Yay! I love the new location! So beyond happy that they are out of that gross shopping center across the street and now they are where Vons used to be. Much cleaner and nicer layed out store with a bakery, awesome meat dept and awesome beer selection. Their new carts are awesome too! :)

My family has been loyal stater bros shoppers for over 30 years, but not anymore, their prices are going out of control, they are now more expensive than walmart & winco as well as grocery outlet. I love how they make up their own price and then have the so called sales price. for example starkist solid albacore tuna(4 pack) they state that the regular price is $ 7.99 and their sale price is $ 5.99 this tuna is not $ 7.99 at any other supermarket(even vons).walmart sells it for $ 4.88 and just recently raised it to $ 5.47 I know this to be true because I purchase this item at least twice a month. I truly believe that their high prices are due to the fact that they have to keep paying union wages to their yourself a favor and shop at winco or walmart.

I really wish I could like this store, its way too busy every time I come in. I hope it slows down a bit now that the Walmart grocery store is open although stater bros. prices are higher that Walmart. It’s nice to have a fresh deli and bakery.

Stater Bros, you’ve come a long way from where you started, which was across the street in the ghetto shopping center. I love this Stater Bros, the baked goods and deli area is the first thing you hit when you walk in the door, smells wonderful. Smells like Fried chicken and carrot cake lol perfect! They have security walking the front door, the aisles are big, it’s clean, the cashiers are friendly, they really stepped up their game with this new location. You’ve got my business now.

I love the new store. The meats are the best in Hemet. Whenever I am preparing for a Barbeque, I ask the butcher, Conrad, for his opinion about a certain cut of meat. He always picks my cuts for me, and they are always perfect. I have never had a bad steak! The new store is huge and the isles are now spacious when several shoppers are busy. The new store has a deli and bakery in it. Overall, great new location!

I can walk, but not far and this wonderful new Staters has eight electric carts right at the entrance to the store. They have made this dingy old Vons into a bright and cheerful new store with plenty of people to help you find things. The old store across the street was OK, but this one is a pleasure to shop in. I got so fed up with the surly people at Winco thinking you were a burden because you need an electric cart to shop that I’m happy to buy my groceries at a store where they value everyone.

I reallllllllllllllllly wanted to like this new location. I have waited all year for it to be remodeled from a Vons to a stater bros. Unfortunately I made the mistake of going opening week. It is not a new store to the city we have had stater bros before and they used to be across the street, but people were acting like it’s black Friday. I walk in the store and there is just a mob of people, I do not know what the fire codes are for capacity but It had to be near it. So I start in the produce section. First off it is a good size, to give one positive. But it lacks bags close to anything, you have to keep moving away to grab more and then because of how crowded it was I would have to wait to get back to what I was already looking at. The prices were high as well. I can got to winco just down the street and pay a minimum of at least .25 cent to 1.00 less for items. The organic section while larger than at their old store was so expensive it wasn’t even getting traffic. 2.49 lbs for zucunni??? I can go to Sprouts across town and get it for 1.49lbs for organic. And it didn’t get much better. I eventually filled up my cart with some produce as much as I just wanted to turn at around and leave. As I was trying to walk around you could see employees standing near the walls watching, not helping, not doing anything but talking to each other. Then I finally made it out of that section over to the meat department. Even though there was a full butcher section, I felt the selection was small and the set out displays lacking in size. They could have taken some room away from the produce and made the meat Department bigger. The meat was very expensive except a few select items that were on sale. The young woman that helped me behind the counter was cheerful and helpful, honestly the only employee I encountered that was. The store was also having free sample stations similar to Costco. The problem was the isles are pretty narrow and it was very busy. I was trying to look at the boxed cake and frosting, which was a located at the end of and isle but they were sampling frozen pizza. Well the agent was advising people it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes, but the didn’t leave and the agent didn’t make them. So this caused a huge back up with me trying to look at the cakes and them standing there. I know the store can’t control how people act overall, but they could have prevented some of the rudeness by either canceling the free samples until it wasn’t as busy or moved that agent. Then I made it over to the baby section. I had waited an extra week because the old stater bros. across the street had run out of the glass jars earth’s best foods. One I use wic and not to mention it is organic. There were wic stickers everywhere through out the store by the way. Well they had a few but nothing like they had before and not enough to even use the wic check. I’m sorry Regular Gerber is not safe and they don’t offer the organic ones and since wic allows organic I get earth’s best. Well they only had sweet potato, apple, corn and butternut squash, apple and butternut squash, and carrot. Where is the Apple and plum, apples and apricots, banana, pears, etc. There wasn’t even a space for them. Then I finally went up to check out. Now I was shopping for over an hour, I left my 10 month old son with his grandmother so he wouldn’t have to deal with the crowds. So this took precious time from him. I had had my wic checks out since I was able to make it in through the crowds. Seen several employees through out the store. As I stated earlier there were some against the walls staring at people. There were wic stickers through out the store. I was trying to get milk, eggs, cheese, beans, juice and a couple other items on the checks so I had the cart set up to make it easy. I finally make it to the point where I can put my purchases on the check out belt. There was an employee waiting to remove the groceries from the cart and I tell the employee that I have it separated because of wic. And she rudly tells me, there was a sign outside saying they didn’t do wic yet. Ok, if they saw they were this busy, why did they have one sign they expected you to see with these crowds. Why not have paper sign through out the store near wic eligible items. Or maybe one of those employees who should have seen my checks could have said something before I spent so long in this store away from my child. I was so upset that the other items I was buying were over priced, but I was trying to get everything in one location, that I told the agent I didn’t want to purchase there any more. And I left. I do not recommend this location as of yet. Perhaps next year when the newness and the holidays have passed I may give it another try.

