It was good. Portion was small for the price. Pretty pricey for a breakfast place our waitress was rude. But overall I would not go back there.

The food is good and the place is clean. Service is horrible. As I write this, three tables that were seated after us have already had their order taken, by OUR same waitress. These aren’t young girls, they are experienced waitresses that should know better.

Wow. What a let down. Surviving on old people and one time visitors. This place used to be something special… those days are over. Went in for dinner tonight. Here’s the run down. SERVICE: Slow and indifferent. The only guy that seems to hustle is the busser who sets you up with water and menus when you get there. The other three servers on the floor just seem lost. Of special note is the guy with the poor dye job wearing the blue plastic gloves. Never once in the 45 minutes we were there did those gloves get changed. He served food, handled money, took orders, wiped his face, cleaned a table, and hugged a guest(touching her hair) all with that same pair of gloves on. I watched close. The gloves never got changed. My god man wash your hands. Food piled up in the window and got cold while each server looked out for their own stuff. No team work running food so us and those around us ended up with cold eats. FOOD: Meh. Chicken soup was sour(rancid) and the red clam chowder was flavorless. And at $ 4.50 for a saucer full it was a rip-off. Kids pasta and meat ball was served cold with terrible sauce straight from can. Turkey Reuben had maybe 2 slices of meat on it that was dry served with watery coleslaw. Chicken salad sandwich was good but not enough to save the meal. THEPLACE: way to many tables smashed together giving it an overcrowded feel that is not nice. Tables wiped down yet still sticky… change or rinse that rag people. Toaster constantly burning bread and filling the place with smoke. clean out that crumb tray! Also the whole place could use a good dusting. It was our last time at Roberts. With GRAMPAS, LESTERS, and MOONLIGHT near by do yourself a favor and goto one of them. Skip ROBERTS.

Passing through on a connecting flight, a friend and I decided to have some breakfast in town instead of the airport. The reviews looked good and so we went for it. I guess our tastes in LA are simply different. The breakfast, although huge, was low on flavor. The grits tasted of tap water and not not much else. The hash had very little flavor altogether and was a tad burnt. Not that, oh how I love a little crust on my hash, but actually burnt. Biscuits were super dense and not very flaky. Perhaps the best part was the coffee and the pleasant server, but next time I’m passing through, I’ll keep going to another spot.

This is the LOCAL mecca for delicious bagels and food! Loved the friendly family oriented crowds and the generous well made fresh food. The servers have organized chaos and are clearly fun to watch as you wait for your food. There are no reservations, no lists for table. You literally stand in line and wait for the next table to open up, old school with respect. Everyone is polite and friendly and guide first timers to the old school style. LOVED taking my mom who enjoyed everything she ate. I had a cheesy omelette, a perfectly toasted bagel, while my husband made his own omelette and said the grits were excellent. The coffee was hot and strong, as it should be. Tables are scattered everywhere and depending on your parties number can be moved to accommodate the group. There are also counter seats for those small parties of one or two. Parking was tricky and the mall strip is awkward to find, but totally worth the trip. Can’t wait to back in the area to come in and see France my server again!

Based upon Unilocal reviews we went to Robert’s for breakfast. Everything was quite good. Service was excellent. Pricey but who cares

Probably the best omelette I have had in quite some time. I love mine with onions and peppers, and I love when the vegetables crunch. Yum. Maybe it was the fact that I had just finished my morning exercise on a Saturday morning, but this was a good experience. My appetite was satisfied. My waitress was very sweet. She was very concerned about my well being and checked in on me frequently. You can tell a lot of regulars come here, as they were holding warm conversations with the employees. That’s the sign of a good restaurant. I like to make it down to Hollywood Beach to get my jogs in, and this place will be a good option to stop for breakfast afterward. I would strongly recommend the omelettes. Very good!

Great food on the expensive side for breakfast. Not a good place to bring the kids. Asked to change a pancake on the kids menu for an egg, waitress said they won’t make exceptions. My 3 year old wouldn’t eat the pancake. I was surprised they would not make a small change. We won’t return with our kids.

Breakfast was delicious, inexpensive, and quick. The waitresses were delightful and didn’t mind us hanging around for a bit when we were done as we killed time before going to the airport. A great gem. There wasn’t a wait when we got there around 10:30 but there was quite a crowd when we left around noon.

Overly expensive, underwhelming and boring breakfast sandwiches top my list of issues. Went in on a Saturday morning, packed house so I understand the wait but when you order 2 Bacon Egg and Cheese rolls to go, there is no call for me waiting 25min. Staff was nice but charged me $ 29 for 2 sandwiches and 2 fountain sodas. The sandwich I received was no where near worth $ 11 each. It was a plain boring roll, no butter, no crunch and what I would describe as adequate bacon. Hash Browns were ok, but lacked that«salt to taste» part of the recipe. Home fries were better but overall, very disappointed.

First time here for dinner. In with friends on Wednesday at 7PM. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy and mixed veges. $ 10.95. Meatloaf kind of flat and soft. Not much flavor. Sliced London broil with mashed potatoes, gravy and spinach $ 11.95. Just OK, nothing special. Black bean veggie burger, loaded, with cold slaw. $ 8.50. Burger was good but slaw was excellent. Service was good.

