This restaurant is fairly new to the area and I see it all to the time as I drive home from work. After a hike with my kids we decided we would check it out. My kids are fairly picky eaters and usually just order beans or beans and rice when we go to a Mexican restaurant and that is what they ordered here. I ordered the carnitas with rice and beans. None of us were disappointed with our choices. The kids loved the beans and rice. My carnitas were tender and juicy and tasted fantastic. The rice was very similar to how my grandma from Mexico used to make hers. The staff was very friendly and treated us very well. The prices are about the same as Rancheritos or Betos. I will definitely go back and try something else.

I saw this pop up on Unilocal and decided that anyplace that billed themselves as «Home of the Footlong Burrito» deserved a visit to check it out. We seem to have a glut of Mexican fast food places around the valley, so anything they can do to differentiate themselves is appreciated – at least by me. Sure, this joint has the standard list of burritos and other dishes, but as the name suggests, they also do moles. The real star of the show, at least in mm mind, is the footlong burrito concept. That sucker has everything in the world in it. You’ve got your beans and your pico and your guac, and then you’ve got beef and chicken and bacon and a few other things I forgot to write down. I’m determined to go back and try it. Plus, if you can eat TWO of them in under 20 minutes, they’ll give you a week’s worth for free – I’m told you can schedule the week, because my guess is that after eating two massive burritos in one sitting, you won’t want a burrito for a while. I’m calling it the Double Big Burrito Food Challenge. I think the breakfast version(with eggs and potatoes and the like) is just under $ 10(each), while the dinner version descried about was just under $ 13(each). The place is clean, and I need to mention the owner. She’s super friendly, and the cook too. Both ladies were making things happen, smiling, joking, and having a good time. Both will help you through the menu if you’re not familiar with this type of Mexican fast food place. There’s also plenty of parking, and they’re open late-ish. The sign said 11, but they closed tonight(a Thursday) at 10pm. Oh, and they also rock a drive-thru.
