Nice roadside restaurant. Food was good. Service good too. Dining is outside under pavilion. Nice breeze.

Very touristy, a bit pricey. Paid $ 15 for their colossal burger, fries, and a 20 oz coke. Nothing colossal about the burger, just a bunch of toppings on it. Cute little spot though; just down the street from Robert is here. They got an Everglades/fl keys inspired menu offering alligator, frog legs & conch if you’re adventurous.

Really good food! Ordered gator tacos and gator basket and the alligator meat was prepared very deliciously. First time trying gator meat and I have to say I like it very much! We ate our meal in the car because there was not enough space indoors to eat and also we just wanted more privacy, but this is definitely a cute and yummy shack to get your gator fix on.

Ok so first thing we looked up after a morning at Everglades Natl Park was the menu on Unilocal… Which seems to be linked to another Gator Grill because there’s definitively no stuffed duck… but the mahi tacos, chicken wings, and grilled to order burger was awesome! We were not quite adventurous enough to try the gator bites but maybe next time. Thoroughly enjoyed the country setting, outdoor picnic tables and friendly staff. Only thing missing was freshly brewed iced tea but the food was so amazing I’ll still give it a high FIVE!!!

Alligator is now my favorite meat! This was my first trip to Florida. We went to the Alligator Farm and right after that, we went to the Gator Grill to have some alligator meat; a dream come true! It was perfect. The ladies working there are very friendly, and very professional. The way they cook the meat is perfect. The gator Kabobs are the best! This was definitely one of our best experiences in our Florida vacation.

This little shack way outperforms its first impression. The gator bites and sweet potato fries were hot, tasty, and appropriate to the Everglades. I knew we had lucked out when I asked if the gator bites were deep fried, and the friendly lady reacted with horror. They are grilled, tender, and served with a nice tangy sauce. We enjoyed eating in the covered outdoor picnic area. And this is the closest food outside Everglades National Park. So no need to head all the way back to the highway if you make the mistake of going to the park hungry, like we did. A forced backtrack became one of the highlights of our day’s visit to the park.

Great little stop when down south. I really like the gator sandwich. My husband gator tacos were really good and my daughter loved the gator kabobs. Casual fun food.

We ordered the hamburger and frog legs over rice. The frog legs are without a doubt the best I’ve ever had in my life. They make it in a brown Cajun gravy sort of that is very flavorful. $ 14.95 was well worth the price. The hamburger was also good. The dinning was picnic tables outside so the wind and flies try to get your food. That was the only draw back. Not a great place to bring a date, bur a family oriented stop, really just a hole in the wall stop to the everglades. It’s really worth the stop though.

Best Gator Tail I have ever had, is that good that they don’t even need to bread it, all big chunks of meet, I tried the Kebab and the stir fry so tasty and so good! Is a full Florida experience specially if you are around to the the Everglades or something similar I don’t think you can’t find this quality of tale anywhere else!

We got the gator basket, which was pretty good but eh for the value. The gator itself is chewy but tasty. It was a decent novelty stop to try gator after a trip to the Everglades, but I’d probably pass if I were in the area again.

Saw this place while leaving the Everglades and thought some gator sounded good. Got the gator basket which was a good value for the portion size. Lots of fries, plenty of gator bites, some plantains, and a side of coleslaw for $ 12. Not bad considering we were just outside the park. Everything was very tasty and the gator was especially tender.

I really wanted to be impressed. When we arrived it looked like a great place but, the food was just ok. My husband had the gator bites and several of them were really fatty and inedible. The portion size was on the skimpy side also. I had the chicken quesadilla which was pretty good. I don’t know if they lost our order or what, but several people came in after us and they received their food before we did. It may have been what we ordered. It just seemed like a very, very long time for our order to be delivered to us.

My first time eating alligator meat. I had it kabob style. Taste like chewy chicken. Also I had fog legs. Very good. Very meaty and organic as it can be

Every time I get down into those areas I affectionately refer to as «Deep Florida,» I can’t resist having some of our indigenous Everglade foodie treats like gator bites and frog legs, which is what brought me to Gator Grill. Gator Grill really doesn’t amount to much as a being a restaurant. It’s more in nature of being a little roadside tourist stop café having rather limited snack or light food offerings like burgers and tacos, with its inside seating only being a counter with four seats. However, true to their name offer a darn good grilled or sautéed basket of chunky little bites of gator as well as a deliciously prepared in butter with garlic plate of frog legs, rice, plantain and coleslaw. I’ve had both and have found them to be some of the better as well as more tasty that are served up in the area. Better yet, the inside and food preparation area of Gator Grill is super clean and the staff more than helpful, pleasant and polite. It’s also a great spot to stop by when you showing off what the Everglades area or more real areas of South Florida are all about to out of town guests. It’s also great for kids, even elderly kids like me. While there I couldn’t resist wrestling an alligator even though the one I wrestled was a statue constructed of concrete; close enough to being the real thing for me. Besides the rather meager inside seating, there is an outdoor tiki hut, or what a in Floridian I think more accurately be termed«chickee hut» with an arrangement with picnic tables where most take their food to eat. For what it is and for what it is meant to be, a simple roadside tourist like stop over with light food offerings, Four Stars.

Gator basket is a ripoff when you consider its over $ 10 and all you get is a puny side of coleslaw, a few bites of gator meat and side of fries. Would not fill me up at all! We felt this was a major ripoff. The gator stir fry is much better. Flavor was great with onions, peppers, and mushrooms with rice. The bottled«hot sauce» on the tables isn’t anything special. Just Louisiana hot sauce probably. We stopped here because reviews were so strong but the portions don’t justify the prices at all.

Gator kebab tastes yum! Very juicy and flavorful! Portion was fairly too small upon that charge! Guess their location got nothing to beat. We had gator stir fry, was a bit too salty! Since their portion was really small, we got an other shrimp taco. Taco was nothing standing out.

J’ai testé l’alligator en stir-fry, délicieux! Il vaut mieux y aller quand il fait beau, l’intérieur est petit mais il y a des tables à l’extérieur! L’accueil était très chaleureux!
