Breakfast: the fried rice omelette is to die for… only Monday to Friday only! You can get a small or large with cheese. I found a piece of heaven… I’m sure a lot of carbs, but ever so good! That’s the only reason I go. Idk know about the bowling side… sorry!

Harbor Grill I do not go on base at Pearl that often. I am almost always only there for the Special Olympics Winter Games. And long days of watching basketball from 8 am til the late afternoon makes me hungry to say the least. So– walking to the bowling alley where the restaurant is makes for a wonderful treat between games. I have to say– everyone that goes here is the politest people on the earth. No where else can you get out of line when there are about 10 people waiting and your spot will be there for you to walk back to without even having to ask to get back in line. Soldiers in full uniform will just stand behind you as if you are the start of the line– no matter where in front of the counter you are. So polite. Everyone assumes that you could be the general’s family is the only explanation that everyone is so polite. To the food. If you are there for breakfast, get the fried rice eggs with cheese. Just get it. Just get the large. Don’t ask or think that cheese on fried rice is frankenfood or anything– just get it. It is the most popular item and it is good. If you were to bring fried spam from home you would have the best worlds largest mushibi– but no spam required. It is a wonderful meal. Yeap– the large fried rice cheese is a meal in itself– good enough for breakfast, brunch or lunch even though it is only served til breakfast is done. Other breakfast is made to order. Pancakes, eggs, bacon and breakfast meats, omelets, they have all that — but it is not as good of a value as the fried rice. I ordered over hard fried eggs but they were runny runnyyyy yellow yokes, the short order cook woman just cooked it over easy at a mimimum heat. The bacon though is perfect. The hash brown is similar to store bought and not much to talk about at all. The pizza is required keiki birthday party staples but worse than chuck e cheese. It is just plasticy dough that does not have enough gluton in it to be a pizza dough– sause is tasteless paste and cheese is the oily low grade that greeses and seperates in heat. The burgers are just done well. Cooked like a bar food and makes everyone happy as they come with waffle fries in the combo. I feel like a little kid as I haven’t had waffle fries since I was like 15 years old. The fries are nastolgic and great. Also– it is restaurant week, so I’m trying to review just restaurants until the week is over– trying my best. Let me know if this is good or not.

Awesome cheap eats!!! If you work on Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, you know about this hidden little gem. It’s inside the Naval Station Bowling Alley on the Submarine Base side of the harbor. Oh and by the way, the lanes at bowling alley are pretty sweet. Things to have: Daily dinner specials The Famous F.R.O.(Fried Rice Omelet) small is good, but get the large! 6″ Pizzas — I recommend the All Meat. Saimin — There’s liquid cocaine in it or something because it’s addicting. Waffle Fries — only other place I know of that serves this is Stinger Ray’s. Bacon Cheeseburger Cajun Burger

I love bowling alley food. Not that new age, fancy pantsy crap(which i do on occasion enjoy), but i mean that fried, battered, grilled goodness that can only satisfy you after bowling one or three really hardcore, awesome games. Two things you need to know: WAFFLEFRIES. yup. FROM. F-ried R-ice OM-elette. SOGOOD. and it’s only $ 3 for a small. whaaaat? but they only serve it til 10am(great for breakfast before work). i know this place isn’t easily accessable to everyone because it’s located on a military base, but if you work on base or can get here, do it. and try the FROM!
