The service was SLOW and the servers appeared to be a little disorganized. Also to my surprise, my waitress was a Vegan??? She couldn’t even give me a recommendation on some of the food I was ordering! After all those issues, the food turned out to be very average. The drinks were very well made but overall very pricey. This is more a casual dinning spot and NOT a high end steak house.

This place is expensive! The waitress kept bothering me to «check up» on me if I’m done with my food when it’s obvious that I wasn’t. It’s like she wanted me out of there. Ridiculous!

Tried the brunch buffet here. Lots of delicious food to choose from plus free mimosas. The seafood station was my favorite. They make omelets and waffles fresh for you and flambé bananas right in front of you.

I had their prix fix dinner on Christmas evening & it was pretty good. The waiters were really friendly & provided great service. I had their French onion soup, their Salmon with mashed potatoes & their chocolate Lava cake. All was delish!

My husband and I went to The Pines for New Years Eve dinner. They only had a prix fix menu that night. We had 3 choices to pick. Salad, soup or scallops. I picked the soup which was a squash soup. I asked the waitress what it tasted like but she really couldn’t describe it. My husband asked if I could taste a sample and she said yes. She brought me a nice little bowl that was prepared just like the larger size was. This soup was very good. It was a subtle taste of squash. Definitely a winner. My husband had the salad minus the Gouda. He said the vinaigrette was very tasty. Our next choices were a filet mignon, rib eye for 2, slow roasted sea bass or lamb chops. I selected the sea bass and was not disappointed. It practically melted in my mouth. It was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both were tasty. My husband had the filet mignon. I wished I had taken a bite. It looked amazing. We than had 2 choices for dessert. I chose the cheesecake with berries. My husband chose the Milton lava cake with ice cream. I would certainly go back to eat off there regular menu.

Where do I start? The first time we dined here we must have caught them on a very good night because the food and service was great. Since that night it’s been all downhill. On our second trip they told us the wait time for a table would be 45 minutes. Yeah right, it was two hours and the hostess who lied to us was very rude and non-caring about it. When we finally got seated, it took the waitress 20 minutes just to take our order. I ordered a medium rare steak. The chef basically burned it. The meat was dry and flavorless. I ended up picking out the rare parts and leaving over half the steak on the plate. My wife and I figured they were having a bad night so we came back for a third and FINAL visit. I ordered the Mary’s Free Range Chicken and it was terrible. The chicken was dry and tasteless. I’m sorry but the Chef and his staff cannot cook. Their seasoning is amateurish at best. The hostess staff is incompetent and in need of some serious customer service training. The Manager is basically non-existent. When and if you’re luckily enough to flag him down, you find out very quickly that he’s not competent enough to manage a Fatburgers. He seems to love the back of the house because he totally ignores the front of the house. This establishment is masquerading itself as fine dining but it’s not. You’d be better served grabbing a couple of street tacos at the taco joint about 200 feet away. They got me twice but never again.

server was inattentive and forgetful. she wasn’t even apologetic for forgetting things. when we ordered the glass of wine, the pour was way under the standard line, Caesars salad was overly sauced and wilted, and everything was overly salty. the meal for what it is is ridiculously overpriced.

Definitely an improvement from last year. We had a concert to attend and wanted to have dinner before. We didn’t make reservations, but they were able to accommodate us. The waitress was very attentive, my mother had the salmon selection, and I had the lobster bisque and prawns pasta and shared the cheesecake that came with my mom’s meal. Everything was great. It is a bit pricey so expect approximately $ 33.00 per person, not to include drinks. I would return again.

We came back here for their delicious food on the night the impractical jokers were there. And again we were so pleased! The staff were friendly as usual and the food… so delish! We will definitely be back!

We came at 6:30 on a Fri after winning at slots! It was not crowded and that was nice. Service and food were excellent! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday and they gave her a complimentary big dessert of her choice and a card signed by all the staff! What an elegant touch. Crystal and the rest of the servers were so attentive and friendly! Will be coming back!

