Very disappointed. I was given a male therapist when I had an appointment with a female that I requested. It turns out my appointment was switched to accommodate a male client who wanted a female therapist. The new client was actually someone I knew. When I arrived he said I think I stole your appointment. I realized what he meant later. The waiting area is coed. I was sitting across the room facing a male I knew from work in a bath robe that was too small for him and his anatomy was protruding while sitting. The«relaxation» room has crazy fluorescent lighting of different colors which would cause anyone with a migraine to kill themselves. Thankfully the massage was fine however the therapist did cut the session short. The receptionist did credit me for the time I loss and offered me a discount if I returned. Unfortunately, I will never go back.

we had a great experience. Naomi(nails) and Mary(waxing and facial) were fantastic. It’s not cheap, but it’s a very relaxing friendly place. I liked making reservations online then getting a confirmation text and call. :)

Desk is unmanned. I called all afternoon, left a message at their voicemail and through the Hilton Front Desk. Zero response. If the services are anything like their customer service, then I dodged a HUGE bullet here.

This place was horrific, from start to finish. Incompetent management, clinicians who do not understand the rules that govern how to properly conduct a mani pedi(the one I had bragged it took her 3 times to pass her exam). Just a horrible experience all the way around. They were busted a while back for serving too much alcohol by the ABC. They tried to tie it to the equally horrific chain restaurant but that did not work. Simply incompetent, rule breaking salon that needs to be shut down. Too many issues to mention. Go somewhere else.

On January 31, 2015, my friends and I were in Aura Spa & Salon to celebrate a life event. The idea was to put together a nice spa day for my friend that was pregnant. Our combined scheduled services were two pedicures, reflexology, massage, and facial. The friend that was pregnant was going to have the facial and a pedicure. As luck would have it, my pregnant friend went into labor on spa day, thus making her a no show. My other friend and I still came into the spa that day to receive our services and for the most part enjoyed our time there. I did have to wait at least twenty minutes after my friend was called in for her massage before I was called for my pedicure. However, I was not going to hold that against the spa because the staff was so nice and I wanted to enjoy my day. Upon leaving, I was charged the 50% cancellation fee(which equaled to about $ 70) for the services of my pregnant friend because she was not cancelled within the allotted time frame. At the time, I was a little shocked and somewhat upset about this turn of events, but I went ahead and agreed to the charges because arguing about this would totally reverse the effects of spa day. After taking a few days to think about it, I realized I needed to voice my opinion on the subject. It is in my opinion that I should not have been charged for this cancellation because this was a medical event that we had no control over. The cancellation policy at the spa is flawed and should take into consideration medical emergencies. If additional documentation is needed, then the spa should request that and it would be provided. Overall, this has marred my experience with Aura spa and I believe that the call to charge the fee was poor judgment and ultimately bad customer service. I understand the need for a cancellation policy and realize that this was strictly a business decision. However, I needed to express my opinion about the decision and share my experience with others. I truly feel like this was not the right decision and in the end the spa has lost three customers as we are looking for other establishments to cater to our spa days from now on. I have accepted the final decision and will take this as a learning experience. It is my hope that the spa will revisit their cancellation policy so that future customers would not be impacted in a similar way.

A group of friends and I went together to Aura Spa for a variety of services including facials, massages, Turkish body scrub, and a body wrap. All of us were pleased with our services except for the body wrap. Unfortunately, the sound proofing in each of the rooms was lacking so for example: during my facial, I could hear the staff’s microwave beeping and anyone who walked by chatting outside. So that was distracting and made it less relaxing. Also, our group ordered food as we relaxed in between services, which was very tasty. The odd part was that we had to sit at their manicure counter to eat. Part way through, a woman was brought back and had her nails done next to us… the smell of the polish was not pleasant during our meal. Otherwise, it was a nice environment with friendly staff.

The only reason I am going back is because I am being forced to… after that, never again One week before my birthday my boyfriend goes into Aura Spa and Salon and purchases a package for 3 things; a massage, facial, and pedicure. While he asks to make me an appointment on the following saturday. The lady helping him tells him saturday they have a large party coming in HOWEVER, Sunday they have an opening. She proceeds to tell him to to tell me that each of the 3 services is 50 minutes so to expect to be at the spa for 3 hours. He presents me with the gift card and on it I notice that who ever filled the certificate out wrote that is expired ON the day he bought it, not a year later. Instantly he picks up the phone just to verify the mistake and make sure they have the correct info. No one answers… he leaves a voicemail asking for them to call him back. No call back. He called again 2 days later, he then spoke with someone to clarify The day of the visit. I drive 25 minutes to the facility and as I am walking into the spa(5 minutes before my appointment time) I receive a call from the spa. I answer, the lady on the other end of the phone was calling to confirm my appointment. Never have I ever received a conformation call on the day of an appointment, much less 5 minutes before I am to be there. I walk into the spa and immediately hand the certificate(that clearly has massage, facial, and pedicure written on the front) to the secretary. The stars go to: MYMASSAGEANDFACIALWEREFANTASTIC– I just want that to be clear. I do not recall my massage therapists name(sorry!), however my facialist, Mary was super sweet and knowledgable. After my massage and facial I asked if I was to wait where I was to be taken to my next service. She kind of gave me an odd look, said yes, and then walked into the hallway. Here is where it all falls apart… I can hear the ladies in the hallway bickering about my next service(pedicure) and someone about package exclusions. Mary and the Secretary come back into the room where the secretary proceeds to tell me that they«don’t do nail services on Sundays». She then said she did not know what happened and asked if I would like her to schedule me for the next available appointment. WELLDUH, is what I wanted to say but I said yes and went to go change back into my clothes. The secretary approached me again and said«the director is the one who scheduled my appointment» and she does not know why. I made another appointment and left, PISSED. The little things that they messed up on customer service wise are excusable UNTIL you drop the ball on something bigger. Then a consumer evaluates the entire experience in their mind, which unfortunately was now a negative one for me. The mistake could have been caught in 2 other places; 1. making the appointment and 2. when I handed the secretary the gift card when I walked in. They did not even offer to upgrade the pedicure or add on anything to compensate for the inconvenience or the extra 50 minutes its going to take me to drive to and from the spa

