I ordered a medium pan pepperoni and bacon pizza and got a pepperoni pizza with maybe one bacon BIT on each slice, and the tips of each slice smelled like soap as if the pan they cooked it in was still wet after being cleaned. I didn’t eat it until an hour after I ordered it, and I ended up cutting out the center of the Pizza. Nasty.

I believe the service here is really great. My son wanted to celebrate his birthday here so even though the reviews have been not so great I decided to give it a chance. Thought it was going to be awhile to get a table since there was also another birthday party going on but we were seated within minutes. The wait staff was very attentive and very friendly. We decided on the buffet and we were not disappointed. I mean come on, it’s all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad. I would definitely come here again.

Similar review to others. Waited almost 5 minutes for dining in, no acknowledgement at all. Another customer that was picking up a take out order got acknowledged while we were waiting. That’s too bad that this establishment has multiple complaints for customer service issues. I hope that management will resolve concern efficiently.

Was in the mood for pizza so Pizza Hut it was. We phoned in the order and we decided to have the Cheesy Bites Supreme Pizza and a Caesar Salad. The pizza was not bad, actually is was good. The Caesar Salad, not that’s a different story. Okay, so I opened the salad container and I found some bruised, wilted, and dead romaine lettuce leaves. WTH! Super unacceptable! I was gonna go back and show it to them and hopefully get a new one or even a refund but, I didn’t want to deal with the after work traffic. I mean yeah that was gross but we were hungry so I salvaged the salad. It’s sad Hilo does not have that many pizzerias, but I guess it’s better than nothing. Don’t get me wrong, despite the dead leaves in my salad, everything came out fine. The Cheesy Bites pizza was fun to eat because I usually don’t like eating the crusts. Same goes with my PBJ sandwiches… crustless LOL!!! Service and the amount of time from phone call to pick up was prompt. Based on today’s experience, 3 stars overall. Pizza Hut please check your lettuce!

I Unilocaled many things but only one other time have I felt the need to give an establishment a one star review. We ordered a pizza from this Pizza Hut at about 12:37pm. 2 large pizza regular pizzas. They said it would be ready by 2. I drove from Mountain View(25 – 30 mins) and went into KTA to get a few groceries. Walked over to Pizza Hut and at 1:30 and paid for the pizza. The cashier(who I found out later was the manager) took the money, gave me the receipt, didn’t immediately hand over the pizza(like the usually do after you pay), and just didn’t say a word. I figured they weren’t ready yet so moved to the side to wait. I stood there for HALFANHOUR. The whole time NOONE said a word about what was going on. From our call to pick up it took an hour and a half… one hour past the time they said it would be ready. And what just made it worse was that there was no discount and they said absolutely nothing about what was going on. I suspect they only started it once I arrived. Waiting this ridiculous amount of time for 2 pizzas ended up making me late for what I was bringing food over for in the first place. We have always enjoyed Pizza Hut(and this was always the one we went to as kids), but I’m sorry to say that this time was just an embarrassment for them.

Was looking to get the buffet but it closed at 2:00. Buffet food was still out 35 minutes later and not one person eating from it. No specials like Oahu and costs more. Almost 1 hour later, they removed the buffet items. What a waste of food.

Terrible experience. Came here with two families one time, and not all of us ordered drinks. Instead, we shared some drinks but they charged us as if we all ordered drinks. They actually counted who drank from the same cups! Seriously, who the hell does that. We were surprised and appalled when we saw the bill. Never coming back to this penny pinching place.

Awesome! We came here right before our flight back to LA from our 10-day trip to the Big Island. We were so sad to be leaving, but this Pizza Hut gave us a little more to be cheerful about before we had to come back to reality. We got there around 11:45am and were already starving — luckily, they’d just started the pizza buffet. For about $ 9 per person, you get all you can eat pizza, salad, breadsticks, and cinnamon sticks. It was all so good, and they kept restocking the buffet, with fresher pizzas and different options. The salad was fresh and delicious and the dressing options were plentiful, too. The wait staff were very friendly. This is a great value, we’d highly recommend it :)

Workers here are so friendly! They take the time to make conversation while still doing their job. I’ve only had carry-out, though. If you’re here for buffet, get a seat that faces the buffet cart. Every time someone under age 10 walks up there, you better pay close attention to what they pick up and put back down on the plate – I watched more than one kid do that to more than one piece of food!

Good buffet when you’re really hungry. The pizza though doesn’t taste as good as the take out ones, the crust isn’t as crispy. The rest of the buffet is good, the salad bar is fresh, the pasta is good, and the breadsticks are also very good. Staff is friendly and it’s a good place to take your family.

I confess being a fan of Pizza Hut places outside of California(where they’re run more like a self-serve diner versus a restaurant with menus and such). Our server doubled as the shift manager(or vice versa, I suppose), and she was great; three of the four of us did the lunch buffet, which was pretty well managed and restocked(about the only lull was when they were pushing out a big take-out order). She was also firm by pleasant when my mother(alas, the fourth who opted not to do the buffet) tried to swipe a cinnamon breadstick. All told, a nice place to grab a bite to eat between the airport and your next destination, or vice versa.(Probably good for other occasions too, but I can’t really rate what I didn’t experience, eh?)
