Food was OK. We felt very out of place and on an island. Staff did not realize the a though we were American, that we spoke and understood Japanese. If it wasn’t for the fact that we actually wanted to try this specific restaurant because it was recommended we would have left. Our waitress made disparaging remarks to the Japanese Family that was seated next to us and carried on about how US Military Families give Honolulu a bad name, adding that we must be lost all the while laughing. If it were not that it was so late we would have left. The food, was actually good but the atmosphere and service ruined the dinner. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because of its service staff.

I truly love this restaurant. The staff here is courteous and the food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially for Waikiki. Their early bird dinner specials are available until 7:30! That’s crazy! We’ve tried many items on the menu and have always been happy with anything we order. Some of our favorites are the beef broccoli crispy noodles(my 5 year old daughter’s favorite), salt & pepper calamari, walnut shrimp, and the roast duck… But like I said, everything we’ve ever had has been tasty. Thank you Sandi, Andy, and staff for an always amazing dinner experience. We’ll be back soon!

We came here for a small function and got to sit in a raised separate room past the bar area. This section sat about 20 of us and gave us a nice private setting for a going away party. A few of us don’t eat shellfish and was a little skeptical about what we could actually eat. After we reviewed the menu we were pleasantly surprised on how much options they offered. They have a large selection of not just seafood but also chicken, duck, beef, and pork. My favorite dish was the duck fried rice. Only thing was the rice actually came last and we had already finished most of our entrees so we ended up eating the rice by itself. The staff here is awesome! Our server Hua was great and handled a large party very well. The manager Andrew is super nice and really cares about guest experience and made sure we enjoyed our dining experience there. He made sure we were taken care of and was very sincere in making sure we were happy. There aren’t too many options for good Chinese food in Waikiki so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese/Seafood in the Waikiki Area.

Amazing staff at seafood village! Everyone greeted us as when came down and entering the resturant. I felt very welcome here. First time ever eating out in waikiki to a Chinese restaurant. The food is authentic as in chinatown. Price a bit high, but that because it’s in a tourist spot. I want to give some kudos to Andy, he must been the manager since he is not in uniform like the rest of the staffs and Jun our server whom is outstanding! He is a hardworking asset to the company. He is very welding and attentive and providing us alot of details of the menu items. I recommend this place to everyone. I will recommend this place to my friends and family members!

We ate here during our stay in Waikiki. Our flight got delayed coming into Hawaii so we went for the nearest place we saw after checking-in. We had the super special(meal before 730pm). Service was pretty decent. Food was decent. Don’t expect anything too grand.

Can I give them 0 star? Poor service, awful dishes, most importantly, the extremely high price($ 150+tip for 3). Also it is so ridiculous that we must pay nearly 20% tips for that. I will never encourage anyone of you to go there. Chinese food is not like this, seriously.

I’m not going to tell you I’m an expert on Cantonese food, but I will tell you when something has no flavor. It’s a real shame because everything else was great but the food. Fast, friendly and easy. For what I paid 150.00 + tip for 4 this was horrible. What I got was really bad, like they didn’t season or salt the food.

Enjoyed my meal here very much. Andy and his staff treated us like family. Tang was prompt and attentive. Had the ribeye and fried shrimp, cooked perfect. Shared the garlic chow fun with the fiancé and was pleased as well. Keep it up, will be back on our anniversary!

This restaurant is totally not worth the money. I know most people are tourist and you are expected to pay a little more for dinner but you could find better places. With Seafood Village, the food is very very overprice for the amount of food you get. Fish Maw Soup is usually a favorite at any Asian restaurant, but if you want the soup family size, you’re gonna have to order a lot of soup.(WEORDERED3) One bowl of soup is literally one serving a person. The service here was ehh… when the server came out with our food, his THUMB was literally in our food LOL. The fired rice here isn’t the best either. It was very bland and I felt like a tasted just rice in the dish. The only thing I enjoyed eating here was the Crispy Chow Mein. Super expensive/Serving size isn’t the best.

We had a buy one get one Entertainment book coupon. So we figured we would try it out. It’s definitely not a modern contemporary sleek type of restaurant. But what they lack in ambience they make up for in the quality of their food. I would definitely recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops for an appetizer. We opted for the Kung pow prawns and spicy Mongolian beef for our entrées. The food was hot spicy and arrived quickly at our table the problems were cooked beautifully and the Mongolian beef was definitely spicy. I can see how some people might be turned off by the overall décor but I believe that the food is as good as any out there for the money.

We gave up on dukes since we were so hungry… It’s waikiki, no view but super friendly and fast service, good food, comfort food with a full bar— we were in waikiki and too tired to walk or drive and loved the tropical atmosphere but this injection of solid, voluminous comfort food in professional courteous environment… Was true until after the first dish which was soup. Lobster was bad, duck was not fresh, onchoy was super wilted and it tastes gooey by the chunk all over the plate, I can’t believe all that was $ 40/person! But I do give a star because our wait boy was very apologetic and tried very hard, and also soup was good, and so the first 15 min were very hopeful. Fried rice wasn’t bad either.

