I have had an absolutely horrible experience with United Van Lines so far. Let me list the reasons:
1. My initial consultation: despite the fact that it was scheduled weeks in advance and I had received confirmation for the date and time, my appointment was forgotten about. I was willing to let it go as a system failure, but then problems kept occurring.
2. Response time: after reviewing the paperwork and attempting to schedule my move, it took multiple days to even respond to my email.
3. Setting up a pick-​up date: despite multiple calls and emails from me, it took almost a week to set up a moving date, which should have been possible via a simple online form.
4. Delivery time: I was told from the beginning of my associations with United Van Lines that I would be able to have delivery on an evening or weekend due to my work schedule. This is the reason I went with this company and is apparently false.
5. Further delivery issues: I was told my delivery would be today, June 3 and I would be called at 3 pm the previous day to set up my delivery time. Despite multiple calls and emails, this time was never set-​up and I was called at 9 am the following day, saying they were currently at my apartment. I, of course, was at work, because I was given no notice of the time whatsoever and was under the assumption I would be able to have my move occur after work time.
5. New date 2 weeks later: Now, I have been told my new move date will not be for another 2 weeks. I currently have no furniture in my apartment, including a bed, so this is a ridiculous timeline.
I would never use this company again or recommend it for anyone.

I don’t know about the previous review that don’t satisfied with their service. But mine was excellent.
We just moving from Jakarta, Indonesia to Houston, Texas. When they said our container is ready to delivered I was excited! It’s been 3 months waiting for the journey, custom etc. That was 40 foot container!
They sent us an email that they will delivered then unpacked next days, it’s mean their schedule was two days.
They arrived on time as the schedule (it say will arrived between 8−10am, they arrived about 8.15am! The container was unloaded by only 3 guys! Lots heavy furniture from teak wood also two heavy king size bed.
Surprisingly they don’t only delivered that day but also unpacked them the same day!
They wrap the door, wooden banister on the stairs with kind of blanket even they tighten up the leaf from the palm tree in front of the door way so doesn’t get damage during loading. Also covering the tile floor with carpet and carpet floor with the plastic protection so doesn’t get dirty.
They are very diligent, and it was very quick (was taking 3 days working hours for packing in Indonesia) they unpacking them only 6 hours!!!
Once they are finished, they picking up all the rubbish even asking if they making any damage in the house or something broken in the delivery.
Nothing major damage, only one broken frame and that wasn’t their fault, must be during the journey (oh hello. we came from different continent!!)
Everything was safe from the long journey, all the ceramics, kitchen appliances, crystal, dinnerware, glasses etc (a house needs) all SAFE! Thanks God!
I can’t thank enough for them, they are very good team, Mr. Orlando Arroyo and the other two guys I forgot their name but I remember their face! The agent code is 0103. They are brilliant, I believe the other team also as good as them. Thank you so much!
I just can’t believe all my stuff came all the way from Indonesia arrived safely in America. It’s complicated feeling, between happy and sad.
But mostly happy and we are starting to make this place as a home.

Contracted with them for a local move. Expensive ($ 1,900) for a one bedroom apartment; 6 hours late picking up, messed up walls at pick-​up location and refused to compensate for the damage done. They get one star from me (I’d give zero if I could), absolutely pitiful … do not use these clowns
