ABE is just an upscale IHOP. The menu doesn’t do it for me. Too many yuppie-health oriented items. I’ll take Victor’s any day. I loathe driving any more than necessary and Victor’s is less than 2 miles away whereas ABE in Vintage Park is almost 7 miles. Do the math!

The wait at this restaurant is beyond obnoxious and they don’t really have anywhere for you to wait for tables you end up just awkwardly shuffling around outside for sometimes more than an hour. That being said, the food is pretty good but it’s not cheap and I’m not sure it’s worth the wait. I really like the potatoes and the English muffins and the wait staff is nice. It’s just nothing that special for all the hype.

There isn’t much I can say, except my family and I absolutely loved this restaurant. I had the thick sliced Hawaiian french toast, mum had the original eggs benedict. Those potatoes, oh those potatoes. I’ll be dreaming of them, savoring that chewy cinnamon toast. Basically, we’ll definitely be back!

My favorite breakfast place! Great staff and even better food! The French toast is great and so is everything else I’ve tried! If you’re going on a weekend expect there to be at least a 30 min wait because the place is small but it’s worth the wait!

Everything about this place was great. Service to food could not complain about anything. Servers actually took drink orders while we waited for a table which was convenient. A restaurant this good is always going to have a wait but it is worth it. Found out after we had our meal that you can actually put your name in through your phone. Definitely have to try that next time to beat the wait time.

This place was recommended by a friend, and being that we don’t have good breakfast spots like those on the south side of Houston, it was a pleasant surprise. The food was tasty, great service from Angie and priced reasonably. Of the four of us, three will definitely return!

This place is amazing I actually discovered this place in Florida on vacation. I fell in love and I came back to Houston thinking about the great food we had that day. Then I finally found it at vintage I was so happy. this place is so good and not that pricey considering everything you get. Only down side is its always busy and they close early.

First time here. Usually wait til 2nd time before I review but this, I think, deserves immediate attention. Pleasant and friendly greet at the door with seating options of, breakfast bar, table, or booth. Opted for a table in the middle of the dining area. Nice looking menu,(see picture), and very versatile options. I did notice that almost everything on the menu was made with onions. Upon request the onions can be omitted per your choice. I love onions, but they don’t love me back. My breakfast selection was called«The Yolk», traditional style with eggs cooked to your specifications, ranch potatoes, and an english muffin. I opted for steak as my meat choice and substituted my potatoes for an extra egg, and had coffee to drink. The service was very good, food was very good,(steak on a stick) was tender, scrambled eggs cooked just right and English muffin was, well, an English muffin. My only complaint was the coffee. Not so good. I think it had either been sitting a while or was not a good roast, or both. I like coffee to help my meal along not slap me in the face with an over powering acid, bitter, taste, so I asked for ice water to chase my meal. Other than that, it was a good breakfast at $ 16.96, and the service was fine. I will be back.

Went on a Sunday at 11am and had to wait 30 minutes for a party of 2. No big deal since the restaurant had a cornhole game set up and we just played cornhole for the time we waited. (Side note: if you actually play cornhole competitively according to official rules, it’s a lot of fun and a great way to pass the time!) We ended up ordering the biscuit beignets and the the Benedict Oscar. Having worked at a restaurant before, I had a strong suspicion how easy it was to make the biscuit beignets. It’s simply those biscuits you get from a pop open can, cut into quarters, deep fried, and then topped with powdered sugar. It’s served with a side of orange-honey marmalade, and tasted deliciously sweet and caloric. (If you sign up for their emails, you can get a coupon for a free order of biscuit beignets with a $ 10 purchase.) The Benedict Oscar was tasty, but I wished I had a bigger portion for $ 16. If you generally don’t get full from a 6 inch sandwich at Subway, I suggest ordering something else so you’ll be satiated. At least it’s the case for me… but I’m also a 6’2″ male. I’m probably just destined to be poor since I have to spend more money on food :(

