Good phở. Lemons don’t work as they are not acidic enough. Get limes please. Good spring rolls. Service is prompt. Location is good but parking could a problem.

I’ve been here twice now and the Phở and Spring Rolls are pretty good. What makes this place special though is the nice people running it. If you have a problem with your dish(I did twice) and they were so accommodating and even insisted I didn’t pay for the Phở although I wanted to. They really care about their customers and I’ll be back again.

~I have tried Phở all over Cali… And couldn’t find anything close to the Phở that is made here at Phở Kapahulu. Now that I live here, I get it all the time. When we go in and order to go, she gives us a different treat to eat every time, while we wait!!! #19 is my favorite! The Spring Rolls(#3) are amazing! So are the other rolls they have. Yummmmm!

Vegan friendly and people friendly! This is not a fancy restaurant, but you could probably tell that from the photos. It is a place where you will find reeally good tasting food and wonderful people. The best vegan phở on the island. And if you’re looking for something that will leave your tummy a little less distended try the curry.

Cool little spot indeed. We don’t eat any meat, eggs, or dairy, and this place was able to accommodate us. They have a vegetable stock for those that are vegan or vegetarian, as opposed to the beef stock they use as the broth for their phở. It was my first time having phở and I was very pleased. This place is not a fancy date spot by any means, but we were more than happy with the experience. The woman who served us was very sweet, and pleasant and took great care of us. We ordered 4 different plates of food and the bill was only 39 bucks! The portions weren’t huge so you won’t leave feeling like a stuffed burrito, but we left very satisfied. I recommend it. If you’re looking for something fancy go elsewhere. If you’re looking for good food that’s fresh, friendly service, and a down to earth setting and atmosphere… then check this place out.

Came here for a quick bite so I wouldn’t be too hungry before dinner later this evening and I really loved their phở with rare steak(on the side) and spring rolls. The spring rolls are different and have a clear-ish rice paper wrapping instead of the yellow wrapping I’m used to. Either way is good to me :) I love that this place gives you a LOT of broth(the broth is my favorite part! My boyfriend always eats most of my noodles and I drink most of his broth. The Olive Theory!) and their broth is very tasty! It’s lighter than most phở broth I’m used to, but I like that it’s more pure tasting and leaves me feeling not too weighed down. The only thing is that. they don’t seem to have parking, aside from street parking or at Safeway(and I don’t know if Safeway is strict about towing cars). I’m thinking this may be in my rotation of places for take out for hangovers and Netflix marathons!

The phở here is really good. It’s not oily and the broth is flavorful. The portions are great for the price. The service is also very good. The lady is very nice and always happy. I believe in supporting small local businesses.

The best phở in Oahu! I always get the house special with a summer roll to begin with. The server greets you as soon as you get in and is very welcoming. She gave me some jello while we were waiting for our food then a piece of mochi for the finale. Also the tofu roll is amazing and their sauce is on point! If you’re in town and in the mood for some good Vietnamese food check out Phở Kapahulu!!!

My friend has order take out for me twice from this place, so I have never had any contact or experience with them, besides the food. First take out order I got the cold rice noodles with pork. It was good, but it wasn’t great. I thought it was a little expensive for the plate. It was missing bean sprouts I was used to mixing it with. First time, so maybe I’ll try something else later. Second try for take out I ordered the lemongrass beef. Thinking this should be better. For $ 11, it should be good. It was a huge disappointment when my friend and I looked into the box. Very minimal portions of salad, beef and rice. And again, the food was not justified with the price. I don’t know how dinning experience is, but the food is pricey for the quality it lacks and the portions. I highly suggest lowering your prices to accommodate that. I can see paying about $ 7 for each of items I have ordered, but not $ 11.

Solid four! After moving to Hawaii from the east coast of the states, I’d never had phở before-definitely a new fave. This place is a very cute mom and pop type restaurant, seats about 15… Like most phở places the service is quick, thankfully here they are attentive as well. I went pretty basic and had the phở ga(chicken). The veg plate could have been a little bigger, but everything was fresh and crisp. Big plus! I was also pleasantly surprised with the Thai tea! One of the best I’ve had on island! Enough spice and enough condensed milk!(You can even afford to take a few sips and water it down, still tastes great and lasts longer) 10⁄10 will be back, looking forward to bringing my friends from the mainland here.

