Chris is a very professional, hard working, caring massage therapist.
As Sara M. says, he is the best therapist, hands down! My wife enjoys her massages from Jamie as well.

I would not recommend this spa. My friend warned me about this place, but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. This company has very, very poor customer service and disorganized management. I spoke with Jordan… what a bad idea. She had no idea what she was talking about and was rude and disrespectful.
The company needs to improve their customer relations skills if they want to have loyal clients.

Very disappointed. Used an online system to set up a facial for my daughter and I three days in advance. Turns out they didn’t really have those openings. I got a call the day prior, I guess that was nice but they were completely booked that day. Thanks for ruining my special day with my daughter :(. Now it is too late to go somewhere else. Get your systems working right.

Hannah was amazing. I told her I needed some extra work on my hamstring and she really took the time to concentrate on it. She was friendly and asked me my preferences for everything. It was pretty much perfect and I will be back over and over again.
I feel amazing.

I LOVE this Hand and Stone location! Christopher is the BEST therapist, hands down. I have been coming to this hand and stone for about a year, even though I signed up my membership at the one in Carytown. I have worked at a competing massage chain in Richmond and so I know the difference between caring about clients and just being out to get their money. There is a BIG difference and not to mention that at Hand and Stone, if you need to cancel your membership for ANY reason, all you have to do is give a months notice. You are not locked into it for 1 or two years and have to sign your life away like you have to for other places– so that’s an added bonus!
All in all– if you are looking for a membership massage clinic that is affordable, has awesome therapists, extra bonus perks and really cares about its clients, then I suggest Hand and Stone in Short Pump!

Tammy is the best! She makes sure I am comfortable and always checks that she is not doing it too hard or if more pressure is needed during a massage. Just magic fingers! She doesn’t waste any of the time and I always come out feeling relaxed, loose and ache free! The reception desk staff are all awesome too, very knowledgeable of the services offered and are always courteous and accommodating!

I signed up for monthly massages or facials a year ago. Didn’t use them right away but went this week as I had an aching neck. Oh my goodness, now I remember why I signed up initially. I had a fabulous deep tissue neck and back massage that made me feel so much better. I love the clean environment, the welcoming professional staff.
I can’t wait to reschedule again soon.

I first went here for a facial with Sandra in April, and it was fabulous! Sandra is terrific. She’s so easy to talk to, so there’s no awkward small talk. And then she tells you when it’s time to be quiet and just enjoy the pampering! I love that! Sandra did a great job on my skin, and it made a difference right away.
When I checked out, I signed up for the membership, and I am so glad I did! Now I can get a facial or massage every month at a discount. And if I miss a month, it just rolls over. I’ve had a couple more facials with Sandra (always amazing!), and a massage with Megan (wildly relaxing!). I really love being signed up for a monthly pampering session!

If you are in the mood to splurge and be pampered, this place is for you.
I received a card in the mail from HSMFS for a complimentary service, having signed up for a drawing at their booth at the recent Little Sisters of the Poor French Food Festival. Not one to pass up a freebie, I was more than happy to take them up on their offer for a complimentary facial.
In addition to their basic «signature» facial, they have a number of al a carte selections if you care to customize. But these items can add up quickly. But since my basic service was free, I splurged on several of these added services, such as a collagen mask, foot treatment, etc.
In all, the esthetician did a nice job. It was a very relaxing experience without any sort of hard sell of products, plus my skin looks and feels very nice.
P. S. Check in using your Unilocal app get a $ 39 special price on a massage, which I saved for later use.

My experience with having a facial at Hand & Stone was lovely. I took advantage of the $ 49 introductory special and was treated to the magical touch of Janet. She took her time and met my expectations with sensitivity and care. When I left, my face felt dewy fresh and my complexion was improved enough so that the sunspots I had on my cheekbones were considerably lightened. I will definitely be returning in the near future!

I’ve had better… the basic facial really didn’t amount to much. While I was told the esthetician will customize the facial to my skin type, all she did was used steam, one application of scrub, removed a couple of black heads (which I knew I had more) then repeatedly massaged the same cream on, until a 10min mask. I had told her in the beginning I have very dry skin but that was lost in translation because all she did was try to up sell me other products like a spot corrector. Although she was nice as well as the receptionist, my skin was still very dry & I felt it starting to crack as I walked out the door. What should have been standard practice (a moisturizer before leaving) is only «customized» if you’re willing to pay extra.

Had an excellent facial here with Janet. I literally called 2 hrs before and they fit me into the schedule. The facial was about a 4 step process and you get a neck and shoulder massage. It was so relaxing and she went over everything concerning my skin. Will be back for more!

Tried the new «hand and stone» for a facial after looking for dermalogica products that I used to use years ago when I went to facials regularly, since baby came around and I work from home mostly, I fell off the facial wagon and could tell my pushing 40 skin needed some work. I’d really never heard anything about hand and stone before trying it out but they had a great «intro price» so I decided to give it a try. Sandra is a great esthetician who I saw on my visit and the facial was wonderful.
I did not do any addon treatments so she really just worked on my face so I can’t say anything to that, but I can say she did a wonderful job with the facial part (mask, pore extraction etc). Front desk staff was also very friendly. Did not feel rushed with the esthetician, everyone answered questions and they were very attentive.
My skin feels so much better and I ended up trying their ClarityRx line they carry. Liked the visit so much decided to get a membership and they have a great pricing point for the first 200 members right now and a much less ‘stringent’ membership commitment than some of the other day spas I felt the risk was minimal. So far I’ve really enjoyed the Clarity RX line and plan to try their signature hot stone massage at some point as well :) Great place, give it a try.
