Decent enough café if you work nearby. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there, though. The food is standard fare with good portions at a fair price. Taste wise, it’s okay. My Cajun steak sandwich was anything but Cajun. The meat was tender but didn’t have the«kick» I was expecting. My coworker ordered the ham and cheese panini which has too much spinach. Spinach? Their onion rings were frozen, similar to what you can buy at Safeway.

This is your average café nestled in a business park, best to visit during lunch. What sets this place apart is the FRESHNESS and portion sizes: both are above average! They have a great special every day and on my visits I have tried the pasta, salads, and fresh fruits. The pasta is freshly made, delicious, and unique! Plus, boy how they give you large side portions! I was pleasantly surprised. Also above average: the service! The people here are very pleasant, eager to please, and super nice. It’s always a pleasure to eat lunch here.

Right in the middle of a business park makes this café convenient for breakfast or lunch. They are consistent in service, food quality and cleanliness. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant to break away from work for a bite.

Eden Plaza Café is definitely hidden in the rear of Eden Plaza. they’re not visible from the winding street, definitely occupying the cheapest lease pads. space is narrow and lengthy. coffee: unbranded, in thermos, passed. eats: pastrami on dutch crunch(4.99) passed on cheese upgrade –4 pieces of meat with the usual lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc. –sammie cheerfully warmed up –nice bread. so so, meager fillings crumbs: –quizno only other eating option in area –cheap prices for meager servings –fast, cheerful service. –daily special lunch entrees. –definitely not gourmet, value 4 stars, foodie experience 3 stars.

Working in the industrial area of Hayward doesn’t leave you much choices for lunch except for fast food, so it’s great to have a place like this nearby. Everything I’ve eaten here is pretty good and fresh. I especially like all the different salads(pasta, green, fruit) that they offer and their chicken special is yummy as well!

Since this place has changed ownership there is no consistancy. I buy the same things constantly and am always charged a different price. I get the impression she just charges as she feels like — I don’t think she does it based on the customer, just doesnt bother to remember prices. And if you call in an order expect it to be wrong unless you are there to correct them while their making it. The employees are very friendly and get orders correct more often than the owner.

not bad for a quick grub down during my lunch break at work. The hot sandwiches are great and I recommend you try em. Not much to say because its really the best spot to walk to during my lunch break and nothing exciting.

i’ve had an office down the street for many years, and finally had their Pepper Steak sandwich with onion rings. And I have to agree that their steak sandwiches are very delicious! The best I can remember having maybe ever!!! And the onion rings were nice a crunchy. Good job. Their BLTs are great also. **** Just tried their GYROS! Another winner!****

This place has the Best Cheese Steak! Hands Down! Also serves an awesome variety of pasta salads! I’ve tried a few of their sandwichs which are fresh and tasty, but once I tried the cheese steak, I was hooked!

Just tried this spot out for lunch with some co-workers this week. The food was about average, the service was pretty good, pricing was a bit higher than average(still under $ 10 for lunch) and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and out. I had the gyro lunch special with a side of fruit salad. The gyro was about average, not bad but I’ve had better. The fruit salad was pretty good with a generous serving provided. I really wanted to try the baked chicken special but they ran out just when I got into line. maybe next time. I’ll keep this in the rotation.

I use to work in the same business park as this café/deli. I miss it a lot. The food was always freshly prepared and the value for the large portions was great. My favorite breakfast was either the big fluffy pancakes or a ginormous breakfast burrito loaded with anything you want. Couldn’t ever go wrong with the baked chicken at lunch time or the taco salad… again LOADED! Oh and the pasta salad with the spinach, sun dried tomato and feta cheese was the best. I often try to make it myself(I do a good job but its not the same). Often times I’d find myself wandering over to the deli for an afternoon snack either a big yummy cookie or on more health conscious days some fruit salad. I wish I had a great place like this near my current job but a las I suppose my waistline is better off. Our company still uses the deli on occasion for large sandwich orders and catering even though its across the bridge from us now its worth it for the quality and value. I’d recommend this deli to anyone who works in the area and is looking for a good place to grab breakfast or lunch!

As I sit and write this review, munching on my taco salad, I am thinking about how disappointed I am with it. Everything else on top, the guac, salsa, sour cream, is okay. But the chips, oh the chips! The most important aspect of a taco salad are stale. They are round little machine-made tortilla chips, rubbery and hard at the same time. My issue isn’t that they weren’t handmade, I just wished they were fresh! My review isn’t based on just this taco salad also. I’ve eaten food here for 7 years now, not by choice, but because my company uses them for catering. The quality and presentation of the food has never changed. The sandwiches always look a day old, especially with the shredded iceberg lettuce that they use. It’s definitely cheaper than the other delis around(not quiznos, a REAL deli) but you really do get what you pay for. For the two dollars that you save, you could be a much happier camper going with the other guys. I think for the most part, this place is a miss. The only reason we started to do more catering with this company rather than the other deli was to save more money, but boy did I hear the complaints from other employees. So now, for days when we have special guests coming, we make a point not to use them. Also, the service, if you’re going to be using them for delivery, their devil horns come out if you place your order at the last minute. We are a corporate place, we cannot always place our orders a few days beforehand. Meetings get set up unexpectedly! The other deli is much more flexible to your needs, as they should be. Eden needs to step up their game. I’m just speaking the truth. Reason for two stars and not one, there aren’t a lot of options around this area so our company will use them again. Hopefully their chips aren’t stale next time.

I used to come to this café almost everyday for breakfast and lunch. I worked directly across the parking lot so I had easy access. That was 3 years ago so I haven’t gone there a lot since, but once in a while, I’ll sneak in for lunch. First of all, I gotta say that the staff are the nicest people you could meet. They always greet everyone like they’re part of the family. I always feel welcome when I go there. They serve a variety of different things. The main menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, salads, burritos, etc. Everyday of the week they had something new on the hot plate. From what I can remember, some of their daily hot plates were lasagna, meat loaf, roasted chicken, tamales and a whole bunch of other stuff. They also have a huge selection of delicious salads made fresh daily. I rarely ordered the burgers. For breakfast, I ordered either the grilled ham egg and cheese or the breakfast burrito. The grilled ham egg and cheese was always made to perfection. The melty cheese blends the whole sandwich together so tastefully. I used to get my eggs over medium so the runny eggs burst in my mouth when I bit into the yolk. Yummy… The breakfast burrito isn’t like the skimped little wraps you get at McDonalds or Carl’s Jr. It’s almost a same size as an actual burrito. It has eggs, shredded hash browns, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole in it. It’s LOADED, but of course I still get extra everything in it. Nobody does it like that! Man that’s what I miss the most about the café! When lunch time comes around, I like to order either the taco salad, which is also loaded up just like the breakfast burrito. Most of the time I order something light like a bowl of fruit or pasta salad because I’m still full from breakfast. They also cater, which we did a lot through the café because it was right across the street and it was convenient. And also because they let us IOU. Miss this place… will see you soon.