This is a tough review because there are positives as well as a few negatives. Overall, I don’t think you will go wrong coming here if you are in the neighborhood and craving phở. First of all, the service is extremely friendly, attentive, and very prompt which is consistent with the reviews posted. They will also give you complimentary toast and jello. The broth has a light beefy flavor, not very oily, pretty close to Golden River in Chinatown. The veggies are very fresh and of high quality, you can use everything they provide. On the down side, there is only size phở for $ 8.99 and it’s wasn’t enough for me and my wife, they should offer a larger size for maybe a dollar more. Where’s the beef? My phở only came with a handful of beef. Note the heavy use of msg as I was extremely thirsty afterwards. Parking is a challenge and beware if you are taking the advice of some reviewers to park at Safeway, they are security guards on duty. Parking in the neighborhoods or on Date Street is a better bet.

It’s very family style Vietnamese food restaurant every time I go they treated me as family and the food wasn’t bad at all Order list *spring roll *seafood phở *papaya salad(we ask lil bit more spicier than regular) *spring roll was very good portion and the with perfect boiled shrimp yummy *seafood phở soup was very tasty but there is one reason I took 1star out from the 5star because of not too much chunks and the squid wasn’t cook well I think it’s too much noodle for that portion which means good they try give us more food but I think it’s better put more chunks instead a lot of noodle.(not only for seafood phở the other phở has small portion of chunks too) *papaya salad is good with boiled shrimp and big portion No! Parking. You have to find a spot for park your car on the street but mostly time not to hard to find a spot No! Wifi No! Alcohol No! Sexy guy lol *if there is wrong information let me know so I can fix it thanks

Two ladies run the show here, one is the cook and the other takes care of the customers. The phở here is very clean. The meat in the phở is excellent; however, there’s just not enough of it. I placed an extra order for the meat for $ 4, but I think it is very pricey for the extra meat, it’s just a few extra slices. This is one of the cleanest phở I’ve ever had but I am not so sure I would return because I am a meat eater. I would recommend anyone around the area to try this place out though, they seem like really nice people and I would like to see local places like this stay in business!

If only these people could adopt me! This is the only time in my life that the food and service was so good, that I feel guilty not doing the dishes. They treated us like family, fed us like royalty, and didn’t miss a beat. I never want to leave. Ever. The owner’s family were celebrating a birthday. It happened to be my boyfriend’s birthday. Instead of doing their own candles and enjoying their own cake, they cut us both the first pieces. The cake, their kindness, and their flavors, have us floored. Thank you.

The ladies in here are so sweet and cute. We could see them poking around the corner to check up on us, they literally did not let my water get under ¾s which was awesome. They gave us some sweet toast to snack on while we were waiting for our food. Our food was really good, except for the meat in the spicy beef was not good, I wish they would just use the steak from the phở. We also ordered 2 local spring rolls that were delicious. At the end they bring you some jello squares. Overall I would recommend this place, they also have a ton of fans so there’s always a breeze.

A small simple Vietnamese restaurant that everyone definitely needs to try. We came in for dinner and it was at first empty but 30 minutes laters the restaurant started filling up with people. We ordered the spicy beef phở, chicken thin soft noodles and banana coconut tapioca pudding. The spicy beef phở broth is so flavorful. I added lots of Sriracha to my phở and omg it was spicy yet so delicious!!! I finished my entire bowl of phở. I would order another but I was definitely full. The chicken thin noodles that came out was also cooked perfectly. No need to add soy sauce… also bonus is the portions are quite generous. The banana coconut tapioca had fresh bananas inside and not overly too sweet. Yummy! Service is by far pretty amazing for a small restaurant. The lady was super sweet. She brought over complimentary green mochi after we finished our dinner and gave us some toasted cinnamon bread. I’m coming back again soon!!! Did I say our entire meal only cost us $ 25.00?

Till this day I don’t understand why don’t they spell the way they pronounce it like Pha instead of Phở??? You say tomatoes I say tomatoes… or was it how I spell tomatoes… oh never mind. My fiancé and I love coming here when it is cold or when we feel a little under the weather. A nice hot bowl of phở does the body good. The noodles are the traditional type you find at other places but their broth is always made fresh. They have the hoisin as well as sriracha out on the table. They also have some hidden gems in the fridge, you just have to ask for the paste and they will bring it out for you. I do have to warn you that you may want to try just a little as they do have a kick if you’re not used to it. Besides phở(#15, 19, 22, and #25) I have tried their spring rolls, crispy fried egg noodles #33 and their BBQ Boneless Chicken #53 and they are all winners. The staff is very friendly and humble. Always there to give us more water, napkins, etc. If you can’t find street parking you can park in the lot behind Pizza Hut.