What a wonderful experience! Everyone was super nice. The atmosphere was amazing, beautiful and peaceful. The massage was heavenly! It is not the least expensive place in town, but then again you get what you pay for. Worth every penny!

I have been to Aura Spa on 3 different occasions and have taken a different friend along each time to enjoy the experience. They have the nicest«ambiance» I have ever seen, friendly staff and«perks» that I really enjoy like beautiful lighting, providing drinks, issuing cozy robes, selling products and having beautiful, convenient rooms and lockers for belongings. I would go much more often if I lived a little closer, or if prices were a bit lower. Coupons or sale offers for returning customers would be more than enough incentive for me to make the drive from Palmyra again and again. I have more company coming at the end of this month… would love to head here again and allow her to enjoy this amazing experience!

On Aug 17th I committed to trying a Keratin hair treatment to smooth out my ever constant frizz issue! I have thin floaty curly hair and Mia always does an excellent job doing a cut and/or dye on me! I was fiddling with this idea for a few months and finally decided to try it out. I am NOT dissapointed in the least and I will surely do it again after 3 months. Mia always takes great care of me and the spa is relaxing and modern without being pretensious. With the Keratin treatment I hardly need any product and my hair is so manageable now! I LOVEIT!!!

Came here for a haircut with Jose Luis and was very impressed. He knew exactly how to cut, my very hard to cut hair. As well as give me great advice as far as styling, and which products were more appropriate for my hair. I look forward to having him as my permanent stylist for many years to come!

Went here for a massage for my 30th birthday. My parents and sister were staying here, so me, my mom and sister had massages. The facility is very nice and modern. There are 2 changing rooms that double as bathrooms, so if you need to use the restroom and are not changing, you have to wait if someone is in the changing room. The waiting area is very nice, but small. Lots of different colored lights shine down in an all white room. The treatment rooms are off the waiting area. The room I was in was much bigger than I expected from the waiting area. It was very quiet and calming. I had the radiant stone massage and it was wonderful. I usually visit Red Door when I am in the short pump area, but I will add Aura to my rotation of spas.

O… M… G… Now, I didn’t try the other services. I did use a coupon that they provided us when we checked in. I was in pain. I couldn’t turn my neck to the right. These guys needed to be my therapeutic messiah. And they delivered. I was checked in and led into a changing room where I was given a pair of slippers and a bathrobe that was very much designed for a woman(not enough fabric to cover my «jewels» when sitting in the waiting room). I hope I didn’t show too much bubble gum, but oh well. After changing, I proceeded to the waiting lobby to get called forward by a staff member. Now, I don’t remember my masseuse’s name but she was a goddess. She chatted me up, let me get undressed and under the sheet, and quickly got to work when she returned. She worked on the spots that I asked her to pay attention to — mostly my neck — and put the healing on me. Some of the pressure was intense(it was a deep tissue massage after all), but it slowly worked the knot out of my shoulders. By the time the hour was over, I could move my neck again, if not a little sore, but I could move. Also, she found some knots in my quads that were irritating my IT band for the last couple of year — this made my run the next day so much easier… I wish this spa was near my house in DC. Overall, this was well worth the C-note that I paid for this massage and an hour well spent. I’ll use it again if we’re back here next year.

My wife and I went here this weekend. The review by Larry had me nervous but we gave it a shot anyhow. We got the Couples Massage Package and Refresh Facials. Given that we went there 14 months after he did, we had a really good time there. We weren’t crazy about the soaking bath prior to the massage(if you are going solo, I recommend it — it’s not built for 2 adults :) but we enjoyed the massages and the facials. Overall, the spa being in this nice hotel is ideal for a getaway weekend for busy parents like us!

My wife & I came here for 3 days for the spa – boy were we disappointed!!! It is truly little more than a glorified nail/hair salon, that happens to offer 4 treatment rooms for massages. There is ONE steam shower, but it is in one of the treatment rooms!!! So if someone else is using that treatment room, you’re out of luck!!! The lockers are actually within the toilet(again, for ONE person at one time). They were not set up with towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc., yet they offer showers following a treatment – I had to traipse to my room in my robe. The actual massage that my wife & I had were good, but administratively, they are severely challenged– The appointment times and the service ordered on the phone were not correct. And all this for high prices plus an automatic 20% gratuity???
