Got a great price from the Econo Lodge web site — much cheaper than the regular lodging shopping sites I usually swear by. I ignored all the online reviews of this and other Helen motels thinking they were written by folks who thought Helen was going to be Disney. Well the old and sort of run down motel was working on a solid three until the bed frame broke at 3 AM and there was no maintenance man on duty. I understood that but when I talked to the desk manager the next morning he was very nice but was sort of like «well, things happen.» Those are my words not his but he was less than helpful. Never again!
