This was my second visit to DaVero, I’m so glad I was able to stop in once again. I’m still a newbie when it comes to wines but with the knowledge of my friend Vivian and the knowledge that Shannon offered as as we did our tastings was very helpful. She was great at what she did, she really draws in her customers and captivates them with her knowledge and personality. It’s very obvious that she loves what she does. I also greatly enjoyed the jams, the 3 I tasted were wonderful. I wish I could’ve taken home one of each. The beautiful garden offers some gorgeous flowers and it’s so peaceful to just wonder about. You can’t forget about the pics and the chickens though, they deserve some attention too. Beautiful place to bring a picnic or just buy a glass of wine and take a stroll. I personally can’t wait till my next trip so I can visit again… Thank you Shannon for such a pleasant visit and educational tasting.

We have been visiting the farm and using their products since 1998. This is a very interesting operation; A bio-dynamic winery specializing in unique Italian varietals, a top end olive oil producer, incredible produce gardens with every kind of plant and flower you can imagine as well as live stock. I highly recommend a visit. We just recently attended one of their monthly dinners at the winery. Exceptional food and wine while meeting interesting people with similar tastes from all over the world. If you can’t get to the farm check out their website and try their olive oil and wines.

A small bio-dynamic winery specializing in unique Italian varietals located outside Healdsburg in Sonoma county. We discovered them while planning a visit to the area and booked a private tasting with Andrew. Our visit started with a crisp glass of Vermentino(wonderful white wine) and a walk round the farm to see the chickens and pigs and to peak at the lush gardens. Next Andrew took us to a private Gazebo-sized building in the middle of the garden for a private, seated tasting. We tasted several rich and wonderful wines while learning more about their philosophy and approach to wine making. We particularly enjoyed the 2012 Sangiovese and the Primitivo. We spent well over an hour relaxing and enjoying the day. We also tasted estate made olive oils and imported balsamic from Modena Italy. This was a great way to conclude our wine tasting day. Anyone with a passion for Italy would enjoy the wines being produced at DaVero Farm & Winery. You can just drop in for the typical stand up bar tasting, but if you want a richer experience, splurge for the seated private tasting. You will be glad that you did.

A nice winery and farm, just a mile from the main town square. They have some great Italian varietals, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The tasting is $ 15 and waived if you buy three bottles. I thought the wine pours were rather small. I would prefer more wine pours and no olive oil and vinegar tastings. The olive oils and vinegars were excellent, but a little pricey. I probably do not cook or entertain often enough or well enough to justify spending $ 20 – 30 for each small bottle. The farm and gardens are nice and fun. Just watching the pigs wander around and sleep in their own filth made me smile. They are located close to the roads so you hear all the cars drive by, takes a little away from the peacefulness and country vibe of the place.

We were able to stop by for the first time today after only hearing good things. We were greeted by chickens and found the tasting room in the back surrounded by a nice patio with corn hole(always a plus!). The varietals were delicious(Italian/Mediterranean — favorite today was Primitivo), and the olive oil was good(especially the balsamic). The guy who poured for us was friendly and knowledgable, and encouraged us to check out the garden. Such a pretty, cute little stop and well worth your time. We bought a refillable jug of wine, ensuring that we will be back!

Really good Italian varietals wines. Really good olive oils. The tasting experience here is really good also. They also have events here not just for embers. So inquire. They have a pizza party around Thanksgiving. Perfect for the day after to get out of the ouse and do something different. They also have a really nice picnic grounds. Bring some food and drink their wine. They also have a growler size bottle you can buy and fill it up each time you visit. A very good value. part of the price goes to a charity that you pick. Really nice.

Amazing place, people, olive oil and wine. The Meyer lemon olive oil in particular is to die for. I rely on them completely for holiday gift baskets such as Meyer Lemon Everything, which is hugely appreciated by my friends who live in Wyoming; it’s like receiving a basket of sunshine. When I’m feeling generous the olive oil makes the very best teacher, thank you and hostess gifts.

