Visiting Hot Springs from Dallas and wasn’t sure where to grab a quick lunch, so stopped in here. The food was okay(huge portions!) but the service was more than okay, it was a display of true southern hospitality. One suggestion I’d offer is to remove the«NOSHARING» from the menu, I don’t typically eat huge meals and often nibble off my husband’s plate. We didn’t want to be disrespectful of the no sharing policy so we ordered a second entrée… sadly it went to waste. I’d gladly pay a fee to share but don’t like to be wasteful, so may be worth considering. Nonetheless, thanks for the hospitality and nice lunch!

Looked up this place using Unilocal.Got their menu online & decided on Catfish. Looked at their actual menu & not only was Catfish not on there, but the prices were higher(strike one). I brought this to the waitresses attention and she went to check to see if I could get the catfish. She was told it would be in on tomorrow(they had catfish nuggets on the menu which was $ 2 higher than the 3 fillets they offered on the old menu). She said that its usually served during the weekend. So then I turned my attention to the salads, which is what I should have focused on in the first place(healthy reasons). I got the Chef Salad with grilled chicken(extra). Not only was it a beautiful salad(missed a photo opp), it was a BIG salad… and delicious! Yeah, they need to update their online menu, but there’s no updating their servings and taste. Guess I’ll be visiting again whenever I’m back in town here. If I could, I would give them a 3.5, but rounding up in this case is ok.

The food was great! The service was amazing, our waiter Paul, was by far one of the nicest waiters I’ve gotten the pleasure of meeting. I had the party melt and fries, both were delicious. The grilled onions on the burger were grilled to perfection and the fries were probably one of the best crispy cut fries I’ve had. I enjoyed my experience here and if I ever pass through Hot Springs again I’ll make it a point to stop by!

Visited here recently for breakfast and left happy and very full hahaha. Ordered the double breakfast deal with 2 pancakes, 2 sausage and 2 eggs for 5 bucks. Really wasn’t expecting the pancakes to be the size of the plate! The pancakes were a little overcooked but were very delicious as was the rest of the meal. The service was very fast and friendly even though they were short-handed that day. Look forward to visiting for another breakfast.

Great breakfast, Big portions. The gravy was a tad salty but good flavor. The service was very good even though it was the 4th of July and they were slammed.

Love the location on my end of town now across from Oaklawn Race Track. The best home cooking in Hot Spring, Arkansas for sure. Fresh food a laid back old school feeling all the way around. Phil’s is the Best.

What a great place in Hot Springs. Exceptional(I don’t use this word too often) service by the co-owner. Quite possibly the best we have ever had. Nice quaint converted house. Lunch special — very large portions for a very reasonable price, good quality(not great quality). With the limited selections in Hot Springs, service, value, and good food — well worth a return visit.

Not impressed. The waitress was initially unattentive and unfriendly and then tried to make up for her mistake when she left something off our order. The bacon was over done and the biscuits were slightly burned. The sausage gravy was good. My son’s fried eggs that he ordered over medium came out hard.

Best food so far in hot springs. Service was great too. Try the hamburger steak it was awesome! Really wasn’t expecting much when we stopped but we all ate more than we should have and had plenty leftover. Great place to go have a good country family meal.

I personally prefer Gregg’s Rise and Dine as a good local breakfast place, but Gregg’s is closed on Independence Day. Phil’s has good food and the prices are reasonable. My only negative is the wait staff is quite unfriendly. The service itself is adequate, just very unfriendly.