This is where I’m coming for a premium breakfast. The prices are high($ 13 for eggs benedict?!) but the food is so good I wouldn’t mind coming here every once in a while. My Black Bean Benedict($ 10) was near flawless. Perfectly poached eggs with just the right runnyness of yolk. Delicate and flavorful black bean patties underneath. And then toasted English muffins as crisp as you could’ve hoped for at the base. All that with a creamy, delicious chipotle hollandaise drizzled on top. I don’t know who first thought of mixing chipotles with hollandaise but it’s a great idea. Not too spicy but just the right amount of kick to wake you up in the morning. They shouldn’t really call it «topped with cilantro» though when it’s just a single leaf of cilantro garnished on top. The potatoes that came with this were also on point. Crispy and lightly salted, kinda plain but you’re gonna smother them in that chipotle hollandaise anyway so it doesn’t matter. Overall an amazing eggs benedict. Definitely better than the ones I’ve had from other places nearby like Black Walnut Café.

Another Broken Egg in Vintage Park is just like everything else in Vintage part. It’s nice but expensive and trendy. I used to eat here 2 – 3 times a week for a good 6 months before I decided I wasn’t going to pay 15 bucks after tip for breakfast every day. Don’t get me wrong The place is nice, the food is great, and I like the people there. It’s just a bit too much for the first meal of the day. That being said if you plan on going on a Saturday or Sunday morning you better get there ahead of time. It fills up fast and there will be an hour long wait if you get there from 9AM-12PM on a weekend. Unfortunately they don’t take call ahead seating which I think is a real shame. They should to allow their regulars to not have to wait so long. If you are on your way, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to call and just get your name on the waiting list. Anyway, It’s a nice place and I do indulge once a month or so still. P. S. It is kind of a bummer for people who work early that they don’t open until 7am as well.

Im writing this on my wife’s account. I’m only giving this place one star because I can’t give it zero stars. Why the zero stars? Because we didn’t get to eat. We got there and put our name on the list and they told us it was going to be a 40 minute wait. So we waited, and kept seeing people leave the restaurant after they were done and the people ahead of us going into to get their seats. Which is fine. After 40 minutes we kept waiting and waiting and it says there were 2 parties ahead of us, then one. So my friend went in to check and they claimed that they called our party 20 minutes and that no came up so they took our name off the list. Complete bullshit. Also they even said they would text us when our table would be ready and they didn’t. They offered to put our name back on the list so we said don’t bother. They can go fuck off. This place is a joke. Unprofessional. We will be taking our business elsewhere. We shouldn’t have to wait that long for breakfast food. Get off your high horse.

So I’m trying this hoe for the first time. it’s on the nawf. like deep nawf off of 249 and Louetta. It’s a nice looking place. You can tell a lot of folks know about this joint because it’s packed. They said we had a 20 minute wait but it ended up being 5 minutes(which is cool by me). I was going through the menu and they got some live ass items that are appetizing to the imagination. First off, they have sweet potato pancakes and cinnamon roll french toast. like… bruh. Then, they have an Omelette/Scrambler section which includes features like the Mardi gras(crawfish, sausage & shrimp) and Lobster & Brie. They also have a legit healthy section but I’m too much of a fat ass at heart to want to eat that. I struggled so hard in deciding from those options alone but I went ahead, followed my stomach and went with the Mardi Gras omelette. It came with an english muffin & country potatoes but I substituted the potatoes for the city grits due to the waitress bragging about it. the mardi gras omelette was pretty cool. fulfilling definitely. not as much meat as I would have desired but then again, i am a carnivore. the city grits are definitely unique in texture. they taste more fluffier than your traditional grits. I wasn’t really sure if I needed to put sugar on them or not. I can confidently say that none of the items we had were nasty in any way. I even ate some of my mother’s sausage(pause) and potatoes and they were legit. the sausage was charred perfectly! the service was fine. environment was serene. no loud ass crying babies or nothing like that. the best part: I ONLYSPENT $ 30 on two people!!! I had to take half of my omelette and city grits with me because it was just tew much. I will definitely be revisiting to see what that cinnamon roll french toast hit for.