When it comes to wineries, they are a dime a dozen here in good ‘ol Sonoma County aka Wine Country. Competition is fierce, and it seems like everyone wants to stand out from the rest… and DaVero certainly does. They make Italian varietals that you can’t really find anywhere else in the area. Their wines are flavorful and full bodied, yet smooth and complex… and are perfect as an every day go-to wine. They don’t have many varietals available, but what they do have is very palette pleasing and memorable. Last time I visited, I took home a bottle of the Primitivo, 2 bottles of their Carignano and a bottle of the Cannonau. They do a lovely Sangiovese which is one of my favorite wines to serve while at a table with friends and family enjoying a wonderful dinner together. What first drew me to DaVero was their olive oil. My mother has been buying it for years and I’ve started the same tradition as it’s so well balanced, and some of the best olive oil I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’m an Italian who loves her olive oil, and have tried many different kinds throughout the years, and DaVero olive oil stands alone. The Meyer lemon oil they make is my favorite and I must have a bottle in the pantry at all times. They make a cooking olive oil, and their estate olive oil is amazing. Get a bottle of the current year if they have it. Aaannnnddd, if you save your bottle and bring it back they will refill it at a discount! They offer a jug of wine(red table wine, not sure which varietal exactly) for $ 24 that you can also bring back and refill for much less($ 12 I believe), which is really a great idea. Ya gotta love any place that offers a recycle program for bringing in old bottles. In addition to being a quaint little winery and olive grove, they are also a Biodynamic farm home to some animals, fruit and citrus trees, lavender and produce. Say hello to the sheep and piggies when you stop in, and take a look at their grounds… they’re pretty spectacular. The jams and preserves they make are delicious. I’ve tried the quince jam(didn’t see any while I was there so perhaps they no longer make it), the lemon curd, hot pepper jelly, apricot jelly and the peach jam. They have many other flavors they make, and they also have an unfiltered and untreated estate wildflower honey that I have yet to try, but I bet it’s great… how could it not be? Their balsamic vinegar is to die for, and great to pair with their olive oil. They have lovely non-edible gifts as well, in addition to all the yummy edibles. Lots to look at when you stop in, and just try to get out of there without taking home at least one thing. I dare ya. Overall, I’ve been around when it comes to wineries, and I just love what DaVero is doing and all they have to offer. Once you have their olive oil you’ll never want to buy from the store again. It’s worth the higher prices I think… because you get what you pay for. Quality products should be priced accordingly, and although their prices are slightly steep, I think they are fair for the most part. Besides, there is no one else around that is producing/selling the wine that DaVero makes, which makes them a rare treat for us locals and those visiting the area.

These are some PHENOMENAL Italian wines that will transport you back to any time you’ve ever spent in country. It’s what I always bemoaned that American wines just(typically) did not offer. Full, flavorful wines without being overwhelming, palette hoggers. These are just killer by themselves, and I could imagine them with a wide variety of foods. Davero only currently has a small selection of wines on their tasting menu — only 3 — but what they do they do RIGHT. It’s been a while since I’ve walked into a winery and just had to have it. And then you learn a bit about their biodynamic farming practices, and taste some of their olive oils and balsamic… holy WOW. They’ll light your palette up and make you wonder what the swill you’ve been using that you called olive oil actually was. This is so fresh, and so robust it will definitely put any dish I use it in over the top! And I’m a foodie that loves to cook, so if I can bring my dishes to that next level I’m all for it. The grounds are perfect too. Have a little stroll, visit with the chickens and pigs, admire their organic veggie garden that is almost too pretty to eat and certain to put yours to shame… we can’t wait to come back in the spring and sit outside to enjoy again! P. S. Gentlemen… GREATDATESPOT. You’re welcome.

Excellent Italian wines, great service, gorgeous garden with every kind of plant and flower you can imagine. Lots of hummingbirds in the garden. Learned a lot about wine making today from Andrew that I didn’t know before — and I have been wine tasting a lot. This is one of my favorite wineries in Sonoma now.

DaVero was recommended to us by some friends that work at another vineyard. When we arrived we started doing the normal tasting with Andrew when he suggested we do a tour of their biodynamic farm. What a great experience! Seeing how passionate they are about whir work was truly inspiring. Not only are they passionate, but they make great wine and olive oils! Pairing the olive oils and vinegars with the wine was ingenious. Highly recommend this vineyard!

