I’m a big lover of Thai food. So I had to give this place a try. First I tried the house soup, which was a decent bowl of chicken noodle soup with diced cabbage, onions, carrots and cilantro. As well as what appeared to be minced chicken bits. Although I was truly disappointed with the lack of chicken in the soup, it was still tasty. Next up was a nice size plate of traditional Pad Thai. It was fair in flavor, a heap of chicken and two shrimp. When I say«two shrimp», I’m not speaking of two big butterfly shrimp. I’m speaking of two SMALLSALAD size shrimp. The noodles were pretty good, not over cooked. Other than that, the Pad Thai was decent. Would I come here again? Surely, but I definitely would try something else on the menu.

Love this place. Friendly staff and excellent food. We come for hibachi and the chef is great putting on a show. No waiting and the food quality is 5 stars.

A doable Hibachi eatery. Prices are good and food is nice. Super clean and great options once your in restaurant. We have returned several times and have enjoyed our Hibachi experience each time. Please don’t compare to Samurai as they are in a league of there own.

Compared with other restaurants this food is about 2 – 3 stars depending how familiar you are with the dishes; however, for the area it’s definitely above average(4 stars)! I’d average between those ratings for a score of 3 and would recommend it to people over other nearby Thai/sushi places(I’ve been on the hunt since moving here for a decent Thai/sushi dish). The inside of the restaurant is very well kept and a new section for hibachi has opened. We sat in the dine in area(not hibachi). We ordered miso soup(mostly broth, there wasn’t much seaweed or tofu to it, below average), California rolls(tasted and looked fresh and the Spicy mayo? on point!), and the niko udon(very good, really enjoyed the taste). I could imagine some people wanting a little more flavor to the dishes, which could be a negative to some. However, I really enjoy adding more salt, pepper, etc. to meet my personal taste rather than be stuck eating something that is too intense for me. While we ate we recieved prompt service and constant water refills! The staff was very quick to accomodate, great service!

I absolutely LOVE this place. The customer service, ambiance. Always fast always fresh have been eating here FOREVER! Love the staff and they always get my order right, their honey chicken, garlic chicken, sweet and sour chicken are better than you’ve EVER had. From anywhere. So yummy and their hibachi is to die for. No wait like samurai and it’s a better show. Try their homestead spicy roll!

I came here with my whole family(11 people) on a friday night because it was recommended by a close relative. I must say, I was impressed. I have never, in my whole life, experienced such a horrible dinner. I should have walked away when I noticed that on a friday night, only two tables were occupied but I decided to give a try because of the decorum. The decoration and overall look of the place was not lacking, but the food’s presentation, texture, freshness, taste were all indicative of having been picked up from a trash can and placed on plates with the sole intention to disgust. I personally ordered a Tom kha kai as a starter, and could tell right away that none of the ingredients were fresh and the tom kha kai flavor was from one of the packets you buy in a chinese market. Almost like they used coconut milk that had been standing for a couple of days. The sashimi was literally dry!(Must have been cut days prior). They didn’t have any white fish, only tuna and salmon(go figure.) I sent it back right away after having one piece. About 30 minutes later I had to go rushing to the bathroom. I have never been sick from a restaurant meal before, but thanks to Suvi Thai & Sushi I got to experience the delight of having to empty your innards explosively from bacteria infested«sashimi.» My wife had a Spider Roll and it came with cold, soggy soft crab, a roll that appeared to have been rolled by a three year old, the avocado looked like it had been sliced for hours before(black spots) and a nice puddle of what appeared to be soy sauce or something under it all. Finally, I had a Chicken Pad Thai. The pad thai sauce was not homemade(you could tell because it was still clotted like a gelatinous paste — even though its so simple to make). They had the wrong type of noodles for it as well. I honestly feel that the staff in Suvi intentionally did this. I mean, I can’t possibly comprehend how a restaurant can be open while serving such crappy food. Seriously, worst restaurant I’ve EVER been to, and I have traveled all over the world. Just to give some perspective.

Wonderful hibachi in homestead! Our family had a great time. The calamari and scallops were very fresh and the NY strip was really tender! Great service, a place we will visit again very soon! Yum!

Ate here and then saw them featured on Dirty Dining. They would leave the thawed chicken outside in the elements and then bring it in to cook. Also, they were buying rotten veggies. Hopefully they have done better. I will never know because I won’t ever eat here again!!!

I typically go to the one by the airport, but I’d thought I’d try the one down here and compare. Fail!!! Once I saw the hibachi I was all about it instead of Thai food! AMAZINGBALLS!!! MUSTTRY!

Really took care of us and made my kids had a really good time. They moved us to a private room and my oldest got to cook for a few seconds. We just came to eat after picking the kids up from school and we’re not expecting much. But their service was really fast. The water always there to refill our glasses and make sure out table was always clean

Driving late one night through Homestead, we found this place and it really was the best choice in the area. It is a huge restaurant and had a few patrons even late night on Sunday. We don’t eat sushi, but tried soup and two Thai entrees that came fast, hot and delicious. I’d go there again.

I would return for lunch again. First off finding a nice thai restaurant in Homestead/Florida City is unheard of! The décor is beautiful the owner designed it himself shocked when I walked in. Feels like your in Thailand. Spacious and welcoming. As you walk in your asked if your eating thai food or hibachi. I was brave enough to hit a right into the hibachi room. I was there on a early lunch break so no one else was in the room, which I enjoyed. Certain hibachi places wait for the entire table is full before a chef appears. I ordered a thai ice tea is was delicious & taste authentic. I ordered chicken hibachi & my crusader ordered steak. It accompanied a fresh ginger salad. Half way thru my salad my hibachi chef Ivan appeared, he gracefully bowed I joked and told him it was unnecessary. He smiled and proceeded to cook. Wonderful job did a few tricks made a heart out of rice and made a little heart beat what a joy. Will see you guys soon ;)

I had the mild green curry, with tofu and rice. It was delicious. I loved the interior of the restaurant, it’s so spacious and well designed aesthetically. Our server was sweet and funny, it was a lot nicer than I was expecting for this area. I would definitely come back another time if I was staying in town longer.

We were looking for Asian food during our stay in homestead and the people at Travelodge recommended Suvi. The menu offers everything one could want from both a Thai and Japanese place, and the environment was quite welcoming and clean! We ordered ginger beef rice dish, udon, and massaman curry. The food was around 3.5 stars, I’d say. not 100% authentic Thai, but it came out fairly quickly and the service is absolutely attentive and fantastic. Not sure that I’d return within the next week nor any time soon in the future, but the service is wonderful.
