This was a great find. We wanted to have dinner before the show at the Pantages Theater so I turned to Unilocal. As always, Unilocal came through. Found a wonder place here. Mentioned we were going to the theater and everything was put into motion. The wait staff was fantastic. Seemed like everyone there was at our service. Especially Marco. Wonderful wonderful. He helped us order by giving us great advice. Suggested a couple items that were great. We had Calamari and bruschetta to start. Tyhe main entre salmon, lasagna and two salads that the four of us shared. We had plenty of food and all of it was wonder. Only disappointment is we didn’t have time for dessert, but that was on us, we didn’t really give ourself enough time to begin with. Thanks you again for a fine meal before a great show. Diffenitly and come back. Thanks Marco

The food is Terrible. Seriously, where do all these good reviews come from? These people who left good reviews must be using Mac and cheese out of a box for a pasta reference. Service was good, but who cares if the food was that bad. Everything here has to come directly out of a can, and then just heated up. There are a million other places for Italian in the city, go somewhere else. I will never eat here again. I’d rather it olive garden, which is saying something because I hate the olive garden.

I can’t believe how great this place is. I came here late on a weeknight, 9:30 or so and they close at 10. They were extremely welcoming even when we said we were still waiting for one more person. We went ahead and ordered first and received complimentary WARM, TOASTED bread with an olive spread. There are way too many restaurants these days that give you cold bread so maybe I had low expectations, but it was great bread and I later found out they bake it themselves. We got the burrata appetizer which was a huge portion and the burrata and tomatoes were all perfect. Then we both had pasta, a pesto with tagliatelle substituted for angel hair, and the spaghetti with meatballs(polpettes). The flavors were divine and the noodles cooked to perfection. My meatballs were a little luke-warm and I brought it up to someone, then immediately had my plate taken away and at least 4 employees, including the owner and the chef, come to apologize, ask if I wanted a completely new plate, and assure me it would not happen again. I was blown away by the service, which had already been good to begin with. They brought me new meatballs(homemade, delicious) within 10 minutes and the owner came back to chat with us for a few minutes, and even offered my friend(who came after 10:00) the menu; he declined, but all 3 of us received complimentary glasses of prosecco on our next visit. The next night(literally), I ordered pasta to go and again, the service was impeccable even on the phone with the waitress making suggestions and recommendations and when I went in to pick up the food they were super friendly as well. Really really incredible spot and I’m so glad I found it!

My wife and I had 6:15 reservations and arrived at 6. We were seated right away. Started off with the bruschetta, it was really good. We had the spinach ravioli and the chicken parmigiana. Both were the right size portions and were delicious. Our server Marco was great. Definitely would go back.

The service here was fantastic. Marco was very nice and attentive. I love they have a Unilocal coupon, the free bruschetta and soda was nice. I had the vodka pasta with grilled chicken. The chicken was mixed into the pasta. It was very good! There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try. Their menu options are fantastic. My friend had the daily special which was gnocchi with goat cheese and lamb. The gnocchi was very smooth and the flavored were impressive. She would highly recommend. Both dishes were perfectly filling/great portions.

another absolutely FANTASTIC meal… there was a steak special crafted by sergio the chef, and it was simply amazing. this is such a nice place to come. i have never had a bad bite here. instead, everything is totally reliable, enjoyable and simply delicious mauro the manager is quintessential italian and ultra charming at that. you feel like you are eating at the home of a good friend, and indeed mauro and sergio are truly genuine enough that this is true. was here with a friend from new york. he loved it. i loved it. and you will love it too. impeccable and enjoyable. just go, enjoy and have a truly lovely meal. you will be happier and fuller for it! ;-)

