Never ordering from this place again. First of all this place is a 5 – 7 min drive from my house but it took 1:50 to have my food delivered? When I called to inquire about my food. The girl cut me off asking me my address and saying the driver left already and hung up in my face. And I didn’t get everything I ordered. Instead of calling me to tell me they didn’t have what I ordered they just gave me extra banana pudding, that I didn’t ask for. The food was just okay, not superb. Never ordering here again

Shut the freaking front door! Sweetheartz BBQ know a lil something about good ass BBQ. I ordered the small end rib dinner $ 12.99 which comes with 2 sides and rice. I ordered the mac and cheese and baked beans. Mac and cheese got some skills. Mac and cheese have to come right because I AMTHEQUEEN of mac and cheese. So it’s pretty tough to meet or exceed my expectations. But it’s aight… the baked beans… hmmm not so good. the rice, tasty. The ribs, good. But the true winner is this damn loaf of a cornbread. It’s just done right. You taste the love… so, sweetheart, you almost got my heart … gonna take some time for us to get use to one another. But I see a beautiful relationship in the making. …

This was a horrible experience. The food was cold. And not so great Some of the orders had more of things then others. Didn’t get cornbread. Got white bread that I could have just grabbed from my bread from home. Never will I order from here again.

My wife and I have been looking for a good place to get BBQ and let me tell you this was the best BBQ we have had in quite some time. The wings were spectacular and the pulled pork sandwich was out of this world! This place is amazing!

I grew up eating amazing BBQ in North Carolina. I had given up on BBQ in South Florida until I found Sweetheartz. The chicken is great, the ribs are tender and juicy then the BBQ sauce itself is tangy sweet that you’ll want to lick the plate when you’re done. I’m hooked.

Sweeteheartz just opened their first dine-in restaurant location 2602 N. 22nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL33020. Plenty of parking. OK, now about the food. I’m not one to exaggerate, but I have to say without a doubt… BESTRIBSEVER!!! Also had collard greens, corn, mac and cheese, pecan pie, banana pudding. Oh my, all I have to do now is go jog about 20 miles and I’ll be fine. Good luck in your new location to Fonda and her sister who have opened this business. Started out of their home a year and a half ago, I see great success for them in their new location. I’m so glad we found you. Cheers!

literally just ordered from here and it was pretty awesome food. My mom recently moved out so my dad and I haven’t had a good homecooked meal in a good amount of time and we both work so we’re usually too tired to cook. I was thoroughly impressed by the food, it was great! The corn on the cob was easily my favorite part and after I finished mine — 5 minutes later — i’m wondering where did I put my corn so that I could eat it! haha next time i’ll order more.

Food was excellent! We ordered the Rib Dinner w/fried sweet potato, mac & cheese; Tiana Combo & Kids Meal w/wings. Everything was awesome. Did I mention they deliver? I was initially disappointed about how long it took for the food to arrive, but when I googled the address I realized how far she had to drive to deliver. Worth the wait. We will order again.

Shortends dinner with a double side of collards where delish — rib ends were tender and juicy and the collards were flavorful and had texture, not mushy! I ordered the banana pudding but they were out, so I tried the pecan pie — pecans were crunchy and filling had a great full flavor, but not overly sweet. I ordered online via their website and they called right back to confirm and let me know about being out of the banana pudding which I thought was nice. The menu is pretty limited but, they’re good at what they do so why mess up a good thing?

This place could use some extreme work. Pros: they delivered in the rain Cons: missing dessert, missing drinks, the fries where extremly soggy, the food that was supposed to be hot was room temp at best. The potatoe salad was warm and inedible. $ 30 plus dollars later and im packing the kids in the car in the rain to McDonald’s

My delivery took nearly four hours to arrive and the driver had no excuses when they knocked on the door. We had alresdy been to the grocery store and back by the time it arrived. The food was obviously cold and it was not even what we ordered. I really had a craving for cornbread too but they forgot it. We will NEVER order from this place again. Happy Eat24 refunded the money… should have at least given some explanation for their lack of customer service and delivery skills… terrible!

FIRST, this is NOT a restaurant. They do catering and delivery. SECOND, they operate from their home. I only say this because when I followed the address I was surprised and I thought I was in the wrong place, not being from the area. THIRD, the food was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised … The chicken was pretty damn good. It really was. I enjoyed it, a lot. The ribs were a little better than decent. They were smothered in a barbecue sauce that was pretty good. The ribs were meaty and most of them were tender. The mac and cheese was pretty good … Nothing special about the rice and beans … Cole slaw was cole slaw … The pecan pie played to rave reviews. The cobbler was good but not as good as the pecan pie. Please understand where you are going to go to pickup your food and you will be ok after that but for me … it was a BiiiiGGGGG surprise! They need to put napkins, forks and spoons in the bag. That would have made eating the meal easier. It helped that they called me to see if I was still picking up my order. The truth of the matter is, I was lost as bad as a blind bat with a seeing eye dog. The call helped me find them and honestly … it was worth it.

Even though eat24 sent in my order late, I was still happy with the friendly service and the great food, it’s been a long time since I have had some great soul food! Next time I will call sweethearts directly.

