We had a great experience at this Hyatt. The customer service was superb. Both my kids got sick with sore throats and we went to Walmart to get Otter Pops and they put them in the freezer for us. When they were not frozen 24 hours later they felt bad and brought us some from the pool area. We had a wonderful ocean view. Michael at valet was wonderful, along with Shane at the front desk, and Robert who brought us the otter pops great experience. Caution: housekeeper did not change sheets we had to strip the bed for her to change the sheets I didn’t care for that.

Old and outdated décor. Ants in the bathroom. Construction started every morning by 9AM. Men passed by our balcony every morning. Layout of elevator and escalators inconvenient. No one enforcing no smoking areas. We were on the 9th floor and could hear everything going on on the streets every night. Don’t get the breakfast here. More worth it to go out and try better, cheaper varieties elsewhere. Hilton Hawaiian Village was way more enjoyable, peaceful, quiet, and great service. I do not think we encountered any service people at the Hyatt. We saw no one except when we checked in and when we checked out, except at breakfast.

I was craving a cheeseburger, and down came a light pointed right at the Hyatt Snack Bar. And I heard music. $ 11 bought me a cheeseburger, a large portion of fries and a decent size soda. The cheeseburger was definatly edible, which is great for this price in downtown waikiki. You can enjoy your new burger sitting at a table on the beach watching burnt tourists attempting to surf. BEWARE! The portion of fries is large enough for two people. Don’t let them fool you into buying two, unless you are very very hungry. Also, the birds around the area tend to be freedom fries stealers so be careful, they are fiesty.

Surprisingly enough the little personal pizza was good.

$ 4 for a chunky shave ice, but I admit it was pretty huge. And when it’s as hot as it gets on the beach, a large pile of ice is nice even if it’s not nearly as fine or flavorful as wailoa. But the lady at the counter did laugh with some moke who tried to cut me in line and who THREW trash at me. Don’t laugh when people throw trash at your customers!

Located next to Duke’s statue on Waikiki beach, this small snack bar makes a convenient and good beach lunch. I hate getting dressed to eat when I’m at the beach. I’d prefer to wander up in bathing suit and sarong for a quick lunch so I can head straight back to the water and sun. Hyatt on the beach is reasonably priced. I got the Katsu style breaded chicken breast sandwich, fries, and a soda for $ 10. My dad got the foot long super dog, and boy was it huge! The fries had an odd taste to them, like the oil that was used was bad or just too many other things had been fried in it. I really wanted one of the yummy looking shave ices but I just couldn’t with the wind making me cold. Be ready to guard your food from pigeons here. We sat at one of the picnic style tables and were surrounded by pigeons trying to get a crumb or fry. Overall a good deal especially in Waikiki. It’s convenient but the oil needs to be changed.

When you’re hanging out on Waikiki and don’t wanna walk far to get a bite to eat, you can stop by this place for a quick snack. They serve everything from hawaiian breakfast — spam, portuguese sausage to sandwiches, snacks. I loved this place for their chili cheese fries and their snowcones. O-M-G! Everyone loves their chili because around 3pm, there was no more left! You can even get their chili on top of rice… mmmmm… I’d go there again!

Right next to surfrider and the police station on Waikiki, this place is the place to stop by for an early breakfast or a quick afternoon snack. We got spam, eggs and rice for $ 5.50. Their Portuguese sausages are also very good, though you do only get three slices, how can you complain for the price you pay on Waikiki? They also have foot-long super hot dog, or with local-style daily specials such as sirloin meat loaf, grilled mahimahi and kiawe-broiled chicken. Beach-goers can also hit the snack bar to cool off, whether with a frappuccino, pink lemonade or the biggest shaved ice you’ll find at any snack stand or restaurant in Waikiki. 7:00 a.m. to Sunset, daily
