The service is poor and unprofessional. Stood for 15 minutes before someone asked how many were in our party(4). The pizza oven is showcased right when you walk in which is cool except there was a 16 year old boy making the pizzas. Our appetizer took a very long time and I almost had to get up ask if they forgot about us. Everyone at my table ordered pastas and I had the pizza. My pizza arrived 15 minutes after everyone else’s dishes because they forgot to make mine. Waiter was extremely distracted and not very helpful. Overall ok experience but I will not be returning.

Worst service and dinner EVER! The busiest night in Hot Springs. Derby day and prom. We decided to eat early because of these events. Our friends suggested Angels. We arrived, there were about 6 other people waiting to be seated. No one greeted us, one waitress was too busy telling the kid making pizzas how much he was messing up. The other waitress just ignored everyone waiting. The 6 other people ahead of us just ended up leaving. I guess the had to call in a hostess. She came in and started taking names. By that time we had waited so long people with reservations started arriving. So we kept getting bumped. We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was the best! We finally got a table. Our waitress was Rusty. We ask for the bread and pesto she informed us they have been very busy and were out of pesto. We ordered salads, 2 out of 4 salads were delivered. We waited till their salads were almost eaten and inquired about the other 2 salads. Rusty stated«I didn’t charge you for the other salads did you want salad!» We explained yes we all ordered them at the same time. Rusty came back with the salads exclaiming loudly«I guess none of you have ever been waitresses! It is a hard job!» It was so rude, unnecessary, unexpected and embarrassing the bartender came over to apologize. Matter a fact 2 out of 4 of us have been waitresses and NEVER treated any customer with such disrespect! I heard the manager was on site but you would have never guessed by the attitudes of the staff. Two of us ordered the special Florentine ravioli it was so awful we couldn’t eat it. My husband ordered his meal with Alfredo sauce, it was served with a Marsala sauce. He was able to eat it but wasn’t in the mood for that sauce. Our other friend ordered shrimp Alfredo it was served with 3 small shrimp. I guess they were rationing due to the A– listers who had reservations later that evening. I will NEVER recommend or go eat here again. Rusty needs to find a job less stressful for her.

Service was decent. Food was just ok. I had the rigatoni and Italian sausage, wife had the angel hair marinara. They were out of her first choice, eggplant parmesan. In her words, the marinara was«gross.» There seemed to be an over abundance of nats, that is small flying insects. we had three or four on our table. Prices were fair for portion size given the down town location. Would I recommend? probably not.

The food was great!!! Highly recommend the pizza, and the calamari. We ate here two nights in a row. The waiter was awesome and the owner is so sweet. Its decently price and the pizza for 4 was perfect serving wise.

Unique menu with tasty options. Restaurant has lots of potential, great atmosphere, but horrible service. My food came out lukewarm and waitresses spent her time visiting with table next to us in an obnoxious loud voice while the cook range the bell 3 times for our food. The employees don’t seem concerned with poor service, they were unprofessional. Good food, less than satisfactory service.

A good place to grab some quick lunch. We were in a hurry to grab some food when we arrived at Angels and were very happy with a quick and friendly service. The food was good — we had the fetuccine alfredo and a grilled veg sandwich which comes with penne pasta.

This place was great. Great service and great food. Great atmosphere as well. The service is excellent as well. Not sure why this is getting lower reviews. I went to higher star places last night that weren’t near as good as this was.

This was an expensive lunch! The pizza was ok, but the sausage topping lacked any discernible taste except grease. The pizza simply was not that great. The fact that the pizza maker was hacking his head off did not add to my enjoyment. I had the daily special with bolognese sauce. Frankly it was not like any bolognese I have ever had. It was not what I expected. There was a LOT of melted cheese mixed in the dish. It wasn’t bad mind you, just not what one expected. Frankly for $ 10 for a dish of pasta they could have thrown in some bread. Service was quite good. To sum it up it was unmemorable EXCEPT for the price. I will not be returning.

Since we were already on the main strip, we decided Angels for a mid afternoon meal. The atmosphere here is pretty awesome and indicative of old world Italian charm. There were only a couple of other customers, so we assumed the service would be fast. Not so. After waiting a while for our waitress, we ordered drinks and calamari for an appetizer. The Calamari was cooked well and paired well with the marinara and pesto side but was a little bland due to the lack of seasoning. Upon receiving our app, we ordered chicken alfredo and lasagna as the main course. Both dishes were good and presented well, but nothing really to write home about. Overall just an average food experience.

Let me point out a few key highlights. No free refills on soft drinks. They are served in cans. Which is how I found out my wife’s drink was expired in JULY. It’s OCTOBER. Our waiter literally laughed when I told him. Also the pizza crust is wafer thin. And the panini I ordered tasted like lean cuisine. All in all, if you’ve ever watched Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, you’ve been to this restaurant. Truly dreadful. What a shame.

