This is a delightful change of pace from the traditional optical center. The reception staff is a friendly and happy as can be, the doctors are timely, tests are state of the art, and the appointments are pretty easy to fit in to busy schedules.
They accept VSP and most major vision plans, have reasonable exam fees, and offer the best brands. Although I was there for new contacts and a yearly eye exam, I did see a broad array of very trendy, pretty eye glasses and sunglasses as well.
Yes, they’re my new BFF and they have a new loyal customer! :-D

Hard to imagine you can fall in love with an optical store, but I have… I will never go anywhere else or to another doctor for my eyes. Dr. Ward is an expert and a pleasure to work with. He has been treating my eyes professionally for 10+ years. He always has the latest technology for diagnosis and seems to keep very well educated on the latest opthamologic techniques. His staff is as good as it gets with what they do. The store, or boutique would be a more apt description, just keeps improving. I just heard a customer say «I always have so much fun here»…I couldn’t agree more. Although I moved to Florida 7 years ago, I STILL wait until I come back to Denver to get my eyes examined.

I went to Highlands Ranch Optical for the first time just before the new year. I needed new glasses and had some flex dollars to spend. I was greeted right away with a smile and a polite hello. The optician who helped me had great taste in frame styles and we had a blast trying on all the frames! I just happened to pick up my new glasses on Monday and I loved them even more than I did when I first tried them on. I learned also from my visit that Dr. Ward specializes in hard to fit contact lenses and ortho-​k. I will definitely be back there!

Poor service. Dr. Ward was great, but is poorly served by his office staff. I scheduled a follow-​up appointment after dropping $ 1400 out-​of-​pocket on CRT, entering the date in my electronic calendar while on the phone with the scheduler. I drove 30 minutes only to find no record of any appointment whatsoever. I told the front desk that I had driven 30 minutes and taken off work for this appointment and their response was that there were no openings that day. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

So my fiancé needed new glasses and since he is a label type person we were told this was the place to go. He likes the designers and they had them. D&G, Prada, Perry Ellis, Versace and the like. The selection for men’s glasses was pretty good although there could have been more selection of each designer since some of the designer glasses were only represented by 2 pairs. Anyway the glasses were not the issue it was the service that earned them only 3 stars. We felt that although we liked not being hassled when we were looking it was like pulling teeth to get someone to help us when we were ready. The sales lady really seemed disinterested with helping people. We had to ask a couple of times to get help and this was when we were ready to buy and had already picked out the glasses we wanted.
So we did end up with glasses from this place and my fiancé really looks great in them and is happy with the design but if they could just fix the issue with assistance in the shop I believe they could earn the higher star ratings.

Dr. Jeff Ward is the greatest. Our family requires hard to fit contacts and Dr. Ward has a unique solution for everyone. He tries new options and takes whatever time necessary to solve the most challenging vision problems. Literally, a lifesaver as I could not have continued my career without his magic. No other eye doctor came close.

I have gone here for years and keep going back because I like the staff (and that is saying a lot since I literally live nohwere near here anymore!).
Small shop, but it has what you need. I love their selection of glasses. They are more unique than the big chain stores, although that does translate into a bit more pricey. Still they do give great help with selection.
Good prices on contacts too! All around good and Dr. Ward is great!
