My husband almost died at this hotel when a piece of glass from their door nearly cut his foot off and he lost the use of that foot and over 50% of his blood that evening. The cherry on top was the owner calling me while I was in Icu Praying for him to regain consciousness, screaming at me to get my F’ing a$$ back and clean the mess he made. We paid for our room even though we did not get to stay there, he spent the next 2 months in the hospital. The ER de told me another ten minutes and he would have been dead no doubt. Their building is not up to code and is not safe to stay there. I hear it’s under new ownership bc the lady died. Karma… It’s only a bitch if you are.

I stayed here a second time a few months later… The room had ants, the sheets were dirty, and the owner was pretty short with me. However, they allowed my dog and weren’t annoyed as he ran into everything in the office because he’s losing his eyesight. All in all, I still gave them three stars because I used my sleeping bag and didn’t sit on the floor. It’s still the cheapest and best location in Hot Springs.

Dirty place! Great location! But seriously they shouldn’t leave the bed sheets from the person before.

My mom and I stayed here for 3 days during my spring break, because my uncle, who is verrry loyal to this place, described it as «quaint», plus it was really cheap! The location is just about as perfect as you can get! Right in the middle of the village, but not on the main drag, so you don’t get all the traffic noise. It’s right up Fountain St, right off of Central. It’s nestled between two of the hills. Lots of trees so you can hear the birdies chirping when you wake up. Nice. The room we got was really nice for the price. I believe we paid a little over $ 100 for 2 nights, and the room had 2 queen beds, a really large patio, and a kitchenette. It was clean, had cable tv, cups and plates, huge closet, and a cute rosebush out front. The people who run it were pretty nice. The only bad thing I can say about the office is that it is always locked and you have to ring a doorbell and wait for them to answer the door? I just thought that was really weird. There was VHS rental, and when you check in you get a couple of little goodies to have for breakfast the next day, which I thought was a cute touch. The lady was very helpful in advising us on local attractions and places to eat. I think my only real complaint is that right next to the motel is a parking lot for the people who are hiking up the mountain, and during the middle of the night cars would be going in and out of this lot(which is paved in gravel, so it was pretty noisy) and the headlights were shining into our room. And this is not the fault of the motel in any way, and wouldn’t even be a problem if you got in any other room than the one we had. And also, the place is obviously very old, «funky» if you will. Bright blue tile in the bathroom, crappy door knobs(that apparently no one younger than 50 can figure out how to operate. I had to have the manager come show me how to lock our door, after which my mom explained that it was old fashioned.), doilies hanging on the wall, you get it. But despite this, it’s still a cute and cheap place to stay in Hot Springs. I think we will be back :)
