A Hollywood Florida tradition since 1953. The corned beef hash and eggs, the porkchop, the biscuits and gravy, and hash brown casserole, all super delicious! Great service! Love it!

Great service and food. Service is also great! You can tell that a lot of locals come here on the regular because the waitresses knew the customers.

I’m not usually a huge diner fan. However, they have this beautiful breakfast dish called the Crazy Jack’s Skillet. Oh… my…goodness… Okay, it isn’t healthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we usually bike to the restaurant to make us feel a little better about the indulgence.(That makes it okay, right? ;)) The skillet has a biscuit, sausage patties, eggs, potatoes, and sausage gravy oh my. We love that the restaurant is in Hollywood, since there are hardly any decent restaurants in Hollywood. The skillet is huge, so we share it and sometimes don’t even finish it(even if we are biking okay?). There is also a nice bike rack outside for those of us that want to follow our lead.

This is one of the best diners in Broward County. The food is always consistent and the service is terrific, with amazing servers who are friendly and attentive. I have never had a bad meal here, and love their wraps, mozzarella sticks, shakes, and pecan pie.

I have been coming here for the last 3 months. It is the best diner in Dade and Broward counties. The food is well done and the prices are lower than in other places. My favorites are the omelettes! Have tried almost all of them. Pancakes are not the best here though. Will keep coming and trying other dishes.

Ehh. that’s really the best word I can come up with to describe this place. It got good reviews so we decided to try it out, late night. The milkshake I ordered was good. But the food came out slightly wrong and both of our orders were just kind of bland. We were hoping for something yummy and scrumptious but ended up a little disappointed.

A throwback to the age of diners. Clean and the staff is friendly. Never closes. Only a 10 minute drive from the beach. If you have never been to a diner here’s your chance. Skip the chain fast food joints and be part of history.

Server was great, but food… ordered fried chicken. I got the chicken fried and when had a bite was still frozen cold inside… Never will go there again…

You walk into this place and it’s set up in sort of an ‘L’ shape I was taken to the back of the place in what you would consider the small part of the ‘L’. When I got back there in minutes you knew you were in a place like«Cheers» Everybody knew your name type of place. Even though we were visitors it didn’t feel like it all because here came Annie with a smile and quick stop to ask about drinks and water. When she came back to take our order she did it with such cheer as if she knew us and had seen us yesterday. She even made some modifications with meals to make sure we all had what we wanted and saved us a few bucks. The food came and everything was cooked to perfection! It was a great home like meal. Crispy bacon was REALLY crispy and it delicious. One of the sides was apple sauce. I hadn’t had apple sauce in a long time but what was a real treat is it was real apple sauce. Nope nothing out of a jar, REAL apple sauce. It was a first for me, normally I only get the store bough jar. Everything was scrumptious! Now back to Annie. I promise even if the food was bad you would come here for just toast and water in order to let her sunshiny personality brighten up your day. She’s such a wonderful lady and even stopped to take a picture with me. Thank you so much Annie for making us feel like we were at home at Jack’s! :-)

Late night, on Halloween, we were the only people on the place at first. The service-spot on. The food… spectacular! We had typical diner fare. Onion rings-crispy and delicious, perfectly cooked eggs and the the short stack even came with real syrup. Didn’t think it was possible in S. FL but they completely delivered!

We’ve been going to Jacks for years and it’s your fairly basic diner. The food is average, good enough to come back for breakfast once in a while. The service is also good and they do get the order right most of the time. A lot of selection and breakfast served all day.

One of the Unilocal reviewers kindly recommended Jack’s to me when I mentioned that it was hard for me to find good fried chicken near Hollywood. I have already been a Jack’s customer for a couple of years, but almost exclusively for breakfast. I tried the fried chicken and it was very good. The mashed potatoes were also home made and very good. The beet salad was fresh, but unusual with oil and dill, I believe. Not great, but OK. I returned a couple of days later for lunch and had split pea soup, a chicken salad sandwich(made in house) and iced tea. All were very good and priced right at $ 7.99. Most of the wait staff has been here for a while and they are very good. Thank you Jack’s.

Dinner tonight. Ordered Hot Roast Beef. Told server we want Rye Toast instead of white bread. She says that she has to charge extra for the toast. Asked if we order a hamburger with toasted roll would she charge extra? No, she said. If we order a hamburger on rye toast would she charge extra? She said no. Calmly, we said that this was stupid and not logical. Ok, we will have a patty melt. Then two Hollywood police officers came to our table and said that we must leave now. That we were not being served. What would you have done? What would you say as we were escorted out the door. We have been going to Jacks for over 50 years. How can anyone in the food service industry treat a customer like this? When the police came to our table, we thought that they were kidding us. Please tell us what to do.

My sister and I came here at 6am to eat, after getting off a flight. I hadn’t slept all night, and I wanted a hot turkey sandwich desperately. Was told they didn’t have gravy or mashed potatoes. Wahhhhhh! So I ordered the club. I appreciated that the club was made with real roast turkey but it was kind of dry and just not that good. In fact, at 6am, they didn’t have most lunch items which was why we only got breakfast menus and I had to ask for a club. I think a 24 hour diner should have their entire menu for the entire 24 hours. They did have delicious French fries though! I dipped them in mayo, that came on the side of my sandwich, even though it already had mayo on it, and I actually asked for a side of ranch but never got it. So the fries in the mayo were amazingly delicious. The star of my 6am lunch. HA! Also of note: the area where this diner is located seems super sketchy. All sorts of crazy street toughs pacing up and down the streets. Plus several weirdos in the restaurant too. But hey, it was open at 6am. Wouldn’t be compelled to return.