Actually really excited to write this review because this restaurant deserves all 5 stars. Had an amazing date night here thanks to the staff! To start, I made a reservation but it seemed like it wasn’t needed as the place wasn’t crowded on a Wednesday night. The free parking in the back is a major plus! Saves time looking for street parking and worrying about adding money in the meter. Walking in through the back provided a beautiful scenic view. Their outdoor furniture was inviting and the tent decorated with string lights overlooked the restaurant covered the heat and humidity. I usually don’t prefer to sit outdoors but with this restaurant, I would definitely choose outdoors next time. My date and I ordered the Bruschetta Classica with mozzarella cheese and the Antipasto for starters. Ah I absolutely loved the imported meats from the antipasto tray. For $ 15, the meats weren’t too salty and it was a great start to fulfill my appetite. For my entrée, I ordered the Penne alla Vodka with spaghetti noodles. They are pretty lenient in letting you substitute with their menu. I really liked their house made pasta. This dish just the pasta I was craving! My date ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It wasn’t anything special but it was a decent dinner dish. Large portion and very filling. Cocktails were really good here too. For a somewhat casual place, they make really great drinks! Their service was impeccable. Numerous employees made us feel like home with their attention to our table. I also noticed that they had a really clean bathroom. I would definitely give this restaurant all it’s credit and say it’s a 5 star experience.

Service: I never really write about service, let alone start off my review with it so it really was a exceptional case. Our server, Marco, definitely made the night as he was super accommodating and provided us with many complimentary services as we came for my friends 21st birthday. With a check-in on Unilocal comes a free soda, but he also provided one for my friend, along with on the house birthday cake and to our surprise a bottle of Moscato at the end to top off the celebration. It was beyond generous of him! Food: The food is comfort and hearty traditional Italian pastas, of which I got the 4 cheese gnocchi. It was rich, and delicious and I really enjoyed the fact it didn’t give me a food coma or make me feel uncomfortably full afterwards as expected. Prices are towards the higher end(16⁄17 for entrée) but its typical of classier restaurants as such. Ambience: At about 9pm on a Saturday night, we were one of the few groups there. The outside patio is very classy, trendy and overall a great setting and mood for a nice dinner. Good for groups upto 10 but can possibly accommodate for more! Best part: parking is free, a rarity in such a hustling bustling Hollywood area. Highly recommended!

Came here for a birthday dinner and was amazed with this restaurant. The patio is so pretty, the food was good, and the service was amazing(SO to our amazing waiter Marco)! Parking: Lot in the back with free parking — amazing because its so hard to find parking in that area! Ambience: classy, mood lighting, romantic, yet trendy Food: Pretty good! I had the pesto linguini, which was really good with the lemon drop cocktail which was amazing. There were also plenty of vegetarian options so it was perfect for my group of friends. Service: Attentive, helpful, and fun! Our server Marco was so nice and helpful, he even gave us a moscato on the house and a birthday tiramisu for my friend! Overall, will come here again and will definitely recommend it to a friend! One of the most fun restaurant outings I’ve had in a while!

Used to frequent Fabiolus a few years back. Since the remodel, I think this place changed… and not for the better. I mean, it’s good. But that’s just it. Good. Prior to the remodel I thought it was great. Prices are a bit steep and the food(like I’ve said before) is just«good.» Wine selection is definitely better than good, so I appreciate that. Ordered the calamari and it was so chewy that it felt like what I would imagine eating those rubber bands that bind broccoli stalks together would be like. No flavor. Terribly chewy. And definitely not worth the menu price. So disappointed. Never before have I left calamari on the plate to be taken away. Main course between the two of us– spaghetti with meatballs and the chicken and spinach risotto. Again, nothing spectacular. Good, but not great. Overall, too pricey and just not that good for me to want to return. Cute-ish atmosphere… but, meh. That’s all.

I had high expectations for this place. I walked by on my way to Tender Greens one night and thought I would give it a try. I went here for dinner over the weekend. Thankfully there wasn’t a wait. The street parking in the area is pretty much non existent, and we drove around the block first before giving into the valet service they have out front. The price was $ 7 for valet parking. I did check-in on Unilocal and got that free lemonade. I was told that it’s fresh. I actaully enjoyed it, but my friend thought it was too sweet. Bread was brought to our table to start with, it was a bit cold so i’m guessing they keep it in the fridge… but should have heat it up a bit. The dip was pretty good. We ordered the Calamari, and Bruschetta for our appetizer. I can appreciate the Calamari because it wasn’t salty and the dip gave it just the right amount of spice and flavor. I thought the Breschetta was delicious, with mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. We then shared the lasagna. I was disappointed with the lasagna because it wasn’t hot. I felt as if they just took it out of the fridge and heated it up in the microwave, which still wasn’t quite hot… just warm. I think that if they baked it in the oven, or brought it to us hot… it could have been very good. The service was great. Our waiter, an italian guy(with the accent and all) was great. He was able to help us choose items off the menu. The other staff members kept our waters filled. The price was reasonable for italian food.

