Conveniently located down the street from my house, I have been coming here intermittently for the last 10 years. They open at 6am and close at 10pm. Its been updated and maintained well. There is a great little health café next door if you are hungry and plenty of parking before 10am. It’s a clean, well-kept coin operated wash and dry that does the job. They have big heavy duty washers for larger loads, heavy blankets, coats or just your larger harder to wash items that would not normally fit in a regular washing machine. When I’ve lost money or had something forgotten/lost, its usually found and returned. Stewart, the owner is great at follow up and checking up on his laundromat regularly. He has reimbursed any money lost and fixed any machine broken within that week it is reported. Some tips: — One regular wash load is $ 2.00 but if you start before 7am, it’s $ 1.50 — The dryer, if you don’t pack it too full of heavy clothes, can dry a load with 6 quarters — Free wifi while using the facility — Parking is free until 10am PARKING: Metered street parking in front of and behind the laundromat(Hermosa Beach PD are fanatics about ticketing so just check your time).

I’m very disappointed that I never heard back from the Owner of this business re my extremely negative experience, that is very un-Hermosa like behavior. I did research taking action for Age Discrimination but more trouble than it is worth. I have actually wanted to go there but have to stick to my guns, so to speak, and keep up the Boycott.

Clean and Classy Coin Operated Wash and Dry. In town for business and have to wear printed polo shirts for work and they needed to be washed because the fabric felt awful. Found this nearby and it’s great. There’s a coffee shop next door too!

I had five loads of laundry to get done fast so I came here early in the morning. I was surprised at how clean it was. I had the entire place to myself. Before 8am, the washers are 50 cents off. If you check in on Unilocal you get the wifi password. Crafty! I went next door to the Source Café for breakfast before all the moms got there after dropping their kids off at school. I plan to come back when I have huge loads of laundry. Early in the morning is key… your pick of machines!

Clean and well maintained. I really love coming here bec. I can do my laundry and bring my computer to work while my clothes wash. Also, if you go between 6−8am it’s happy hour! Which means 50¢ off select machines.

Great laundry facility! $ 2.25 per wash $.25 per 6 min in giant dryers(easily fits two loads of wash) Free wifi with Unilocal check in. Clean. Some good places to sit and work on your computer. I came on a Saturday afternoon(lame) and there were plenty of open machines. I will definitely continue to do my laundry here.

The place was pretty clean. Plenty of different machines to choose from. However, at least eight washers/dryers were out of service. And for a Friday night, this place was busy. The aisles are a bit narrow so every time you want to walk through with a basket, others have to move out of the way. That gets annoying after awhile. Also, the coin machine doesn’t accept $ 20 bills either.

Great location, great hours and free wifi! You can’t go wrong. Service is a little pricier than some laundromats but worth the price. Clean, well maintained and serviced. Great choice of machine sizes as well.

Still needs more than two spots for free parking in the back. They are constantly taken for more than the two hour limit. I have just received my second ticket here. I am a little irked by the situation only because I love this laundromat but I can’t afford a 53 $ parking violation because I was over by two minutes folding my clothes.

Clean & reasonably priced. Large washers and dryers. I like coming here to do laundry.

I love coming here in the morning. I actually have a cheaper laundromat in my apartment building but Wash and Surf Coin Laundry is worth the drive and money. The laundromat is open super early, always has enough quarters, is super clean and everyone I run into is friendly. My experiences have been very enjoyable. I deducted one star because some of the washers charge the wrong price.

Wash is $ 2.25 and drying can be however much/long you want, but I usually put in $ 2.50. The place is clean and the people who come in are friendly. You can enter the café next door or the antique place across the street while you’re waiting for your laundry. Parking sucks because they only have two spots for laundry people, but you can always find street parking.

I came here to accompany a friend for laundry late at night after work. Found this place on Unilocal with sufficient time to do a couple loads before closing at 11:30p. This place is definitely as clean as everyone here has mentioned. The last batch finished drying 5 mins prior to 11pm. However, when we were told by the female employee who was mopping, to leave because it was now 2 mins after closing, I was kind of shocked to be told to leave. There is definitely a time discrepancy. I had to tell her that we’re almost done folding but she was so persistent in getting us to leave. She gave me an attitude, rolled her eyes, and sprayed some bleach on the floor by my feet, and mopped. I was literally being mopped out! There was a man that was there before we left and who was still drying but it looked like she knew him since they started to chat and chuckle when we were leaving. Friendly family business? Not.

It’s clean and in a great location to bum around and kill time while you wait. That being said more than half the washers were tagged with out of service signs and the change machines were ALL out of service. The banks are all 10 min walk away and obviously not always open to accommodate. Not what you’d expect on a Saturday mid morning… if everything worked a good alternative but I’ll prob go somewhere else next time.

There is NOBETTERPLACE to do your laundry in Hermosa Beach(or any beach city to be honest)!!! It’s every thing you want a coin laundry to be. Super clean, great location, affordable, machines always in perfect working condition, safe, never too crowded. Funny I read a review written by «John C.» below. complete bullsh*t because I had the pleasure to meet the owner on several occasions and there is NOWAY he would have acted like that, clearly a totally fabricated story, which is unfortunate and sad. This place rocks and I can’t say enough good things about it!!! I would have given them«ten stars» if it allowed.

Hands down the best place to do your laundry in HB. Sometimes it gets pretty crowded but otherwise the place is always clean and the machines hardly give you any trouble. It is a little pricey but you do get what you pay for… And I love the fact that the clothes actually smell clean.

I love this laundry mat! It’s in a great location, it’s clean and well kept. It is also not too pricey. I love that I can choose how long I need to dry clothes(each quarter gives you six minutes) they also have wifi and the Source Coffee shop next door has great coffee and delicious food. The best place to do coin laundry in South Bay.

Super clean! Never too busy! Great location. When you check in you get a wifi password to use that day. There’s a variety of washers and dryers and the clientele are way better than other places I’ve been. My clothes come out great! Only thing is There is no bathroom and no attendant on duty. The washers range in price from about $ 2 up to $ 4 for a triple load. There’s a coin machine inside for convenience. The machines only take quarters so bring change of bills to exchange. There’s also a nice snack machine inside with a variety of healthy and not so healthy snacks! Your choice. Drinks are also in the snack machine. There’s a little table with benches and a bar with stools to sit on while you wait. Parking in rear is best! There’s 2 hour parking in the alley but it’s usually taken. There’s meters outside too.

You can’t review a laundry place like a restaurant. Lesson learned. I am now fully releazing this and admitting my own near-sightedness. Upon return, this place blows away any other. You go to laundry because you have to, not because you want to(like a restaurant). So laundry places, like this, are set up for bad reviews from the start. people are already irritated. I can now escape my landlord’s terribly neglected laundry service.