I Went to the grand opening this week and its the best looking stater brothers Ive been in so far. It looks a lot fancier and appealing along with more options in the deli and bakery. I hope they can maintain and keep it up to the way they first opened it. Nice clean and organized the workers were very welcoming and helpful this grandopening week hope they can keep that awesome customer service skills and not get lazy and rude like the other stater bros ended up. This is a beautiful new stater bros.

I love, love, this Stater Bros. on Florida Ave. The store on Stetson, aah not so much. Jacob is one of the many staff members that are so efficient and friendly but HEIS the guy with answers. He is so over the top in going the extra mile! I hope State Bros. top-floor executives know what an asset he is!

*UPDATE: Corporate called me and promised to solve this issue to make sure it never happens again. Thank you, Stater Bros.* The ATM at the Stater Bros at Florida and Sanderson in Hemet, CA just ate our card after dispensing the cash. The card never came out of the machine and I was told there it has happened numerous times to other people. The manager could do nothing about it and told me to contact the company that runs the ATM; a company every Stater Bros uses for their ATMs, apparently. He warned me that they would do nothing because the held cards are shredded and the company only comes in from time to time to open the machine. I was told to contact my bank as they could issue a new card but the problem is that my wife is on SSI and her card is not connected to any local bank… unless a we have a branch of Comerica I am unfamiliar with here in Hemet which could help us out the next day. Now my wife has to call to have a new card issued and expedited to her and they will charge her about 30 bucks or so to do so. Se only receives $ 700 in SSI and this is a great inconvenience now. I told the store manager I would complain to corporate and he had the audacity to tell me that«there was no reason to be rude with him» and also informed me that others have contacted corporate after the same happened to them with that ATM machine and corporate did nothing.

I despise this Stater Bros. location. The store itself is worn, dirty and small. Majority of the employees I’ve encountered here are unfriendly or just downright rude. Parking lot is horrible and whomever owns the actual shopping center obviously cares nothing about their investment. There is no security to escort panhandlers off the premises and the black top has needed repaving for years. Now I understand that this isn’t Stater Bros. fault but it does add to the lack of appeal. I wouldn’t do my grocery shopping here if you paid me.

I like and enjoy the staff here but there is a problem with the customer service with a cashier and a box girl. Cashier takes the last person in line after i was waiting for a while. That was the icing on the cake. And the box girl … OMG!!! everytime I come here and I come here a lot … at least 4 – 5 times a week with a 60 dollar bill. Well this girl just does not want to be here. #DROOPYFACE She walks around with a sour puss on every time. Makes rude jesters at vehicles to move out of her way while she collects carts. This has happened twice that I saw. I saw her take two carts at a time thought the parking lot and then walk all the way over to go get two more from the same place. What a lazy worker… Some people need to realize that they are in a customer service industry and customers should feel welcome to come spend their money at their store. I did not feel comfortable today shopping. I almost put everything back… another $ 88 today. I need to find another store where everyone is friendly. #staterbrothers #badcustomerservice #floridaandsanderson #droopyfaceboxgirl #unhappytowork #workhardkeepajob

This store is always crowded and was very disappointed that a bunch of shopping carts seat belts were cut off, anybody with children knows its hard to shop without seat belts plus those are suppose to protect your children. This is an issue that needs to be adressed quickly. Other than that the prices are average.

Pretty rundown old Staters. Nothing to write home about. Parking can be a challenge. Generally, you don’t get molested by beggars like at the Florida x Stanford store, so that’s a plus.

Want yummy french bread and other bakery items? Go across the street to Vons. This Stater’s has no Bakery. Want cheaper prices? Then come here. But beware, the store is small and not meant for the impatient by any means. You’ll be sharing aisles with the other 40 people that decided shopping at the same time as you is a good time. This store has pretty much what you’ll need, but they could improve their bakery items since they ship them from other stores and are rarely fresh. Also, the alcohol selection is decent, but I’ve found that Vons typically has cheaper prices when it comes to alcohol, oddly. I’ll come here for last minute items since it’s just a mile away from my home. It’s too much of a clusterf*** for me to do a full load of grocery shopping in one trip. The day that management decides to renovate will be a day worth celebrating!

Pros: Convenient location if you live in east hemet. Apparently a full service butcher(havent used it myself) Cons: Typical«im too good for this job» high school girl checkers/baggers. Always packed and crowded They dont seem to care about opening additional checkers when there are lots of people in line. In fact, one evening recently I needed to go food shopping, I went to the stater bros parking lot, and after staring at the teeming masses rushing around the parking lot and in and out of the store I went to Vons on Sanderson and it was a PARADISE. I was the only person in the produce section! Shopping is so much nicer without the crowds!