Update on my review. I had one of the owners give me a call. She was sincerely apologetic about my experience with my order and made things right. I tried them again this evening and WOW. Fresh, hot, and delicious! Everything was falling off the bone. I was very impressed. This is the type of BBQ I grew up on! Thanks so much, definitely will be eating here in the future :)

7 Sisters BBQ lives on!.. For those of you not over 40 years old and from or familiar with the Carvers Ranches, Miami Gardens Estates or Pembroke Park neighborhoods this means nothing to you, but it means something good for us locals who grew up on 7 Sisters food. It was a great Soul Food restaurant on Pembroke Rd. off of S.W. 56th Ave. for many years that’s the closest thing to a «Landmark» as we’ll ever have around these parts. Sweeteheartz is the only thing that remains of it. If you’re partial to or even just curious about trying old-school Southern black folk cooking, especially BBQ, and better yet the old-school Florida black folk cooking I grew up with you HAVE to try Sweeteheartz, I guarantee you’ll become a regular customer. I’m not even kidding. It’s a small family owned, little known yet, delivery only business so we only recently found them. As far as delivering is concerned their delivery area is a 20 mile radius which means most of my Unilocal friends can also get their hands on this good stuff. They can be found on Eat24 or their own website. I have to mention that I build websites for a living and was surprised at how well done, functional and user-friendly their site is for a small local business. After ordering for the first time this past week, the food was so good we decided to impress my Florida Cracker parents by having them fix our Father’s day Supper. (For those of you down here from outside the South I’ll say again, Florida Crackers and Southern black folks cook and eat almost the exact same thing) For Father’s Day we got their Chicken & Ribs, Coleslaw, Collard Greens, Macaroni N Cheese and Cornbread and everything was honestly really really good. The Ribs were cooked perfectly. Tender and delicious as hell juicy. The Chicken was moist and really delicious, it’s not that easy to pull white meat Chicken off the grill this moist, we were all impressed. Very few places these days selling BBQ actually make the sauce themselves I’m thinking because there’s little need to, they buy it and hopefully hook it up which I’m guessing Sweeteheartz does also but it’s hooked up and sweet and damn good. All the sides were very good also, the Cornbread is moist(which is a battle for anyone who’s ever cooked it themselves), really creamy Coleslaw and the Mac N Cheese is straight up Southern black style, the best LOL. They are not normally open on Sunday’s but made an exception for Father’s Day even including a $ 5 Home Depot Gift Card for Dads! I think the biggest compliment to their food is the fact that every time we eat with my parents they force us to take some leftovers home, they actually get pissed if we don’t. We usually go back and forth for like 20 minutes over this every time. After this meal my step dad and mom both said, as they always do «let’s put something together for you guys», I answered«no it’s okay, it’s for you guys» and they both said«Okay!» smiled and it was over. I didn’t expect that, I didn’t say anything but went home pretty bummed out :\ Bottom line, my Wife is from San Diego and I have for years now bragged to her about the type of food(and how good it is) I grew up on here and I finally found some folks that backed up my story with their cooking. Thank you Sweetheartz for an awesome Father’s day and doing something I have not been able to do on my own so far, making my California girl think I’m a total badass now ;P

What a difference a couple days makes! Today was a home run for us and Sweeteheartz on Father’s Day. I haven’t been feeling well for some time, but lately I have been particularly ill. It was very stressful with Father’s Day approaching and trying to plan something nice for my Father-in-law. I wasn’t sure how I was going to do all the shopping and get everything ready for the usual Sunday barbecue, It became clear that I was going to have to find another way to celebrate. Sweeteheartz was fresh in my mind after the other day as it was really good food. The nice thing for us is this style of barbecue is exactly the kind of food this family loves. So we talked and Hubby was thinking the same thing. He really loved everything we ordered the first day. So today, I put my order early and sent a note that I didn’t need it right away. I wanted to make sure they had time to prepare everything as it was a pretty big order. This time I ordered 2 whole chickens(1 with two sides, cole slaw and potato salad), and again, The Tarpley Family Rib Meal(Mac and Cheese with Baked Beans-and Cornbread). Wow. We had a lot of food. Everything was fantastic! My father-in-law was eating so fast and barely said a word the whole time. It was obvious he was pleased with the food. Now, my mother-in-law is another story. When she loves something, she has to talk about it with each bite noting something wonderful she noticed with each morsel. She loved the way the mac and cheese tasted and the crust on the ribs where it is slightly charred on the edges. She pulled off a little sliver and held it up remarking, that this is her favorite part… and then she went on and on about how great the sauce was. I was kind of blushing as if I had made it myself… except, well, I didn’t! The really funny thing was when she commented on how the Collard Greens tasted because she doesn’t really care for Greens. LOL Hubby was also very happy with the Greens. The other day must have been a fluke because these were excellent. I have to confess, I didn’t try them, not that I needed to. My plate was full of deliciousness and I packed on the chicken and ribs, beans, corn bread, cole slaw-oh and mmmm mac and cheese and still somehow managed to finish it all. Thank you to Sweeteheartz for taking away the stress, and bringing us a delicious home cooked meal that we all loved making this a really wonderful Father’s Day barbecue!

This is the best soul food I’ve had in years. And the peach cobbler is to die for. Me an my family enjoy have this take out at lease once a week. Keep up the good work.

A barbecue sandwich on pieces of regular white bread. Not my idea of soul food. A quarter of an ear of corn, 1 small muffin size cornbread not what I expected in quantity. The corn was good. But without the extra barbecue sauce that I requested and the fact it was on bread has not really giving me a chance to review the pork sandwich. I might try the ribs and give them one more chance but not really inclined to want to do that based on this meal. Delivery was quick.
