We hosted my girlfriend’s birthday at Mill Creek with a group of 20 people. Mill Creek is a small and beautiful winery with an AMAZING view. Bruce, Amanda and rest of the staff is extremely welcoming and nice, and went the extra mile to ensure our group has a great time. They have a beautiful picnic area in the back. They allowed us to bring our own lunch too. Wine tastings and bottles are great and moderately prices. Highly recommend.

Nice place, people and wines. Unpretentious vibe with fair prices. Visited in early 01⁄16 and had the place to ourselves. Wines are very good!

This review is for the wine, not the winery. I’d love to visit someday but because I live in DC it’s a bit of a journey. I have tried many of Mill Creek’s wines: Cab, Zin, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurtztraminer. I think the Cab and Zin are my favorites but it’s hard to pick with such solid examples across the board. I’ll make a special mention of two wines I don’t normally like but that I actually love from Mill Creek: Merlot and unoaked Chardonnay. Merlots for me typically have too much of a tobacco note, but you’ll get none of that with this nice, full-bodied red. As for the Chard… typically I really miss the oak when it’s not there, but this one is full, dry, and sumptuous.

The Cabernets, Syrahs, and Chardonnays are outstanding. That combined with the great service that is only found at a family owned winery makes it a must taste at. Go, it is amazing.

We scheduled this winery as our daughter and her husband had told us about the good time they had at the 2015 Blending Party. There was no special event the day we arrived. It was such a beautiful autumn day, our server asked if we want to sit outside and she would bring our wines to us. Great idea. So we spent a good hour sipping the wine, enjoying the views, and listening to the sound of the water mill. The tasting that day consisted of the 2011 Hillside Zinfandel, 2012 dry creek Zinfandel, 2002&2004 Reflections(red blend), and a 2007 Syrah. I liked the ability to taste the difference between the two different vintages of the red blend. The zins were nice. I could see why our daughter so enjoyed her experience here.

Great winery to visit. Good chardonnay and estate Zinfandel. Ambiance and views from outdoor patio are spectacular. Friendly service. Close to healdsburg. Highly recommend a visit

The wines are terrible. Staff was more worried about their post work plans and trying to get home early. I would NEVER recommend this location or this company to anyone I know. Save your money and time and head up the road to Armida or Twomey.

i don’ t think i’ve ever had a wine that tasted this bad. Opened a 2005 Cab. The smell knocked over the whole table, and not in good way. After we let the wine breath, our taste buds were insulted and crucified. Extremely disappointed. 980 cases were produced. If you have one of these – throw it out. No reason to go back; no reason to buy. Hopefully these alleged winemakers grapes will be heretofore be spared and made into raisins instead. Please, stop making wine.

I live on Mill Creek Road, so I had to visit this winery so I could give an opinion. The wine is nothing special and the prices are dear for an average tasting wine. I didn’t find the help at the serving bar anything but pretentious. I suspect they are bored with serving this average wine to tourists who seldom drink wine enough to know a good wine. The place is indeed a beautiful place to taste wine — but it embarassed me to have this guy talk up an average wine into something it clearly was not. For my $ 10 tasting fee — I’d rather go have a Racer5. If you are from North Dakota, you may like this place.

Love this winery fantastic Merlot, Cabernet, and Gewürztraminer. It is my favorite place to take a picnic, buy some wine and enjoy the company of friends. The setting is Beautiful and the sounds of falling water from the spinning mill wheel are soooooo relaxing :) I have taken some great classic Dry creek valley photos there, so bring your camera.

Love, love, love this winery!!! Came here with my SRJC wine tasting class. I’ve always wanted to stop by because of the mill setting. The building is rustic and charming while the setting is calming, peaceful, and gorgeous. I believe the tasting fee is $ 5 which is really cheap but I’m not 100%. I loved every wine we tasted. I loved the rosé(cool fact, they trademarked the term blush! However they don’t enforce it and now only use the term rosé), Chardonnay Gewürztraminer, and Merlot(left with a bottle of each for the latter two). My winemaker teacher said he personally believes they have the best Merlot in all of Sonoma County and boy, he wasn’t kidding!!! Great place to bring a picnic. I love that it’s family owned(one of their sons is the winemaker). A definite must stop!

