Christy’s Liquors

Christy’s is a great little liquor store that offers a nice variety of drinks. The lady behind the counter is always helpful and willing to offer good advice. The location is perfect for me to just quickly drop by before a party and I always find what I’m looking for. Prices are competitive and for a small liquor shop, the pricing and selection can’t be beat.
Highly recommended!

I live across the railroad tracks from Christy’s Liquors (only my friends know if that puts me on the good or bad side of the tracks). This is not a Spec’s, so simmer down with your expectations before you walk in the door.
OK, for the size of this establishment I am impressed with all that they offer. My friends (including my closest Unilocal friends) consider me a «wine snob.» I suspect this is true. However, I give Christie’s my seal of approval for not only their wine selection, but their better-​than-​competitive pricing. You can find a better selection at the bigger liquor stores, but the price of the comparable wines at either is likely a better buy at Christie’s (at least with the few that I have checked).
I am not as much a liquor drinker, but they have a more than ample supply of the staples you might need to pick up on your way to a party/​dinner/​first date/​morning commute/​etc.
As for the beer, I heart beer. This is not the place for anything out of the ordinary.
If you need something quick and you live/​work in the area, this is your place. They provide a great selection for their space, with attentive service and great prices.

A very nice and convenient liquor store in the Post Oaks /​Galleria Mall area of Houston. The manager was very helpful in helping me find the items that I was looking for in record time.

If you work around this area or if you are right in the River Oaks area, this place is very convenient. They have a great selection of all wines and always have great deals on their wine. The lady that works the counter is super nice and is always accommodating.
The store is going through a renovation on the outside (along with the rest of the strip center) but the construction work still makes the center accessible.
On with the alcohol… I went there one week and a $ 30 bottle of chard was on sale for $ 19! I could not get over it! The place is conveniently located and the wine is cold and delicious. It is always clean and organized. I am proud to recommend this place.
But beware. this is not a «Specs» and it is conveniently located next to River Oaks, so keep in mind that the prices are pricier than Spec’s…but it sure beats walking into a Spec’s and having a person bother you every 2 minutes and criticizing your choice of wine…
…also, its location can be bothersome during the rush hour bc the location is just west of the railroad track on San felipe…
