Quick BBQ fix on my high carb(leg) day. Nothing too special. But if you’re in the area and Rudy’s is too far, come in and try the turkey or chicken.

Horrible service, horrible food. The people that work there and take your order do not listen to anything you say. Worst ribs in town, and dry brisket. You get a lot of foil in your baked potato.

The food is excellent. This is a hidden gem. It’s a relaxed environment. The manager is very nice and greets most of the guest. He visits your table to see if you have any concerns. The baked potato with chopped beef is my favorite. I live in the Woodlands and bypass at least 10BBQ places to get to Valley Ranch. Fun place to take the entire family.

This place was not good! 1st of all their was a big fly problem by the food. When picking up our order at the counter, I counted 50 flies just sitting on the counter. It was disgusting! I still tried the food and it everything was dry. The brisket and ribs were the worst. The sausage was ok. The best thing I ate was the green beans. I won’t be going back.

Good food /Bad Pricing!!! ¾ lbs of ribs is $ 10.50 1lbs of ribs $ 14.50 (25% more ribs for 40% more $$$) So if you don’t like getting taken advantage of, go somewhere besides Valley Ranch. There’s plenty of barbecue places around the area and their prices are better and proportional. PS I mentioned this to the manager and he said he didn’t do pricing and he wasn’t about to tell them how to. I guess he told me!

The beef plate loose cut with green been and potato salad is the best BBQ I’ve eaten in my life.

Both the food and the ambience is good here. The consistent problem here is the service. I haven’t been in 3 months but, every time I do come to eat here, I experience a problem that reflects directly on management. Tonight, three were dining at my table but the food came out in four stages each about five minutes apart. Crazy thought — I actually wanted to eat my dinner all at one time WITH the people I came with. I talked to the manager tonight and I have spoken with managers in the past here. It doesn’t seem to matter– our food always comes out in slow stages.

The food is very good… tried turkey, ribs and chicken and enjoyed all. I would say the bar b que sauce is waaaay to sweet for my tastes. That would be my only complaint. I thought it was very odd that they don’t serve beer, contrary to the pictures posted on their Unilocal site, no beer here!

Excellent brisket and fast service. Wish they had more of a lunch menu but I’m just being picky. Went here on a recommendation while traveling with work and was not disappointed.

I wanted to write about my experience at Valley Ranch. My dear mother had her 90th birthday celebration there last Saturday evening. Everybody was fantastic. The food was delicious and the customer service for 15 people over 65 excellent. I was nervous because all of our guests had to go through a tray line. To this staff, it seemed like nothing and handled with ease. They had set up a table in the private room as it was not being rented out at that time. I was thrilled as my mom is extremely hard of hearing. I can’t brag on the staff enough! They were warm, considerate and personable. Special thanks to Joel, the manager, for making sure that everybody had a fantastic time. They all went home full and happy. Thank you everyone at Valley Ranch for helping to make my mom’s 90th birthday so memorable!!!

First time trying this place. Service was good. Brisket and ribs was dry. The only thing I enjoyed were the green beans. The only thing my husband liked was the mashed potatoes. I’m glad I told them to put the sauce on the side because it wasn’t to my liking. Can’t say I would come back.

Best bbq in TEXAS!!! I shit you not, it’s the only place I go for it. Ribs, chopped beef, and beans are great. Always friendly staff and very clean inside. Also has a drive they window. Self serve for drinks with big cups.

Nice, clean, family friendly place. Brisket was ok. Had the marbled brisket and it was dry. Couldn’t really taste the rub or smoke. Spare ribs were pretty tasty. Burger was good — toppings and condiments were basic and limited. Fries and onion rings were good. Coleslaw was quite good.

BEST barbecue in the world! In my opinion at least. I have been coming to Valley Ranch for about 20 years now and I have not once had a meal short of excellence. The décor is awesome and it has plenty of play area for children. The food is top of the line. My favorite is their brisket, always ordered extra lean. Let it soak into their carefully crafted barbecue sauce for a real southern experience. The management exceeds my expectations every time. They are very hands on. It’s rare that I walk in and a manager is not working behind the counter or walking around checking client satisfaction. That’s what I call southern hospitality.

My family loves Valley Ranch to death! Everything I’ve had is beyond delicious! My favorite side orders are the beans and dirty rice. The grilled chicken sandwich and onion rings are at the top of my list. They marinate the chicken breast for a long time, and it is made-to-order. The warm peach cobbler is mouth watering. Valley Ranch is a beautiful, clean resteraunt that welcomes you as soon as you walk in. Best service anywhere around. The managers always walk around to greet customers at the table. It’s no surprise they’ve been around for over 15 years. Also, I met the man of my dreams there 7 years ago. We are now married and love going back to the place that is so dear to our hearts.

The ribs were amazingly tasty but a little fatty. I didn’t mind. Brisket was good. Coleslaw was delicious. Beans were tasty… had a cumin flavor to it that I liked. Potato salad was a little mayo creamier but still good. Bbq sauce was on the cinnamon side, so I wish they offered two options for sauce. Love the condiment bar. Beer buckets great. I’m not a fan of ordering and self service and still paying so much money, but place is good.

Had a hankerin’ today for BBQ. We had such a pleasant experience with our takeout in September. The brisket was as I remembered it. Sauce was darn good. The beans were different, very cilantro-ey and muddy tasting, and they seemed like those canned«husband pleasin” ranch beans. The slaw was good, my husband didn’t like his smashed potatoes, and we both did not like the turkey which seemed very salty and, unfortunately, it was not breast. So, apologies to Dan T., it did seem like it was out of a can. My suggestion is, get the ribs and brisket. The interior is total Texana. There’s a waterfall with a stuffed bear, pheasant, and other animals on it. Yes, on the waterfall itself. There’s a miniature train that runs the entire circumference of the store, up near the ceiling. There is a big back room, good for banquets or large groups. We watched with fascination the preparation of the onion rings. Fresh onions are separated into rings, soaked in either milk or buttermilk, taken out and dredged in seasoned flour mixture and deep fried. They looked amazing. Our meals were not as they seemed in September, the flavor of the beans was very different and the turkey wasn’t what we expected. We felt disappointed, especially because our meal in Sept. was outstanding. We’ll probably go back but strictly for the beef.
