Can’t really expect much from a fast food Japanese place. The meat and shrimp has no flavor.

I normally dont like to leave bad reviews, but this is a must… Ordered my food. As I was waiting guess what I seen… A Roach! Yes… Ewwww I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was on the counter. That was disgusting.. I refuse to eat at the mall now. Just made me think of all the other locations connected to this.

There is a cockroach walking around the counter. That’s not a good sign? I don’t want to get sick? I have to throw the food away. What a waste! If you’re a health inspector, please inspect this restaurant and insure the safety for all the customers. Thank you!

I know it’s mall food and shouldn’t expect much, but the spicy tuna roll is hella whack. Another thing, how can you run a Japanese food service and not have any tempura for the only item on the menu that requires tempura?

I cannot deny, the food is delicious. Especially the Sushi, but the customer service sucks. The staff was downright rude. My aunt had tried to order three orders of California Sushi Rolls but the lady had said, «Sorry, we don’t have anymore.» From what I have observed they had a plentiful amount of ingredients to make them. After observing the counter I glanced at the section or station where the lady makes the sushi. And to to my dismay, she was making the sushi when someone else had ordered some sushi. I didn’t say anything because I had thought that perhaps they ran out of a key ingredient, like the crab meat. To test my theory, I had my mother’s boyfriend order the same order my aunt tried to order. And to my disbelief, the lady made the sushi.

I was at the establishment yesterday and ordered a tempura shrimp roll… That was literally what I got. Rice, seaweed wrapper, and tempura shirmp in the middle. Isn’t there suppose to be stuff in between the shrimp and seaweed wrapper?! Man was that a big disappointment.

ordered beef teriyaki paid 7.84 and the food was alright. but disappointed at the small portion of beef and vegetable they give you. they give you a huge portion of rice but they give you a small portion of beef and vegetable. for the amount i paid i wished there were more beef and vegetable. and i asked for to go and thought they would at least place the to go box inside a plastic bag for you… but they give you the to go box and a plastic bag and expect you to place the to go box yourself… probably never go there again rather go to the Chinese food next door.

We had the chicken and beef combo for lunch. Considering this came from a food court, it was pretty good. Big portions too!

Surprisingly decent considering it’s in the food court at Southland Mall, of all places. Yes, I was actually at Southland(which is not nearly as bad as the borderline elitist reviews would suggest). I hadn’t been here for years, and happened to have business in the area, so I figured I would reacquaint myself with the place. It was getting a bit late, and hadn’t had lunch yet. I decided to do something I rarely do… brave a mall food court. Out of the options, Sansei seemed the least objectionable, and prices are quite reasonable to boot. I ordered a teriyaki chicken plate, which goes for $ 5.99, but you can DOUBLE the meat for only a buck extra! What a steal. And to top it off, portions are HUGE, even for the regular size. Best of all, it’s not actually half bad! To be fair, I undoubtedly had very low expectations, which were blown to absolute smithereens. The chicken is juicy, tender, and as mentioned, quite ample. In addition, everything is cooked to order right in front of you. For comparison’s sake, I’d say that it is much better than Yoshinoya, and about the equivalent to a run of the mill, sit down, non-Japanese owned Japanese restaurant. To no one’s surprise, the employees here are also obviously not Japanese, but for what it is, Sansei is more than adequate to fuel you on your Southland Mall fitted caps, kicks, and gold chain shopping sprees.

Great Value I had lunch at the mall yesterday. This kiosk is new, and I’m glad that I gave it a chance(I’m surprised that the kiosk it replaced wasn’t around for long– it sold authentic Mexican dishes and seemed to be popular). : Sansei is like a cousin to Chinese Gourmet Express. In fact, at the mall the kiosks are right next to each other! (My wife ordered from Chinese Gourmet Express. I like their food too, but last year I had to lower my earlier rating to 3 stars.) I was left waiting around at first(the employees were all busy). My order was finally taken after a minute. 4 employees were around. The men all worked hard, especially the 2 cooks. One of the men was basically in charge of the veggies. He was quite jovial(he smiled a lot, as if he had a sweet secret). The cashier ran a tight ship. He was also comically loud(«CHICKENANDBEEF! CHICKENANDBEEF!»). I was startled for a moment(it was almost like he was yelling at his coworkers). I can picture him talking to his kids(TIMEFORBED! TIMEFORBED!). Like my hookers, your food will be HOT. I had to be careful while bringing mine to my table(of course, someone got in my way when I started walking). I received a decent number of napkins. The napkins, though, are cheap as hell. There are about 20 items on the menu. Here are some examples: Side Orders: Egg Rolls: $.79 each. Vegetables: $ 1.59. Medium Soft Drink: $ 1.59. Large: $ 1.79. Bottled Water: $ 1.49. Teriyaki Plates: Chicken Teriyaki: $ 5.39. Beef Teriyaki: $ 5.69. Shrimp Teriyaki: $ 6.19. Teriyaki Combo Plates: Chicken & Beef: $ 6.59. Beef & Shrimp: $ 7.19. Chicken & Shrimp: $ 6.99. It’s too close to the register(some of the customers hovering around were annoying), but the condiment area is solid. (I wish pepper packets were available, but I’m not surprised that they’re not.) The food containers are like this: . It would be helpful if they were like this instead: . It would make eating your food smoother(all the compartments aren’t necessary). I only had to wait about 3 minutes for my food. Trays seem to be available, but I wasn’t given one. : Chicken & Beef: 8.5÷10. I should have said no to the onions and mushrooms(I was in an agreeable mood, and I thought that my wife was going to have some). It took me a few minutes to clear out all the«gunk» that I didn’t want(I’m a picky eater, and I want to make it clear that my score takes this into account). My beef was juicy and delectable. I was also pleased that there was almost no fat to deal with. I only wish that I had been given a bit more beef. My chicken was tasty(some pieces were stuck together like they were having an orgy– these were the only pieces that were kind of fatty). I’m a fan of it too. I received a large portion of rice(I left a few pieces behind, which I never do). It was a bit bland(I flavored it up with some soy sauce), but it was nice and hot. There were also only a few hard pieces. : I make a big deal about what I paid because the kiosk is at a mall. At most of the other food kiosks, I have to spend about $ 12 in order to get full. This kiosk is already popular. I hope that it’s around for a long time.