Last night, everything I had read about The Pines Steakhouse is true. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and we wanted it to be memorable. We had asked for the server Amanda, and she too came through with flying colors. Her explanation of the entrées were very helpful. We enjoyed her and her service. The 20 oz. bone in rib eye was the best ever flavorful, tender and juicy. You would not know you are inside a casino. Private and relaxing. Mary Ann from orange county.

The worse brunch ever. Good service though. But I am here for the food, good quality of food, But not too many choice, no cheese cake, no ice cream, not enough hot food choices. Fresh seafood, but I personally not a fan of cold dishes.

Love this place and always come here for celebrating special occasions. Food is always excellent and most of the time, so is the service. The only thing I don’t like is because it’s in a casino it does smell like cigarette smoke. Not too appealing when you don’t smoke and you are trying to enjoy your expensive meal. FYI if you have a players card or go sign up for one and eat here, show your players card to your waitress and you will get 10% off your meals(discount does not apply to alcohol). Update: came here for our anniversary and just think their service has gone down hill. Asked to sit in a private booth for the occasion and they sat us in the front where we can see everyone come in and out. Why? When the entire place was empty!?? The waitress was horrible and forgot to give our drink order to the bar. We got our appetizers and had to ask the waitress where the heck our drinks were. She was also not very friendly or apologetic for the mistakes. We came here ALOT but this has put a sour taste in our mouths. Think we will start looking elsewhere for our steak cravings.

Always an outstanding experience We’ve came here dinner, cocktails and dancing several times and always treated extremely well. Bartenders are fun, good atmosphere, good people. We ended up spending New Years here and we were treated like royalty. Great customer service We usually come out with friends but sometimes my husband and I will cone out for a cocktail and a cigar.

Nice Overall experience! Food was great but I felt that my Prime Rib Steak was a little over cooked for Medium but it had great flavor. As for starters we had Fruits of Sea which included: Shrimp Cocktail, King Crab Legs, Fresh Oyster, Champaign Mignonette… We also ordered the Crab Cakes, Calamari and Mac & Cheese. I was impressed with all the appetizers… My favs were Crab Legs, Calamari and Crab Cakes– Crab Legs were delicious, great flavor and tasted fresh! Calamari was very tender with great batter and freshness. Crab Cakes were perfectly moist and not overly greasy which is hard to master… props to the chef. Last but not least, they made the perfect Moscow Mule

So we came here on a Friday night around 8pm… food was great, service was lacking. The helper was amazing but server sucked. Like only 4 groups there total and we never saw her, painful. Food was great-sea bass and ribeye… amazing and the molten chocolate cake for dessert was to die for-make sure to order when you get your meal since it takes 15ish minuted to bake.

When I was a teenager I always wondered why my parents would turn off their phone and come home at 4am. Well, it turned out they were frequent guests at Pines, especially since they always brought home indulgent dinners for my brother & me(and probably amongst other things, ew). They usually brought us dinners from their prixe fixe menu which used to have the prime rib and carrot cake. This time however, they no longer carried those items on the prix fixe menu and were under the dinner menu. I was looking very forward for their carrot cake as their version is truly my favourite, but unfortunately they no longer provide that item. We came here on a Sunday evening to celebrate my little brother’s birthday. It was my first time at the actual restaurant; the ambiance was mood setting but oddly the hostess sat us towards the back near the kitchens. Unfortunately, it wasn’t ‘alive and popping’ like the television advertisement suggested, and we were the only guests dining at the hour. Everyone ordered off of the prix fixe menu except me. My daddy & brother both had the rosemary chicken with vegetables and chips, my mum had the filet mignon with a baked potato, I had the prime rib which was on the dinner menu. Of course, the prime rib was cooked perfectly, but after having a taste of my brother’s dinner I wished I had the rosemary chicken instead. My brother ended his birthday with a cheesecake and molten cake, although I was crying a bit inside because the carrot cake was no longer on the menu *tear*. Located upstairs of San Manuel’s Casino, swing by for happy hour or dinner, I know you will leave home full + happy :) x