Good dim sum & reasonably priced. In the Hyatt Regency Hotel Waikiki which makes it a little out of the way for locals. The seating is such that there are semi-private rooms for small groups of 10 – 20. The parking lot is awful so valet park your car.

I came here with very low expectations. It was very convenient near the hotel I was staying. This turned out to be the best Chinese food in Honolulu and certainly much better than Fook Yuen. Service was fantastic. Every food item that we ordered came out perfectly. Authentic Chinese food. Not too salty with just the right amount of ingredients. We started with the hot and sour soup. It came out perfect. I now had high expectations on the remaining dish since if the restaurant can make soup correctly, then normally the rest of the dishes are usually on the mark as well. We had a scallop dish, lettuce wrap, seafood stir fry, and a shrimp green tea leaves dish. All perfect. If you haven’t tried shrimp roasted with green tea leaves, I highly recommend it. Fantastic! Price was a little more than other Chinese restaurants in Honolulu but again it’s right in the middle of Waikiki. I will certainly come back again. I’m uncertain how its dim sum tastes but I certainly have high expectations. I don’t give 5 stars very often and this restaurant is more of a 4+ stars but I want to offset all the poor ratings from others. I’m not sure they know what they’re talking about. I’ve probably eaten at a few hundred Chinese restaurants to include 5 stars restaurants in San Francisco, New York, Canada, Seattle, and in China(Hong Kong and Beijing) so I know a little thing or two about Chinese food. I wouldn’t say that this compares to some of the more famous places, but it is certainly good enough and may be the best Chinese food that Honolulu has to offer. I’ll try it again soon and see if my second trip has the same high quality experience.

Here we went after watching the magnificent sunset at Waikiki beach and a nice walk along the boulevard. A typical Chinese restaurant. Located in the ground level of a hotel. Descent place. Fast service. Food were great. We had seafood basket, roasted duck and shrimp with walnut. The serving for each is good for two. Can’t believe we finished it all. Either we were hungry hippos or because it was so delicious. We stayed for a while and staff was nice not to bother us during the entire time. Too late when I checked my Unilocal inbox of a free appetizer offer for checking in. One reason probably to come back soon.

This place open for dim sum 11−2pm. If you arrive before 11am just walk downstairs and they will have you seated. We didn’t know. We waited by the front. I like how fresh the food is. Service was great. My overall experience was average. It is a decent place. for those of you who live chicken feet or wonton soup. I wouldn’t recommend. It doesn’t have much flavor.

Dim sum plates are nice and cheap. Seafood here are super expensive. 56 $ one pound of lobster with no difference from other Chinese seafood place. Check in at Unilocal to get a free starter.

There’s always a reason a restaurant is rated 2.5 stars. We should’ve taken that as a warning, but we were hungry from a long flight and took convenience over reason. The food fares between 2 – 3 stars, but I’m sorry any time I get hair or other foreign objects in my food, it just drops you to an automatic 1 star. The best dish of the night was probably the honey walnut prawns because the prawns were cooked well and the glazed walnuts were better than most. Then mid-way through the meal, the bf finds a hair in the Mongolian beef. It’s always worse when it’s mid-way through the meal. Why can’t I find these things before I start eating?! We showed it to the waiter and he said he would replace the dish. The best was when the waiter returned with the new plate and said, «Mongolian beef, no hair?» As if with hair or without hair is an option. They brought us out complimentary dessert to remedy the situation. Our dessert spoons had leftovers stuck to them. Gross. Again. Poorly cleaned utensils are another big no-no. You will also not be pleased with the exorbitant pricing. For dinner, $ 14 – 17 average for entrees, but seafood $ 20+. The quality of the food is nowhere near worth these amounts. I was sad to have wasted a vacation meal here when there’s so much better food I could’ve been eating.

Came here once they opened with my sisters for their dim sum. I was hoping for a better meal, but I’ve eaten at better dim sum places in SF. The pictures of the portion size are definitely smaller once they arrive to your table. Pork shumai was good and so was the shrimp dim sum. Can’t mess up with potstickers. The jelly noodles are definitely unique. Pork buns were nice, but the chicken buns were super dry. Prices were semi-decent. I felt that some dishes should have a bigger portion for the price we paid. Not a fan of the tables though. The table cloths would touch you(fabric and then plastic on top). I prefer tables that don’t have table cloths unless I’m at a fancier and formal occasion.

I come here each time I visit just for the dimsum. I order to go and they are always very polite. It’s a hot spot for celebs and presidents alike. My favorites are the sesame red bean paste balls and pork buns. It looks like a sit down place but you can ask to order out. It’s pretty cool because the owner has pictures of tons of celebrities and presidents with him on the wall.