Some of the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had! My gf and I stopped in here our first night in town on vacation. We ordered the fried goat cheese appetizer which was very good. We split the penne pasta with vodka sauce and the flavor was just awesome. If you are vegetarian just make sure they know you want no meat in it. We are certain(and I just looked online) that the menu didn’t say anything about meat in the dish but it came out with sausage anyway. We just ate around it. But still… no surprise sausage please. For dessert we got the tiramisu which was also so good! We also got a bottle of wine which tasted like a bottle of wine. This is a cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere, service and food. The only thing that made me sad was the fact that we went back for lunch because I was craving the vodka sauce but they do not have the penne alla vodka on the lunch menu. Oh well. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Hot Springs!

Unnecessarily bad wrap! I went for lunch and really thought my meal was delicious. Then why just an avg rating… the other pieces were a little bad or left a little something to be desired. I had the chicken and portabella with mushroom cream sauce. I found it very tasty and enough to eat. Problems…on the weekend the lunch doesn’t come with a salad… can you say, «hey tourist, we’re overcharging you.» They charged me $ 6 for a side Caesar salad that I had to get xtra lettuce for because it was swimming in dressing. While someone said the bread was like wonder bread that is definitely not the case. It is fresh baked bread but they do serve it cold. The problem was that they serve it in a basket with only a doily on the bottom. Yikes-a-roo. The service was good and there was a steady flow of folks.

Very low quality food and super expensive!! The bread they give you tastes like wonder bread and is cold. The plates are small, they barely give you anything.

The service was great! Good cold beer and s great glass of wine. We had a very fresh tasty build your own pizza. Perfect size for two hungry eaters. Had fettuccini that was light and Devine! The price was a tad high for the portion sizes. But a great location and feel in the restaurant.

It’s kind of fun to try out spots solely based on tastebuds and Unilocal reviews. So here I am. There was a wait when I arrived even for a party of one. No problem. I think I waited a total of 10 minutes. My waitress told me she had a large party and would be with me shortly. A few moments later she took my drink order before taking the other party orders. The wait for my house salad was a good 20 minutes but they brought bread to snack on. No silverware or napkins but when I asked between her hustling and bustling by me she obliged. My pizza arrived about 10 minutes after that and was pretty tasty. Thin crust decent size(I got a personal 7 inch with 2 toppings). The crust wasn’t as good as I would have liked. Had to bite twice to get it apart. Not sure if that’s a good description. My waitress worked hard but the food service was slow. Real slow. I actually passed all the folks who were seated BEFORE me on my way out. Yikes. Oh. It was rather warm and the bathroom needed attention. It was decent but only if you’re not in a rush.

Went here on a whim because another«higher rated» pizza place on Unilocal had to close early because they ran out of dough. What pizza place does that? Anyway, best decision ever! I was really craving me some pizza. When we walked in the door, you immediately see the brick oven with pizzas being cooked right in front of you. Wowsers. They looked and smelled so good. The crust was cracker thin and totally my style. However, I had read some other Unilocal reviews and another Unilocaler had said Angels had the best spaghetti he had ever eaten. I have two weaknesses when it comes to food. Spaghetti and pizza. What was I going to do? As we were seated immediately by our bomb waitress Debbie(so great btw), we passed a couple getting their food. What was the entrée do you ask? It was freaking spaghetti. It looked like heaven on a plate. So of course I got spaghetti. My friend go the pizza with like 15,000 ingredients on top. Food review! Spaghetti– life changing! I will dream of it. Please send me jars of the sauce because I have idea what made the flavor explosions so epic. Unlike anything I have ever had before. There must bc secret ingredients. Pizza– she said it was killer! The thin crust even held her 5,000 ingredients and it wasn’t greasy at all! Would love to try their sister restaurant!

This place is an amazing place in the heart of Hot Springs! The food is great, the prices are high, but that isn’t something to complain about since they place their menu and prices right outside the door so you know what you’re walking into from the get go. We got two drinks, a beer, two appetizers, and two small pizzas and out bill was less the $ 60, well worth it for all the food and quality of it all. This was our first time and the food was great, our server was very nice and sweet and knew the menu well. The fresh bruschetta was amazing and is a must if you come here!

3 – 4 minutes to see hostess with no one in front of us. $ 3.50 sharing fee $ 21 for seafood pizza. $ 3.50 garlic bread, $ 7.95 personal pizza, $ 8.50 calzone. Out of soup of the day Nice ambience — old fashioned, wood stove, pizza oven. Small cramped bar that make you feel squished Server took 10 minutes plus to come. One beer on tap Glass chipped One guy up front rolling dough, pizzas and calzones and was backed up Waiting for the entrée! Ok. Entrée came. Looked like pizza served on 4 large potato chips. The large pizza was said to serve 4. The personal pizza serves a person of 5 – 7 years of age. Literally the pizza was thinner than a Ritz cracker. Oily but good taste. Pepperoni was good and mushrooms were fresh. Accolades on the taste. Wife had calamari. Good sauce. Wife lived it. But again super small portion. Literally we could double our order to have a meal. Service was nice but a little slow. We were here mid afternoon and did not wait long for the food as compared to others. Bottom line: 8 for the taste, service sort of nice but kind of slow, food came out in a reasonable time, but overpriced because of the ½ sized portions.

Giod pasta and I like the pizza here, you can see then make it in a european oven. Wine selection is good too!
