Tried 3 of the tapas plates, filet with pasta, Antonio(seafood mix) and brussels sprouts; none were very good and the brussels sprouts we returned. They tasted like they were soaked in pure lemon juice, much too acidic. The other dishes were bland and quite expensive for the amount of food. On the plus side, service was great and friendly, atmosphere good.

Bomb dot com!!! Real good food to eat! I had the chorizo Bilbao, fire! Also the roasted red pepper and feta dip was everything!!! Small portions but definitely worth it. Sucks they do not have happy hour for alcohol but other than that no complaints. Friendly staff

Didn’t order any food and my girlfriend and I just ordered 1 drink so this will be a quick review. +Located in Hermosa Beach Pier! You can bar hop or enjoy the beach before/after so love the location +Meter parking structure nearby that accepts credit card. YESSSS! No one carries change now days! Street meter parking is also available but it’s hard to find by the pier so I’d suggest parking in the structure.(Structure gets packed too so good luck!) +It was our first time here and we just wanted to grab a quick drink. Ria was our bartender that day and she was SO nice. My girlfriend had a hard time trying to figure out what to order and Ria let her sample some ciders/drinks based on the information of what my girlfriend likes to drink. How sweet of her! A+ service. +Didn’t try the food but they smelled and looked good too. Will be back for more drinks including $ 15 sangria pitcher, food, and Ria! :D

Excellent tapas experience. Pork belly is exceptional here and the best kept secret on the menu. Also recommend the Chorizo if you are into it. Great sophisticated beach atmosphere. Certainly a recommendation if you are looking for a unique dining experience.

On a «date night» with my(adult) grandson, we ate here at his suggestion. And what a great suggestion is was! As soon as the server announced it was Sangria Sunday(½ price pitchers) and I took one look at the menu, I was hooked! He is, gratefully, as an adventurous an eater as I am so we tried a number of Mediterraneo’s delightful offerings. First we selected 3 selections from the charcouterie menu: an upscale prosciutto, a Spanish Jambon and a semi-soft cheese. This was presented on a beautiful wooden board accompanied by a yummy fig jam, grainy mustard, thinly sliced apple and crispy grapes. Sweet, salty, acid, sour, YUMMY served with slices of a thinly sliced French baguette, we were off to a great start. Next came the spinachi con garbanzo. Garlicky sautéed spinach with seasoned garbanzo beans topped with silvered almonds ~~~~ and more bread(upon request). Lastly, the Morocan prawn. Perfectly seasoned with cumin & other spices, grilled to perfection, and served with potatoes, peppers, onions and some chorizo sausage was to die for and a meal unto itself. I thought we hadn’t ordered enough but as we ate the last prawn and drank the last glass of the delightful Sangria, we were amply satisfied. I would have loved to return there during the week when they have their BOGO appetizers, but alas, time for my CA visit ran short BUT I will carry these beautiful tapas pairings back to my go-to small plate venue south of Boston and hope they infiltrate some West coast trends to their East coast menus!

I am giving this restaurant only 3 stars based on portion size and having a slow waiter. The food tasted great.

So the menu was alright. Lots of beers to choose from. We ordered a few plates. I had an ale while my date ordered a cider. The one thing that didn’t really work well was when the guy brought us our plates and with one fluid(pun intended) motion, managed to knock the very tall, very full glass of cider right onto my date’s shoulder/lap/legs/you name it!(luckily, as my date pointed out, her summer dress wasn’t white or things could have gotten a little… transparent!) It was an accident, but it would be useful to train staff to politely ask patrons to move their drinks before he attempts to thread the needle — if ya know what I’m sayin’.

Charcuterie Board definitely smaller portions. Quality of service(speed of service) non existent on this visit. Had to ask another server to grab out check. The host prebussed our table and had done more for us than our server. I’m sure other servers maybe good but our server sucked. Didn’t feel her service even warranted a 10% tip. Megan unfortunately didn’t even know where we were on our experience. Another server was running out payment, Megan walked up with our check asking for payment like 20 mins after we told her we wanted out check. Gave an extra star just for the team play the other servers and host displayed. Probably won’t be back for a long time. Our favorite bartender /server Tiffany no longer works there. :(

Mediterraneo is located on the Hermosa Beach pier. It’s a great spot if you want to hang out with friends. This is the place to choose if you are not very hungry and feel for tapas. I came here on a week day so it was not crowded like on weekends. Their food has a lot of flavor. I enjoyed eating the Spanish tortilla and their crispy cauliflower.

