What I don’t understand is why they are like 5 coworkers and 3 managers all behind the counter! And only one person on cashier, when there is a line?

This mc d’s makes the worst mcdoubles. Just started the 2 for 2 promotion and over priced. Hate when they don’t toast the buns and seem to reheat in the microwave. A soggy lump of meat and cheese. Location in central Waikiki is better.

I am here a few times a month, but today I had a special request for my coffee. The two guys behind the counter were like«sure, no problem!». Thank you for your continued GREAT service.

This is the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. I have been to some McDonald’s in other parts of third world countries and this by far is the worst. The prices are so high and there is no dollar menu. Even the rock n roll McDonald’s in downtown Chicago has more affordable pricing. The bathrooms are disgusting, the workers are weird and mute. One of the workers stood with an ice cream cone in his hand as it melted without saying anything for the customers to know it was ready. My husband who never turns McDonald’s away couldn’t even eat his hamburger. Yes, we are on vacation so wanted a quick cheap meal but shit, we should have just went to ihop down the street.

Solid city McDonald’s, nothing special here but its convenient location. On the corner of Hobron and Ala Moana, it’s located right at the hub of west Waikiki. For those imbibing in nightlife, this place will always have your late night hunger needs at heart. I mostly just stop in for ice cream, not to eat. The lobby is large and spacious, there’s lots of seating and windows to watch the hustle outside. The staff here is usually friendly and efficient. There are lots of other businesses and hotels around; it’s so a quick walk to the harbor, beach, and lagoon.

Came in the morning to grab a quick take out breakfast. It was around 9:20 am. Short lines. This McDonald’s has a lot of seating and is pretty clean. However, there’s a no loitering sign that puts a 45 minute time limit on how long you can take to consume your food. The worst part of this place is it is freakishly expensive for a McDonald’s. I mean, I know it’s in Waikiki and there are a ton of tourists all the time, but really, $ 4.99 for an egg mcmuffin??? Oh yeah. The caramel mocha is ridiculously sweet, although I guess I should have expected that. I couldn’t finish the whole cup.

It’s McDonald’s there really isn’t much else to say. This has a convenient location and there is an ABC store right across the street if you’d rather have a different selection of beverages. The biggest downside all of this McDonald’s is the island level pricing. Everything here is significantly more expensive than it would be on the mainland including the«one dollar menu». Also I would be wary of their«Hawaiian iced tea» it really sucks. They’re not the fastest or slowest fast food restaurant I’ve been to and the level of cleanliness is acceptable.

I’ve been going to this McDonald’s only because its nearby and I’m on vacation in a hot place, so I enjoy the cheap ice cream. Today I went there and I asked for a deluxe chicken ranch snack wrap. I literally read it off the menu and the guy had no idea what I was talking about. He called the manager and the manager saw it instantly on the register. This took up about 10 minutes of my time. This was extremely irritating, and then they got my order mixed up. The food is standard McDonald’s quality, but the service at this specific one was bad.

Their breakfast prices are borderline criminal. Just paid $ 5.33 for a bacon and egg Mcmuffin. Not the meal just sandwich. I choose to live in Waikiki and understand prices are inflated here, but that’s absurd. Last week in Waikiki main area, across the street from the beach we got the two burger combo, fries and a drink for a lower price(5.26) than one egg mMcmuffin sandwich. And to boot, you can get a six inch breakfast sandwich with coffee or a drink from subway, which is in the same complex, for 3.60 and it tastes better! Avoid this Mcdnalds until they stop ripping people off!

Seriously… I have given them chance after chance. But the food is always over cooked and they never participate in the sales. They are content in over charging tourists. Waikiki

Why only 2 stars? 1. It’s McDonald’s 2. The service is terribly slow 3. It’s waikiki so it’s more expensive than normal. 4. No free refills on soda here?!? 5. They actually get a couple stars because I love Big Macs and the fries.

Deep fried Hupia Pie. Yes, I said deep fried unlike the lame ass baked apple pies in the states. Hupia = Coconut for those of you that have not yet visited the rock.

Taro Pie is better than Apple Pie. Do this nationally, even on a seasonal basis, and McDonalds wins.

Overpriced! 70 cent refills! They only put half a piece of cheese on a fish Sandwich! They take forever to get your food out! These are just a couple of things that are so wrong with this McDonald’s. If you have time I would walk a mile down the road to the next McDonald’s where the prices are way better and they also give fresh pineapple with a combo meal.

Did you know McDonald’s offers FREECOFFEEREFILLS if you’re over the hill, ahem, 55 years or older? If you didn’t, now you know why it’s the«coolest place to hang» for the geriatric crowd, why they stay for hours on end, and why they go there every single friggen day. I hope this McDonald’s location stays open till I hit 55 and can milk this free benefit in exchange for all of the times I’ve felt completely ripped off purchasing anything from here. Did you know this location also has no $ 1 or Value Menu? I was reminded again last week Thurs. of why I dislike it here: 1 breakfast burrito meal(2 small burritos, small OJ& hash brown) 2 small breakfast burritos($ 2.50 each) = $ 12. 53 «Price of Paradise!» «Oh, it’s Ala Moana that’s why!» Stick with Koreamoku’s McDonald’s. It’s less than a quarter mile away and won’t charge you anywhere from $ 1-$ 2+ more per meal. REVIEW #231

I was super sad when I walked to the McDonald’s in Waikiki, but it seemed like it was closed down for reconstruction. I was determined to get my spam and eggs breakfast so I drove over the McDonald’s in the Ala Moana Mall. I had my breakfast of spam, eggs, Portuguese sausage, and rice. Poured on some soy sauce on the rice to complete the meal. My parents were pretty amused that McDonalds serves such a dish. I just wish they served this in the mainland! It was pretty busy that morning, but we were able to find seating. I tried their haupia pie, which was pretty good if you like coconut. I was pretty sad that they didn’t have any taro pies in season though :(.

No matter where you go, there is always going to be a McDonalds. However, the McDonalds in Hawaii has a great cheap breakfast selection of portguese sausage, eggs and rice and spam eggs and rice. They also offer all the regular stuff that is one the usual menu. Free-wifi too. I don’t eat meat so I didn’t try any of them, just came in to get oatmeal since it was close to the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Haven’t been a fan of McDonalds since I was a kid, sort of gave up the whole big mac, french fries and ranch thing back in highschool but my kids still enjoy there pancakes from time to time. If you are craving McDonalds are you are staying on Ala Mouna blvd., Hilton Hawaiian Village or Illaki, this is the closest fast food restaurant that is walking distance.

Came here to try out their blueberry pie. The layout is pretty unique and old-school, with the split levels and all. They don’t build these locations like they used to. I’m not sure how they do this, but they were playing non-stop Hawaiian music for my entire visit. Maybe it’s a dedicated radio station or something. Another reason to go to Mickey D’s is because of their free Wi-Fi. If you’re a tourist, this is a lifesaver. How as the pie itself? A bit too sweet, but very blueberry-ish. Yum.
