food was good. service was lacking. I ordered tea to drink. It never came. Once our bill was brought to us, I was informed by the waiteress that my tea was not on it since she forgot to bring it…

Pound for pound, the best breakfast around. They say good things come to those who wait. This is definitely worth the wait!

I am NOT going back. Rudest service I have ever received. The waitress literally mentioned to my party of 6 that we were taking too long on our order and she had other tables that needed her. I can honestly say that two people at the table wanted to add peppers to their eggs after we had originally ordered. There are lots of other places to eat. Choose one of those.

Best breakfast restaurant I’ve ever been to. Jayne is the best server! Get sausage patties, blueberry buckwheat pancakes, eggs and toast with apple butter. And fresh squeezed OJ. Hard to beat.

Thanks to Unilocal we had a good breakfast. I had the banana pancakes and my wife got the cheese omelette with toast. The food was good but not serving hash browns is almost a deal breaker for me.

My wife and I eat at least once here every trip to Hot Springs! Spoke with the owner on Memorial Day morning while having a fantastic breakfast. You owe it to yourself to try it out!

The hostess was lovely but our server was pretty curt. My onion and eggs were very greasy and the blueberries in the fruit ball were not fresh. My husband’s veggie omelet had so much cheese in it that he couldn’t really even eat it. It was yucky. The toast was also greasy and the coffee wasn’t great. Pancakes were pretty good though. If you are going to spend the time waiting for a table, just go for the pancakes.

Everything we had was great! Blueberry Pancakes were impressive. Had them with buckwheat and that was a nice touch. Banana pancakes were ok, not much banana flavor. Coffee was best around. Patty Sausage was local made and so good I brought home a pound!

We both had omelette and a blueberry pancake. It was excellent. Great way to start the day. The apple butter jelly on toast is a desert by itself.

We absolutely loved The Pancake Shop! I felt as though I had gone back in time. I had eaten here as a child and it was even better than I remembered. Our waitress was a gem, offered guidance on what to order and she certainly didn’t steer us wrong. I mentioned having been to the restaurant when I was younger and the staff at the register gave me a menu to take home. We left happy and filled with nostalgia for the days of eating on green rimmed plates and sipping fresh-squeezed orange juice!

Fantastic service. Great food. Friendly people. Come at least a hour before you want to eat because people line up down the sidewalk to eat here!!!

Great breakfast choice! A very friendly staff, great with kids and generous portions. You have to get the banana pancake, locally made sausage, and a cup of fresh squeezed OJ.

I debate between 3 or 4 stars and here’s why… The rye toast was amazing, the accompanying homemade apple butter was to die for, the bottomless coffee was pretty good also. However, I found the prices to be WAY too high for what you got. I got the egg special which is a very small portion of eggs and a meat. I found it to be a little too greasy for my preference. Egg special $ 8 and they just raised their prices for $.75 each for additional ingredients. The bottomless coffee is $ 2, way too expensive. And they don’t have potatoes, so your pricey breakfast is just eggs, meat & toast. All said, the food was alright. I would have been less disappointed if we hadn’t spent so much for so little.

This was a great breakfast spot. It has a very nice small town café atmosphere and the food was far better than expected. The potion sizes were very generous and truly cooked to perfection. This place does seem to stay busy even though they are only open for breakfast, having said that, the service does not seem to suffer. I would highly recommend this place to any out of town visitors looking for a great breakfast spot. It was a nice added bonus to be able to go next door to The Savory Pantry and purchase the coffee and apple butter served at breakfast.

Really great pancakes– from the blueberry(with huge chunks of blueberry!) to the buckwheat, they make good food. It’s fairly expensive if you just order two or three single cakes and a sausage patty, but you can easily get two stacks of three, split two sausage patties and get coffees and leave for $ 10 – 11 each, which isn’t any more than IHOP. I didn’t think their omelette were worth getting– not that big, but still expensive. Seating is cramped, so be prepared to get cozy and wait if you have a big group or come at 9:30!

Solid choice for breakfast. Expect a wait. The Ham Steak looked good, but I opted for the«famous» French Toast, one banana pancake, and a side of bacon. Bacon was sliced paper thin and cooked perfectly(had to be baked). Famous French Toast was off the charts. Banana pancakes were good, but not in the same league as the FT. We’ll have breakfast there again tomorrow before leaving town.

Great breakfast here! It’s that old school diner feel, waitresses call you honey or darling; nakes you feel so warm and fuzzy! Great pancakes and apple butter and the sausage… wow it’s delicious! Locally raised and prepared; best I ever ate!

Dont eat here! Its absolutely too awesome for the average breakfast goer. The flavors could potentially be too powerful and the friendly service so overwhelming, it might bring you to tears. But if you’re brave enough, if you dare, go at noon when the rush has ended and ask for Jayne. I hear she’s one hell of a fisherman! Wonderful as always :0)