I made a New Year’s resolution to eat out less and save more. Clearly that’s not happening. Mediterraneo is too good, and I cave to the temptation of a great meal every single time. My favorite chilled calamari salad and crab pinxto are on the table every time, and trying new things like the briny-bittersweet Boquerones Pintxo is irresistible fun. Speaking of things to try, the pork belly with date and Gorgonzola is another solid option, just not too memorable. Similarly, the Moroccan Prawns are luxuriously large but the dry curry on top gets a little too dry. The Sauteed Lollipop Kale is great if you need a vegetable, but be prepared to floss it out of your molars later. Maybe I should have just gotten dessert. The Gelato Sandwich is the most perfect ice cream sandwich ever, and the Drunken Summer Fruit is probably the best dessert ever, sweet fruit soaked in cream. Not all new years resolutions are meant to be kept. I’ll be poor this year but I’ll at Mediterraneo drowning those useless resolutions in their impressive list of drinks.

A cute place on the Hermosa Beach pier. 2 for 1 tapa happy hour made this a pretty good deal. Otherwise, prices were ok. Out of the dishes ordered, the most memorable were the pork belly and the deviled eggs. You can’t ever go wrong with pita amd dip anyway. The drink menu looked extensive even though we did not order any drinks. It was a good dining experience as the food was pretty good, the service great, the place clean, and the setting intimate. I don’t know that I would return just for the food but it was still a good 4 star experience overall.

I had my birthday dinner here on a Saturday evening and it was just wonderful. It was a party of 12 and they treated us great with no problems at all even though we were a big group. Their tapas selections are delicious and very satisfying. We ordered a variety of small plates and even though the thought of going to a tapas restaurant with such a big group sounds like a terrible idea it really wasn’t. Our waitress brought them out consistently and evenly throughout the table so we all had something to eat at all times. The pitcher sangria is a must especially if everyone wants to drink that. Overall service and food were great. You can call in advance and make reservations. We parked at the parking structure by Starbucks which is about less than a block away.

Met some friends here one night for snacks before going out. There is some really good sangria here. Service was good, staff was really nice and attentive and you can order from any server if you’re sitting at the high tops by the bar. Order the prosciutto wrapped dates. they’re like candy. The charcuterie plate is also really filling and comes with fig preserves and pickled veggies. Mmmmm, good.

We cane here on Wednesday night. It wasn’t too crowded yet wasn’t dead either. We didn’t expect the food to be this good! LOL And tapas portion was not small at all for us! I wanted to try more dishes but 3 plates(Morrocan style. shrimp, spinach with garbanzo beans, skirt steak) and a bottle of white wine filled me up to the top… I will come back with my(bigger) clan and try all the dishes on the menu next time!

Came here on a lovely Sunday afternoon, what a cute little place near the beach, loved the relaxing and casual vibe. Mediterranean small plates, ordering was easy, just write down on the menus. We were hungry, ordered quite a few plates to share. Started off with pitcher of white Sangria, one of the best Sangria I have ever tasted, so fruity, refreshing and strong. Small plates: Deviled eggs: I usually only eat organic eggs, but I really wanted to try deviled eggs, it’s been a while, so I had to order them. They were so flavorful and yummy. Blue crab crostini: fresh crab spread with amazing flavors, I am on no carb diet so I didn’t eat the bread, hubby liked them a lot, crunchy and tasty. Marinated veggies: OhMY, they were so good, so fresh with nice flavors. Green-lipped mussels: the mussels were fairly tender, loved the sauces on it, so good. Skirt steak with potato gratin: Our waitress didn’t ask how would hubby like his steak, the steak was too well done for hubby, he always prefers bloody steak. Filet tips pasta: the filet tips were too well done too, the pasta was very delicious, hubby loved the spicy flavor in the sauce. Moroccan shrimps: fairly tender, smoky, flavorful and tasty. The portions were a lot bigger than we expected, so we had to ask the last two dishes to go. Kale lollipop and 3 kinds of cured meats, sister loved the two take out dishes. Food was delicious, very nice flavors, most dishes were healthy and refreshing. I had a Bloody Mary and lemon drop martini to finish the meal, hubby had Vesper martini. They don’t have Grey Goose, but the vodka our waitress suggested was very good too. It was a healthy but still comforting meal, good food and drinks, attentive and friendly service from all the staffs. I was very impressed! Our waitress says they have good happy hour on Tuesday nights, it’s all night long, half off many items on the menu, really great deal. We might just drop by on a Tuesday night, we aren’t far anyways!

