston to put up with this.

Normally I have a good experience with Dickey’s. On my last visit I ordered a three meat plate. They gave me less than half the amount I normally receive and that was horrible quality. The bill came to almost $ 14.00 and that was without a drink. I do not plan on returning and will give my business to Valley Ranch Barbecue instead.

Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago, it was kinda slow but there weren’t many people in line. When it came up to be my turn for picking sides I asked the server her opinion on the potato salad and in return I got a rude short answer that didn’t even answer my question! But overall the food is good, I like the spicy BBQ sauce but I always forget the free ice cream! Maybe next time!

I came here on the first night it opened and I was in a mood I wouldn’t take out on elders or any other people because I have a story for you. The line was long, of course it was opening night and they had a deal on food. The people at the register were taking longer than expected because believe it or not, none of them hardly knew how to use the register. I was really confused because I would’ve thought that someone had shown them how to use it in the past. I finally got to order and they sure did take a while putting the order in the register. They would turn to other employees and ask«How do I put this in?» or «What do I press to confirm the order?» That should’ve been an omen because I knew these people didn’t know what the heck to do at a darn register. Then when it got to the food, I was impressed with the way it was cooked. However, my mother ordered something and it had to be sent back twice because it wasn’t the way she had ordered it and she was disappointed with the meal. TWICE!!! I was wondering why don’t these people know what to do, but I can see that they might’ve been working for the first time. Needless to say, I was angry at the service, but the food was slightly better. I believe the hospitality can improve because it sure was atrocious. Nevertheless, the food was a good, decent meal for dinner, but the waitress gave us coupons for our next visit because this one was unsatisfactory. I sure hope this was at a bad time because I was extremely disappointed with the service, but the reason it gets two stars is that the bar-b-que was tasty.

Staff was overwhelmed with customers. Several walking out because of slow service. Just one more person could have helped out. The food was good as always. Probably headed to Tomball Dicky’s next time.