It’s rare that my husband and I really like every single wine in a tasting list. We tried both tasting menus at Mill Creek today and enjoyed each one, especially the 2013 Santa Rosa Dry Rose(very unexpected) and the Chardonnay(which was a bit buttery but also had a hint of smoke/sausage), which were my favorites from the list. We also liked the Gewürztraminer, Merlot, and Syrah. The Zinfandels and Cab were good, too, but we passed in favor of doubling or tripling up on the others. Filling up a case and signing up for the wine club were no-brainers. The location/property itself is adorable, and Neita, who poured our wines, was friendly and helpful.

We each did the tasting for $ 5. Jessica took us through each wine. She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable giving highlights of each. And she gave us great tips on other wineries to visit. In addition to the tasting list, we tried the 2010 port they bottled 3 months ago and the Cabernet Chocolate Sauce. If you make a purchase they subtract a tasting fee. I bought the chocolate sauce.

This winery is located on the wonderful Westside Dr in Healdsburg. When we visited on a Friday it was quiet and calm, with just one other couple tasting at the same time. The wines were wonderful! We tasted everything from Sauvignon Blanc to Gewurtzraminer to Zinfandel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even had snacks out for the guests, cheese and Chex Mix.

Wine Tasting is great here – the price is reasonable($ 10 for 5 wines) and there is an outside area to sit overlooking the vineyards with a terrific view. They also have bread sticks to munch on between sips to clear the palate!

We stopped here for a midday lunch or snack or however you want to look at it. The Mill itself is the tasting room and it is pretty cool. We sat out back and enjoyed the nice day. We tried all of their wines and they were ok, but the Cab definitely stood out to me. Their cab is aged in French Oak for 2 years and had this rich dark purple color and it tasted with a lot of spice. I really like it so I definitely left with this bottle! However, the winemakers, to me, really wanted nothing to do with us. They were very standoffish and shrugged off your questions. The woman that was pouring was very nice and she tried to answer our questions as best she could. It was disappointing because I did enjoy that Cab. This is an ok place to stop at; hopefully you will have better service than we did.

The winetenders couldn’t have been less interested in showcasing their wines to us. There was only 2 other people in getting a tasting at the time we went. The older guy gave us the menu and poured the first wine on the list, and then walked back to the guy who was obviously a regular. What.ever. The best thing about Mill Creek was the Waterwheel White and/or Red case for $ 100. Well. $ 112 to be precise. We were told $ 100, but then it changed to $ 112(shady assed winetender guy). But, I must admit, it was the best deal in the area. and seriously the only wines we liked on their entire list. We grabbed a case and left. I’d definitely buy that case again but, I wouldn’t waste time getting a tasting if I ever come back here. pretty lackluster vibe overall.

I walked into this place for a tasting, and they handed me a pulled-pork slider that blew my mind. No matter what wine I was handed after that was going to be the best I’d tasted all day. That’s cheating. Down and dirty, but holy cow it was so wonderful I’m not going to complain! The wine might be good, the food is great. Nowhere else I’ve ever been does as good a job of pairing food and wine(and it wasn’t just the slider). They also have a huge selection of craft mustards that are worth a trip by themselves. The tasting room is in an old mill(hence the name) and they’ve tried to keep that rustic appearance while making the interior very modern and fancy. All in all, great place — but on the pricier side of the other tastings I’ve been to(i.e., $ 5 per person. The others on my list were free!)

I absolutely loved this winery and the woman who helped us! It was an absolutely fantastic experience that included a complimentary food and wine pairing. We bought the Zinfandel based solely on the pairing with blue cheese which tasted fantastic. We used it later that night when we made Zinfandel burgers smothered in blue cheese. It was a fantastic, personal experience.