This place is beyond fabulous, I’d definitely come back here. I love all the restaurants these days who’s style of menu is small plates and shared dishes, this is definitely my kinda spot! We got really lucky this particular evening because on Tuesdays all of their tapas are buy one get one free, score! I had a glass of wine, my friend had a few beers and we shared 4 amazing tapas. We started with the squid dish which was great(maybe it had octopus in it also), I always appreciate calamari when it’s not fried. Next we went for the brussel sprouts, which were delicious with shaved lemon on top. Brussel sprouts were a dish your parents had to force down you growing up and now I feel like they’re one of the most popular dishes at every place I go to! For the 3rd dish which is not pictured as cauliflower just doesn’t photograph well but it was the curried cauliflower, I love both cauliflower and curry so this combination hit the spot. Lastly my friend ordered some mozzarella cheese balls with marinara or something along those lines. This place is in a great spot in Hermosa Beach with a fantastic outdoor patio in the heart of the strip with several other bars and restaurants. I think so many places offer Taco Tuesday so that’s why they have such a great special on a Tuesday evening. The only negative is that I didn’t care for the actual patio furniture, they were just those simple white plastic chairs, I’d prolly get nicer furniture for the patio area but I can’t say that effected how much I enjoyed my food! Great service, good food, nice view, lots of delicious wine… I will be back!

Mediterraneo in my opinion is probably the nicest place on the Hermosa Beach Pier. It’s really nice and rustic inside with a bit of class because of their beautiful simple bar. The whole staff is so nice! On Sundays they have half off their Sangria which is slowly becoming my weekly ritual. I’ve had their brussel sprouts and their little balls filled with meat and potato and both are great. When I come back, I definitely want to try more on their menu.

3÷15÷15: I’ve been coming to this place for many years, and it has always been my go-to place to bring my more vibrant friends. It’s just the perfect place for a restaurant – right on the beach, lots of nightlife right next door, and patio seating for people watching or sunset soaking… 1. Smokin’ Beets [cocktail] $ 12: Scrumptious. Love how they incorporated a frickin’ vegetable into this. And the color is so magnificent – a deep sexy red. The taste is surprisingly complex – of course there’s the fruit flavor, but has good alcohol characteristics and intensity. WARNING: it looks GIRLY. Oh well, didn’t care when it hit my lips. 10⁄10. 2. [unknown beer]: Why list an unknown beer? Well, I came with friends, and one beer aficionado did order some special beer, which he said was super hard to find. He gave me a taste and I was hooked – ordered the same. Can’t remember the name. But the point was that they have a very nice beer selection here. No PBR sht. The good stuff. Who would have thought for such a trendy place on the beach! 8⁄10(for the selection). 3. Charcuterie 3 Items $ 14: Very basic. Good, high quality artisanal meat and cheese. Some gourmet rustic mustard. Onions. Looks clean, but otherwise basic. 5⁄10. 4. Deviled Eggs $ 5: Kinda a let-down. Tastes fine, but didn’t taste particularly special. But one of the cheaper items, so I guess you get what you pay for here. 5⁄10. 5. Saffron Prawns $ 15: Shrimp on fettuccini. Shrimp is pretty well cooked – not overdone. Everything was good. 7⁄10. 6. Chicken Souvlaki $ 8: Nothing special here. Chicken is dry, but I guess that’s how it would be at most places for skewered chicken breast. Char flavor is decent. 5⁄10. 7. Filet Mignon Tips $ 14: Pretty good. The filet tastes a little like Chinese marinated beef broccoli beef. Guess that’s kinda an insult. But it does taste good. The tagliatelle is very similar to fettuccini – I’m not sure what the difference is. But the whole dish is good. 7⁄10. 8. Grilled Cheese Panini $ 9: A basic gourmet grilled cheese. 3 kinds of cheese here. The bread’s perfectly toasted. Very good simple grilled cheese, but kinda a rip at $ 9. 7⁄10. 9. Eggplant Fries $ 7: Now this is interesting! It’s sorta kinda like fried zucchini sticks, but made with eggplant. I love it! The breading is great and it has plenty of taste. Never seen this before. You must try! 9⁄10. 10. Roasted Dates $ 7: I think this is one of the nicer«bacon»(they use prosciutto) wrapped dates I’ve had. They stuff them with blue cheese, so it has a nice kick and texture. The dates are quite sweet and dense, and I think I like the prosciutto more than bacon for this. Very nice. 8⁄10. 11. [unknown dessert, some kind of chocolate mousse]: I dunno what this was called, and it appears the new menu doesn’t have this item anymore. Was it a special? Well, who knows. Was alright – some kind of chocolate mousse. Cracker on the side, and a dollop of whipped cream. Nothing particularly special. 5.5÷10. Here, I’ve never had a bad dish. But many of them are just average. There are some outstanding ones here and there, but I come here because it has all the elements of a perfect dinner: 1) great view, 2) great drinks, 3) good food. I know every time I come here I leave content with life. 5⁄5 #tapas #Mediterranean #Spanish #beer #cocktails #beach #view