Another feather in the hat of the Vintage Park area. I stopped by to have breakfast and have now decided to make this a regular breakfast/brunch spot. We were seated immediately and waited less than a minute for someone to come and take our drink orders. There were so many things that I wanted to try, but settled on their pancakes, sausage and Mediterranean potatoes(I highly, highly recommend the Mediterranean potatoes). The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Several members of the staff came to check in on us often and ensure that we were taken care of. A lot of people have discovered this location as people in pajamas or others in full suit and tie getup equally enjoyed the experience. Definitley a spot worth visiting… often

Alright boys and girls, I am not normally a breakfast guy. I’m a lunch and dinner kinda fella. But my Ma wanted to have breakfast while she’s on spring break so I made this happen. Walking in, the wait staff was super friendly. This is a huge thing for me. Nice matters, people. Get on the nice train. So they were all friendly. Our server, Bianca was fantastic. Very nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us choose. I got eggs Benedict Oscar. Grilled flat iron steak, two poached eggs topped with garlic sautéed crabmeat & asparagus with Béarnaise. It was legit. More than enough for me. Cooked perfect. See the pic. My Ma went with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Thick sliced cinnamon roll grilled with French toast batter, layered with cream cheese icing, Bananas Foster sauce, mixed berries & whipped cream. Food came out quick and perfect. Go here. Be happy.

If you’re in the area, this place is a great choice for breakfast. Being a sleep deprived new mama living in a caffeine-free house, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a nice big cup of coffee. So I definitely appreciated the self service coffee station at the front of the restaurant when the hostess told us there was a wait. There seems to always be a wait on the weekends but hey I guess that means it’s good, right? It’s one of those places where you should get there early if you hate waiting. The waiting area is pretty small so if the weather is bad, be prepared to be cramped. The service has always been great and the food is consistently good. The one thing I’m not a fan of is the coffee. It’s not terrible but I would say it’s below average for a breakfast café. Last time I went, I got the Veggie Delight Egg-Straordinary Omelette which has spinach, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, and goat cheese. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of goat cheese throughout the dish. The potatoes were perfect — crispy and well seasoned. I can’t wait to try something else. The ambiance is also nice — family friendly but not super loud. There is definitely a reason why it is popular.

We love brunch and Another Broken Egg Café is the place to be. MR says … any of the omelettes are great. MRS says… i always get the Baked Brie Delight. It’s actually an appetizer«for sharing» but I typically have it all to myself. I would share if I have an appetite for an entrée but most times, I’m satisfied with just the baked brie. For sandwiches, I like the BLAST(they’re take on BLT sandwich). It’s just loaded with bacon. I love bacon.

Service was really prompt and friendly. The food came out fairly quickly and the portions are good for the price. The Turkey Sausage has a really nice mild flavor and all of our food was enjoyable. I had some«Mediterranean Potatoes that were very good. The menu is really broad. Lots and lots of things to choose from. I saw several things I would like to come back and try. They graciously offered us the Unilocal Check-In for the Beignets. As others have said, they are not light & fluffy like in NOLA but they did not taste bad, think of it like a little doughnut hole. This is a nice addition to Vintage Park & a good place to bring out of town guests for a nice Brunch.

Service was great, food was good, best of all– FREE beignets with a check-in. I did not make the mistake of comparing the beignets to Café du monde beignets, there’s a reason you go to New Orleans for them. The beignets came with an Orange spread which I absolutely loved. Their menu offers a lot of options, we got a Crab Cavallio omelette and split it. Omelette was filled with a cream inside, not really how I like my eggs so I would have to try something different next time. We got it with the Mediterranean potatoes which was a little extra but the potatoes were good. This is a good place for breakfast/brunch. Even though they were busy, service was fast and pleasant. Definitely recommended if looking for breakfast in the Vintage area, has nice ambiance too.

They folks are really good about substitutes. I normally get fruit instead of potatoes. The food is good and is served hot. The manager stops by my table every time I am here to ask if I need anything and to tell me she is happy to see me again.