Great place to visit! They have the most awesome farm,(and huge pigs!) I really enjoyed their wine and the gentleman who did our tasting explained their winemaking and farming techniques to us, which I loved. They are organic and sustainable and that is a huge plus in my book… I bought two bottles and they offer this awesome jug of wine that you can buy and bring it in for refills, I will definitely be going back!

I was just in Croatia & Slovenia earlier this year where I drank myself through many of the local grape varietals. My favorite was a white grape called the malvasia which makes a fantastic summer wine. I’m not a huge fan of the oaky chardonnay and certain sauv blancs can be a bit too acidic … the malvasia solves both those problems for me. Upon returning from Croatia — I had a hard time finding these white wines so I was delighted to stumble upon them at Davero. To be accurate — Davero specializes in Italian varietals(but since Italy and Istria(a big wine region in Croatia) are practically on the same latitude, the grapes and growing conditions are similar. DaVero also carries olive oils and balsamic vinegars in addition to their selection of wine. But to me, the best part of DaVero are definitely the gardens. I’ve been gardening a lot myself lately so I can appreciate the hardwork and love that goes into working with the earth and growing your own food. Seeing all the bees swarm the lavender leaves me with a bit of hope that the damage we’ve done to the earth isn’t entirely irrevocable. They are dog friendly(and people friendly!) and it’s definitely worth stopping by for a picnic, a meander through the gardens and to visit with the chickens and pigs … and if it’s in season, pick a plum fresh off the tree and enjoy with a glass of wine!

DaVero is a nice stop if you’re biking through the Dry Creek area. The wines were tasty and the farm was pretty cool. BUT, the olive oil tasting was the stand out here. Don’t miss it!

Stopped in for wine tasting. Only had two whites to try. Jo was serving us and since I only drink whites I did not want to try reds. Jo was so insistent that I try a red again and again and again after telling her I do not drink red at least 4 times she actually poured me a red. I walked out. Never going back. Get a clue Jo, I did not want to try a red!

The big chicken logo attracted me to stop by this winery. We are all so glad we did. A very nice small winery. Shannon served us our tastings. She is so nice, she even showed us around so we can see the piggies and the chickens. Their tasting wines are very good and reasonably priced for the quality. We even got to taste their pollo rosso red blend which was good and had a funny bottle. We were also able to taste their olive oil… yummy! We loved this winery and had a great experience here. Highly recommended to visit and grab a bottle or two or all of their tastings. I definitely enjoyed all their reds.

My bf and I stumbled upon DaVero. Oh boy, so glad we did! This place is also a farm. So unlike the wineries in the area with acres of grapevines, we got to walk through their land of produce and farm animals. It was so beautiful in the winter that I can’t imagine how gorgeous it would be on a sunny day. In the tasting room, we met Jo. She’s a seasonal staff member who was just so friendly and knowledgeable. We hit it off right away. She made our tasting so much more enjoyable. The winery only produces Italian wines, which was a nice change and educational experience for me. I’m so used to the bold flavors of local wines. The wines here are lighter but still flavorful. Again, so glad we found DaVero. We will definitely stop by again!

Our favorite winery during our recent trip to Wine Country! Shannon was on staff on the day of our visit and she could not have been nicer. We had a wonderful time tasting DaVero’s wines and olive oils while chatting it up with Shannon and hanging out with DaVero’s house cat. The olive oil was really delicious and I picked up a bottle for a gift. We really loved seeing the chickens and pigs up close, as well. It was our intention to return before heading home but we never made it back. Until next time, DaVero!

Davero did not impress me at all. I was really looking forward to this visit after all of the great reviews, but it fell flat. Their $ 15 tasting fee is outrageous and not even waived with purchase. It would have been acceptable had their wines and olive oils been as great as claimed. The meyer lemon olive oil was good but that was the only one worth noting. The others were just OK and definitely not worth the price tag. They did have a lot of other jams for sale that looked great but you couldn’t try them first and so I opted not to buy. I’d skip this place if you’re on the fence about it.