Ordered delivery. It arrived in an hour, which was expected. The prices are pretty steep and the food is just meh. The calamaretti was OK. Nothing fancy given the $ 14 price tag. The lasagna was very disappointing. A 2.5 inch square piece is all you get for $ 16! That is a little hard to swallow… pun intended. The flavor was overpowered by the herbs. Not enjoyable. Sadly, I will not be ordering from here again.

Very very slow service. Took 10 minutes to get service, another 10 minutes to get your table bread, over an hour to get your food. Don’t come here if you are in a hurry or hungry. OK, so that was before our food came. After complaining to the manager, he said because our dishes were complicated. I didn’t know that ordering lasagna and spaghetti are complicated dishes in a Italian restaurant. So our food finally came and the pastas were not even cooked. Next, we asked for the bill and got the wrong bill. That got the two waitresses arguing and shouting at each other. To add icing on the cake, when we tried to leave the tiny parking lot, the valet person drove a SUV right up to our car even though he saw us driving towards the exit. He essentially blocked the narrow path and we had to leave the car and argue with him who had the right of way? Don’t go there unless you are ready to kill yourself. I’m still having a stomachache 10 hours later after eating undercooked pasta!

had a FABULOUS(and i’m not one to even capitalize much!) small dinner here with a friend who was in the area and said she needed to lie down and have a glass of wine! she said there were couches in the back area where she could lay back and chill so lo and behold… i went to lay back and chill. this was friday night and the place inside was hopping. i guess only the drunks like moi who don’t really mind the crisp cold air were outside but it was fine! nice and private and not at all crowded out back. we had a salad with super light olive oil dressing, the calamari fritte(i wish that came in supersize… ’cause i woulda ordered two…) and a pizza with chicken sausage and radicchio, which was suggested by the super lovely manager, mauro, who is as authentic italiano as they come! you know usually i just shove pizza in my mouth going«mmm thwis ithhh so goood…» but don’t really get too many details about what i’m chowing down on. this time i did have to ask because it was SO good, and that way i know what to get again… chicken sausage with radicchio! this was on homemade crust, they do it scratch from flour. the service was lovely, and mauro just so superb and so on top of things. i met one of the chefs, sergio, who happens to be his brother! overall everyone just great, and everything just so good. absolutely on point which makes this place a simply great choice for a perfect meal and evening. this place makes me love italian food the way i love italian men i mean errr… uhmmm. well anyways i’ma gonna come back soon! you should too… ;-)

A cold rainy day in Los Angeles yesterday I needed some good lunch to cheer me up! Of course the place to get that warm feeling is Fabiolus! Went in at lunch time and got a great table inside. Great lunch special which was a pasta dish with a mixture of seafood. Fantastic fresh vibrant meal! Followed by a great cappuccino. The perfect lunch before going back to the office for a nice nap :-)

Dinner(3 stars) New Year’s Eve dinner with my partner and neighbor, just before going to The Arclight for a movie. Parking in the back was easy, and getting a table was quick, and everything else was a long wait. Maybe because I was concerned with the time since we had tickets for an 8:30 pm showing, but I had to wave the guy to get us a menu, then he told another guy to come over. We got wine and soda, and fried calamari for starters. The pinot noir was good, and the calamari crispy, but lacked in flavor. The sauce was OK. We ordered lasagna, seafood linguini, and four cheese gnocchi. After a period of waiting, they arrived with different plates, none of which we ordered. Finally the lasagna and linguini arrived, but no gnocchi. The mussels and clams were a bit on the cool side, not the warm dish I was expecting. The guy offered cheese … really??? On seafood linguini??? At least the pasta was steaming, so I knew that it was going to be warm. Then finally the gnocchi arrived, as we were half way through the lasagna and linguini. The espresso was good, at least it arrived quickly. Is it worth returning? Hmm???

Nice little place! I plan to go again(one day but not soon) to make a better judgement, but the food was just meh! We got the sausage and onion pizza. I think we should have said go easy on the onions. I LOVE cheese, but there was too much cheese for me this time. Good thing is they use rich authentic cheese… It was just too heavy for my liking. Be prepared to sit outside. It’s a cute place without a few walls! Lol :)
