Desperately needs some signage! It was so hard to find. But glad we made the trip. Food was great. They didn’t have the mozzarella balls for our cypress salad so the chef sent us out a special appetizer on the house. House merlot was great wine and only $ 6 a glass. The décor is a little old fashioned but it’s clean and tasty.

I had the unexpected pleasure of trying Due Figlie last night. After remarking to my husband that there wasn’t any good non-chain Italian restaurants in Hot Springs, we saw Due Figlie putting their new sign up. Obviously, we had to stop. Their menu was impressively sophisticated. They offered dishes I would expect to see in an upscale NY restaurant — then I learned their chef was trained in NYC and has been associated with several of the finest Italian restaurants in Arkansas. Unfortunately, my husband and I both chose to order the veal, had we talked about our orders we probably would have chosen different meats to try out the kitchen. The Good: Their cream sauce is perfect. They can do a picata that is balanced and does not overwhelm the veal. It’s not a lemon-love-fest. The veal is veal; it’s not substituted pork or chicken for the uninitiated. They make most of everything, and by that I mean — they even make most of their pasta noodles. Who does that? My husband loved his canoli — I thought it was too sugary, but it’s Brooklyn style. The better choice is their tiramisu. I had to take a picture of it. Perfection! I’m so accustomed to getting a cut square of mass-produced tiramisu, it was divine to receive a decadently thick cut of handmade semi-sweet tiramisu and house marscapone. The Bad: As a new restaurant their still working out the kinks. You can tell it will be awhile until they build a following. We were one of the only diners in the place. Also, the sound of the kitchen was loud. They have an acoustic problem. The décor is ‘generic Italian Restaurant.’ Right now they’re Cash Only until they get set up for cards. I really want them to survive and thrive. I was very impressed with the menu and the food we received. For a restaurant that’s only been open a short while, they’re doing a lot of things right. I think people will come for the quality food. They’re located over by Colton’s and a short stumble from Oaklawn. I can’t wait to see what they do with the place once they get their legs under them. Hot Springs needs this.

Tried this restaurant this evening. They have totally redone the inside of the old Facci’s. Food was great. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca — which was REALLY good. I’d DEFINITELY recommend. Friendly staff inside also. I brought a dessert home. which I haven’t tried yet — but looks delicious.
