This place is definitely family owned. I thought the service was great. We didn’t eat off the buffet, but everything we ordered off the menu was excellent. It wasn’t the usual Americanized version of Indian food. Not the fanciest place but really good food. I’m all about supporting mom & pop places.

Yeah a 1star. First of all this is Texas and people have high expectations for the indian food served. Neither the food is authentic in taste nor was it fresh. This restaurant falls into the category where the owner is confused on whom to cater. people love authentic indian food. Even if its spicy there are audience for that food too(a wider audience in texas). The owner himself confessed to me that they sweeten the food to attract a wider audience. The naan is the worst I ever ate(I ached my mouth in the process of chewing it). None of the curries were tasty and top this with a $ 12 price tag. Been there for lunch on a saturday. I was the only person. The only reason for choosing this place is that its close to my place. Not going back even of I had to die of hunger. The only reason for the 1star is that the service was ok and the masala chai I ordered was decent enough(I mean you can’t mess with it that easily can you… its effing milk and tea bag). If you still dare to try this place, God bless you !

The place is not clean and extremely dated. The food has flavor but it seems very sketchy. I would suggest passing on this place.

My friend lives around Westchase. We had a craving for indian food and there weren’t too many choices nearby. We narrowed it down to this option and Masala Wok. Bad decision! For Saturday night at 730PM it was completely dead. There were 3 young girls running the front of the house. They were pretty sweet though. Take out menus were given to us to read. They have a Saturday dinner buffet which is $ 10.95. It had a decent selection of food. They had butter chicken on the buffet and that was what we were craving! I’ve had many versions of butter chicken before. It was different and not in a good way. The chicken obviously was reused. It had a grilled taste so I’m thinking they just reused the tandoori chicken. The curry itself had that strong«grilled» flavor and the consistency was extremely watery. Just awful. The heating was unevenly distributed on the buffet. Some dishes were luke warm and others were really hot. The best thing on the buffet was the aloo saag. It was hot, creamy, and had a nice level of heat. But definitely not worth coming back for. The complimentary naan was delicious. It was made fresh. But for our second order it was extremely burnt. Overall the buffet was disappointing. All the curries were watery with the except of the aloo saag. Most things did not look fresh or appealing. A big fail.

This is my second visit to the restaurant. It seems it is a family run restaurant, and they are very nice people. The chef cooks authentic Indian food, and all the meals we had were very delicious. I will go back again.

I ordered daal tadka, bhindi masala and chapati(roti) from this place. The food was terrible, one of the worst Indian food I have had. The roti was uncooked dough. The daal was ¾th water. Bhindi was full of green pepper and sour. Go to a subway than eating at this place.

Hello mom and pop shop! Just sit and enjoy the experience! We ordered the garlic naan, medium spicy chicken tiki masala, lamb curry and saag paneer. I love how spicy the masala came out. Just perfect. My plate was licked completely gone!

This is my favorite Indian food restaurant in Houston. Delicious garlic naan, sag paneer, appetizers… Also, they’re open late on sunday evenings. I’m so glad we have such great authentic Indian food so close to home

After the first review of this place along with a free $ 10 Groupon, I decided to give it a shot. The food and service were alright. However, I didn’t get any«free mango smoothie» for my dinner!!! I probably wouldn’t go there again as there was nothing special with this place. :(

Kind of hidden in the corner, but we had a coupon to this place and decided to check it out. Delicious food and the best service. They even offered us free mango smoothies. Will definitely go back.