My favorite place for comfort food. Fantastic service. Busy on Sundays, come early! It is a local’s secret dining experience for twenty two years. I love Robert’s!

Pretty good breakfast/brunch spot. I would rate it 3.5 stars so rounded up it makes 4. I went with my mother and sister, they both enjoyed their meals– they had a Philly cheesesteak and a chicken parmigiano special meal. my sister said her fries and chicken was a little bland. needed salt and ketchup to make it better. I went for the breakfast custom omelette and that was pretty good. I would probably recommend some family to come here to be different from Dennys and IHOP.

Visiting Hollywood on a Sunday morning, our search for mid-morning breakfast options nearby was not being successful. Every place we found seemed to be closed Sundays. Since we were headed back to Ft. Lauderdale, we expanded our search and found Robert’s was on our route back, and had a pretty good reputation. Being in the touristy areas, we also were happy to find a place with regular(free) parking. When we got there we sat straight down, but it was definitely getting busy(looked like a small wait by the time we left). Started with coffees all around, steaming hot, and relatively smooth. I would have preferred a larger cup. It might have helped the wait staff keep up. Though I found the two ladies we worked with were just fine, and what I’d expect from a busy diner. Clearly the place was full of regulars, but we still received friendly service and smiles from Mary. Being in Texas, Nova(lox) aren’t as commonly ordered as they seemingly are here, with the connection between this part of the country and the Northeast. Since I could get pancakes and eggs back home, me and my dining partner went with the Nova Platter that we had seen served to the adjacent table, served with a bagel, cream cheese, capers, a couple slices of perfectly ripe large tomato, red onion, bell pepper, and cucumber, on a bed of lettuce. It allowed us to craft our own bites, and made it easier to regulate how much of the carby bagel I had. Our third ordered the«2×4» plate(2 each of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs any style), whose only weak spot was bacon that was a bit more tough than crispy. My initial thought was that the prices could have been a little cheaper, but then I remembered that our choice of coffee, tea, or soda was included with our entrees. So, as long as you’re not a water-only drinker, it’s really not that bad. And my lightly-brined smoked salmon was quite tasty and took care of breakfast and lunch for me. Nothing mind-blowing here, but clearly a local fave with consistent service. 3.65 stars

Roberts Restaurant is exactly what a diner restaurant should be. It has really good food, large portions, and great friendly, loaded with humor, service. I had their steak, eggs and grits. All really good. The steak especially surprised me as they had taken the time to do a very nice garlic rub on it; hence full in flavor and being something most diner restaurants won’t spend the extra time in doing. My server, Mary, turned out to be the epitome of what a diner waitress should be. She knew the menu inside and out, was quick about everything as well as full of good humor and wit. The restaurant is open 364 days a year, having only missed out during Hurricane Wilma. They had opened that day, but when the roof began to leak and give way, closed. The restaurant suffered a lot of damage but was soon remodeled, but though having been so recently remodeled still looks somewhat dated in appearance, especially with a 20 something year big boxy looking old Sharp television hanging from the wall. The crowd here is mostly area locals as well as being dyed in the wool faithful patrons. The menu is very much diner, exactly as one would expect, but in addition to the menu is a board listing of daily specials.

This place is very clean and has a jewish deli type vibe. I thought the eggs were good along with the biscuits. The home fries were a bit dry. The cakes looked really good and we were thinking about ordering some but then they told me Sara Leigh sends them and they defrost the cakes. Because I’m used to places like lesters and Peter pans, it was a bit disappointing. The bagels and breads are also out sourced. The main problem with this place is the prices. An omelette with cheese is over 10 dollars. I tried to get a veggie omelette and take out two of the ingredients and replace it with cheese so I wasn’t paying an exorbitant amount of money for an omelette, but they refused which didn’t make much sense. They ended up forgetting my cheese in the omelette and just scrambled the cheese in so it was more of a scrambler. It was still good. Overall this place isn’t worth the price.

I’ve had Robert’s bookmarked forever since it’s close to the house and looked like a great cheap breakfast spot. Problem is, I already have a cheap(and good) breakfast spot that is close to the house so I’ve never really found the initiative to check out Robert’s…until now. My parents were in town and flying out and I suggested we try Robert’s for a quick breakfast — as it was, we were in and out in about 40mins at 9am on a Saturday… not bad. I was honestly expecting a slightly grimy diner feel but the restaurant itself was pretty nice — clean, bright and not at all unwelcoming. Tables are a little bit jammed together but not in an overly uncomfortable way. We each ordered different things — eggs benedict(skip this, I hate that cheap hollandaise sauce places like this serve), 2 eggs — 2 pancakes — 2 bacon — 2 sausage combo, pancakes with a side of strawberries and nuts, and the nova with eggs. The food itself was good. 3 stars probably with the price being the major draw. The service however was 5 stars. It looked like only 2 servers were taking care of the place(which was pretty packed) and they handled it like superstars. Glasses refilled, checked on multiple times, order taken quickly… it was very impressive how our server handled it all! Will I be back? Probably… I usually only rate places 4 stars if I’m sure I’ll be back. It’s a close toss up though between Robert’s and my usual place. Robert’s wins for easier parking though!
