I have never been a super clean freak but as soon as we got here(after we had to wait 30 mins for them to clean our room even though it was already reserved) we found the closest Walmart and bought Lysol wipes and spray to spray the beds and pillows and wipe the counters down there is splattered nasty stuff all over the walls the shower head is black and the pillows had blood on them the fridge didn’t work the microwave looked like somebody tried to rip it apart and the coffee maker had no pot or the thing that holds the coffee the lady at the front desk couldn’t speak a lick of English and was very VERY rude also there are holes everywhere and the bathroom is barely big enough to fit one person I recommend spending the extra money and getting a better place to stay because this is not a family friendly clean place

50 $ shouldn’t get you much, and i guess that is their motto. The receptionist didn’t greet us. She just looked at us funny. The room, well the rooms. First off, no shower curtain in our room. When we requested one they said they would be right up. We waited a few hours and then just took a shower. They came when we left, probably to save embarrassment. Shower head was so dirty i didn’t even feel clean afterwards. The heating system was so full of dust i knew it couldn’t be good for our health. Bed had old blood stains on sheets. The sheets were super itchy. This was the most vacant hotel and town and now I know why. If you are in a bind and only have 50 $ then i guess you can stay here. Otherwise spend more money and be comfortable.

For $ 50 this was worth it. It served its purpose for a place to sleep and shower. By no means very updated but I do think it was clean. It smelled funny not bad.. For $ 50 we would stay there again.

a last minute booking in helen, during oktoberfest. this is what we got. there were other options in town for over 300 bucks, so for a 150 bucks last minute, we were grateful to find this hotel online last minute. it served it’s purpose for a bed and shower but other than that, this place was quite dumpy. our room had not one, but 2 giant tube tv’s. one didn’t even work(decoration perhaps?) and the other one had a remote that didn’t «remotely» work. the wallpaper was peeling in large sheets on several spots in the room. the pillows were tiny and flat. and i didn’t dare try the continental(re: boxed danishes, generic cereal, and orange«drink»). and there was absolutely no soundproofing. i’ve stayed in better hotels in the jungles of indonesia and guyana for a lot less than this place.

Took it for pricing purposes but like they say, you get what you pay for. The service was slow… its was a bit creepy and I felt as if I were in the movie«Vacancy». The exterior of the building was outdated and dainty. The insides were old, smelled a bit, bathrooms were not in the best working order either. We def. took our own sheets and thank God because there were stains on the«fresh clean» sheets sitting on the bed. The«continental breakfast» was ordinary and they were out of the sausage biscuits when we got there. According to them they are undergoing renovations so next time I drive up to Helen, I will jump back on here and update the situation.

As a public service to fellow Unilocalers let me please advise to steer clear of this hotel. The rooms are awful, the bathrooms are disgusting. If we hadnt arrived into town at midnight we would have immediately left and looked for a new hotel. The next day we found a great BnB. I highly recommend researching the area BnB’s and local chamber of commerce up here if you are planning a trip to Octoberfest.
