I love Albertsons! Their produce is always beautifully fresh, however, the prices I don’t love so much. Only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars by the way. That being said, no too far off from your neighborhood Safeway, and I like these guys better. Oh and by the way, if you have children, this specific location offers mini grocery carts for the kiddos. Makes shopping a thousand times more fun for them, hence, easier on me :) Their deli is great ! Their bbq ribs grilled here are a must for Summer !! My absolute favorite thing? Their customer service ! Everyone is always friendly and courteous. I’ve had more than one experience where I’ve needed something very specific from the bakery(both custom birthday cakes) and they have performed amazingly! I don’t shop here often because of the prices, but EVERYSINGLE time I’ve been here I have walked out very happy!

I won’t go here again. It is so dark and gloomy inside, almost like walking into the twilight zone. Ok maybe not that bad but really get some better lights. The clerks were ok in friendliness but I suppose if I worked in there all day long it would get to me too.

I’m not one to review a grocery store… but I had to. It’s a grocery store, prices are fair in my opinion. So why the 2 stars? Their meat department has very little selection. I can never find the cuts of meat I need, and no, going to the actual butcher doesn’t help either. I once was looking for a whole chicken. Yup, they didn’t have any. I’ve looked for pork, pork sausage, certain cuts of chicken and beef and trust me, these are not strange cuts or weird things. I wanted unseasoned pork or pork sausages. Nope, nothing. Stay away if you want to purchase meat or seafood.

Albertsons used to be known for a pretty decent supermarket. Not quite on the league of Safeway, but up there. This, alas, was long ago. The younger generation only know of its present day state of service. This Albertsons marks up prices ridiculously high across the board. Very noticeable if you shop at other local supermarkets. I use it only as a quick store jump for an item or two due to its location from me. Its no place to do real shopping. Maybe they need the price gouging to stay open financially .It’s very close to criminality. I am not joking. It takes a certain kind of sociopathic and sycophantic management to keep ripping off their customers, and feel good about themselves. I do not know how they remain open with such exorbitantly inflated prices. Maybe the memories of Albertsons being once a good and fair supermarket clouds the reality of its crass nature today.

This is my favorite grocery store in the area. The people are very nice, they have everything I want except for some specialty and organic stuff I can get at New Seasons or Whole Foods, and the store is well laid out and everything is organized well. I asked them a few times to start carrying some specific items and they actually ordered them in for me. Prices are great and it’s very convenient.

UPDATE: SOMETIMEIN mid 2012THEYCLOSEDTHETULLYS — WAAAH! Makes my eyes rain… I ASSUMETHEYHAVEGROCERIES, BUTSODOALLTHEGROCERYSTORES. They(update — USEDTO) have Tully’s Coffee stand inside this grocery store. I have no idea how the rest of the store is(looks clean, staff seem very friendly) but THEYHAVE A TULLY’S and I treat myself once a week(okay okay, two or three times on a shitty week) to a coffee drink there. The baristas are funny, friendly, knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. Tully’s — aaaah. Good smooth coffee. Had to drop to 3 stars. I gave them that because at least they USED to have a Tullys.

It’s a grocery store and it happens to be walking distance. It’s ok and it’s great that there is a pharmacy so close. Price wise, head to the nearby Winco to save(assuming you can stand the crowds) The staff is friendly. For a quick item you forgot, it really can’t be beat.

Albertson’s is one of just two grocery stores that I pass on my way from work to home, and as such is a frequent stop for milk/dinner fixins/what have you. Convenience aside, what sets this particular Albertson’s apart from other grocery stores are the employees and the somewhat non-corporatized feeling of the store. Yeah, yeah, Supervalu mucky-muck corporate The Man fight the power whatever, but here everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful, and not in that put-out, I suppose I’m getting paid to do this kind-of way. Just honestly nice people. I also love that sales, promotions and such tend to be advertised via hand-lettered signs on posterboard. It just contributes to the sort of down-home days-of-yore grocery experience I remember as a kid. It’s not trying to look slick and modern, though it’s hardly run-down or anything… just comfortable. Bonus: lots of self-checkouts(and short lines at the other checkstands). Self-awareness note: I wasn’t trying to set any kind of hyphenation record with this review, honest.

I got real used to Albertson’s as a kid. It was the grocery shopping center of choice for my folks. They never had the best prices, they never had the best selection and they certainly weren’t the nicest looking. That didn’t matter. My Mom knew where EVERYTHING was in the store, and that’s what mattered to her. As an aside: I always jumped at the opportunity to go grocery shopping with Mom, because it meant that I was gonna get a few cheeseburgers from Burgerville or somewhere similar. It took me a long time to disassociate cheeseburgers from grocery shopping. Tragic, I know. Well, I’m here to tell ya that Alberston’s still doesn’t have the best prices, they still don’t have much of a selection and they sure as hell ain’t the nicest looking. BUT, they’re convenient for me and they don’t do any one thing particularly bad(or well). So, that makes it «A-OK» in my book. They’ve got a decent selection of local beer. They’ve even got the ol’ walk-in cooler that proclaims«COLDESTBEERINTOWN» or something to that effect. While I can’t confirm or deny that claim, I can confirm there is indeed beer in the cooler. I was surprised/delighted to see a Tully’s coffee stand in this particular store. I’ve always had a preference for Tully’s coffees and latte drinks, and they haven’t disappointed. There’s even a genuine nutmeg grinder(with real nutmegs!) sitting at the drink pick-up counter. Each barista I’ve met there has been friendly and helpful. So, yeah, it ain’t New Seasons or Whole Foods, but they’ll have the 5 lb. bag of sugar you need. Good enough.
