My daughters and I tried out this spot because one wanted teriyaki chicken. The menu is pretty basic. We ordered one teriyaki chicken and one hibachi shrimp. The food was fast and each meal received a huge white sauce. We were excited to get home and give it a try. I was a little shocked when I opened the boxes. I had to literally search to find the chicken and shrimp. There was a ton of tasteless rice and lots of onions. Now I know why they offer double meat for an additional fee. You would need double meat to match the regular order of any other restaurant. We will not return and I hate that i paid $ 15 for a tasteless container of onion rice! Waste of time and money!

One of the better Japanese carry-out restaurants in the Triangle. They have excellent daily lunch specials, and the staff are extremely friendly. The chicken and steak always taste great, and are well seasoned. Their vegetables are fresh, and their sweet carrots are amazing! Even the sweet tea is one point. They also give you more than enough white sauce in one cup to use for your meal, so you don’t have to use three or four like at other restaurants. There is indoor seating as well, and the staff are great to talk to. Some people may not give this place a shot because of its location(inside of an old shopping center) but it’s one of the best places to get food in Hillsborough.

With your voice of vegetables or meats over rice or noodles. I had the Saturday special hibachi steak and chicken. Total good food.

Went during the busy lunch hour and was impressed by the efficiency and service. Extremely friendly staff, you get plenty of food for the money, and my food was good! I was hoping for sushi, though, and the menu is all hot entrees. My hibachi was good, but I would love to find a staple sushi spot in Hillsborough!

Had heard only good things and saw that they had a $ 5.00 lunch special that included a drink! I will give that a go just about anywhere! Upon walking in, I was greeted from behind the counter before I was within 25 feet of the counter. I ordered the daily special and answered a few particulars about what veggies I wanted. I paid and was asked how I was as if she really wanted to know! While signing my slip, she tole me about her issues studying for a test. I got my tea and sat down and I swear it wasn’t three minutes, they were bringing me my order! The carrots are really sweet but not so sweet I didn’t eat them. The chicken was nicely cooked and plenty of squash and zucchini. I also like the fact that they actually seem to appreciate your business and want you to come again… I will!

Went there on a Saturday night, and it was fairly quiet. My first impression was that it was surprisingly clean – especially compared to most hole-in-the-wall Asian places I’ve been. Closer inspection showed that the floor and tables were pretty dirty, but the walls were freshly painted, the place was well-lit, and there was no build up of grease on the walls or ceiling. Got the teriyaki chicken. I actually thought it was good, though it came with really puzzling sweet carrots. As my partner said, it tasted like Japanese cooked by white southerners. But you know, I thought it tasted pretty good. Not sure I’d run back, but I’d pop in if the mood struck for semi-Japanese sort-of-teriyaki.

Popped in for dinner. The restaurant was pretty vacant, clean and playing The Black Keys. Good first impression. I ordered the hibachi chicken and I swear I got my food after filling my fountain drink. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. I was surprised that the sodium content was relatively low. Overall it’s a good spot in Hillsborough for a fast and healthy meal.
